    Pistachio ice cream. Delicious!

We we're staying nearby and looking for a curry fix. Saw this place on Yelp and we headed straight there. It's a relaxed affair, so despite the Michelin recommendation it's not super posh. It had the atmosphere of any other lively curry house. It's also fairly small, so it was quite noisy when we were in (there were a number of large groups) We ordered the chicken Makhani and chicken Jalfrezi and we were not disappointed! I usually can't finish a whole curry in one sitting but I wolfed the whole lot down. Portion size was about right. Genuinely one of the best curries I've ever had. Additionally I'm gluten free and they had many options for my dietary needs. I had the pistachio ice cream for dessert, which was very nice indeed, if a little overpriced at £7 for two scoops. If we're in the area again then we'll definitely go back.

Slow to serve but they do set a nice table!

Dark and moody with a very busy LOOKING staff, but my experience is that they're not really attentive. In fact I've started this review as I'm waiting to order!!! I got a little bored sitting here with my menu closed so I decided to start typing into my phone....Slowly... I just now counted the 4th person to pass me AFTER I initially said I was ready to order. ....and finally someone took my order. Why did I stay you ask? Although I am anxious to order and eat, it was quite a jaunt for me to get here and it's drizzling, so I could use a moment to sit. However, I'm doing takeout (cuz I'm eating alone and would prefer to do so in the comfort of my hotel room with the Telly on) so my "sit" will hopefully be shortlived. This fiid bettah be good cuz they can't rely on ambience to impress me...which it would. The food was fine, might've been more enjoyable had I experienced it in the restaurant. Ultimately I'd say it was really pretty, romantic even, but they could use a little more attention to customer service...for all customers.

I got the recommendation from hotel I am staying in, and it was great. - Delicious food. Kind staff and no delays at all. - I ate in restaurant but saw customers who came to pick orders up. - I enjoyed the food a lot and will come back again.. this week! - Nice pricing. -They accept AMEX.

Chicken Tikka Masala (Front), Banana Flower (Back)

Excellent! I've been here twice and both times I haven't been disappointed. This restaurant always greets you with a small soup shot (flavor changes daily). The first time it was Pumpkin Coconut and the second time was Coriander Cauliflower. Both were absolutely delicious. For dinner, I actually didn't order off the menu. I asked if they could make Chicken Tikka Masala and they immediately said yes. I ordered that with garlic naan. My friend always orders the Banana flower and loves it. The food here is excellent. Great portions and tastes so so good. The cocktails are great as well. I've order their Indian sour before and loved it. I will be back here a million more times!!

A lot of people are missing out on this one, it is one of the best in the area and maybe even in London. As it is not central to Hammersmith, it is a bit of a walk from the Broadway might be one reason that it has not been found by everyone and rammed every night. Good news in my opinion as you can still get in easily. Numerous awards adorn the windows which gives you an idea that what is to follow is going to be good. The Owner has worked in many renowned restaurants and hotels and has a reputation for his food. No need to talk about how good the décor is etc as it is all good, Go there for the food and you will thoroughly enjoy it. I have never heard a bad word spoken about his place and I doubt I ever will, it is that good. You have been told, If you don't go it will be your loss - trust me.

Me and two friends visited Indian Zing on a Friday evening when it was very busy and fairly lively for an Indian. I decided upon the jumbo prawn speciality dish, it was pretty impressive and came presented on a banana type leaf and the prawns had been flame cooked which adding to the taste. my friend ordered the Lamb Dhansak with dill, pumpkin, aubergine, tamarind, fenugreek & lentils which as a fan of the Dansak which tasted good but not great (yes I persuaded her to let me taste the sauce). My other Friend ordered a chicken dish which she said was okay. The prices are reasonable and the service is good. I like this place and would recommend it. Although it is not outstanding in my opinion, I would recommend it if you are restricted to a local place. If not, check out my other reviews.

3 sauces that come with the papadums

One of the best Indian restaurants I've been to. The papadums with 3 sauces are great, the vegetable samosas are excellent, and everything we tried was extraordinary. Fantastic service, and the gulab jamum dessert was also top notch.

The fish curry was perfect and the service impeccable. My only complaint was that my sour was too sweet. That's barely a complaint at all.

Definitely among the best Indian places I have eaten. I had the appetizer platter along with fish curry items.

A bit cramped where we were. Food was all really good. A bit on the expensive side for a curry but value considering the food quality.

There was another woman ordering lots of takeaway and some snacks to enjoy while she waited, and a few couples, but the place was quiet. As I looked over the menu, I saw that they also have garlic & onion free options. As I have a colleague who is always looking for such options, and I don't see that much in the states, I wondered if that's something that most places here advertise. I chose the saag paneer with naan and rice pilau. Saag paneer was tasty, a little runnier than I'm accustomed to, but still great flavor, and just what I needed. Rice was unimpressive - I wish I'd just eaten the saag with a spoon. Service was meh - not friendly, but not rude. Didn't really seem interested in serving me - just ticking boxes.

For of you out there non veggie and veggie it doesn't matter this place is a must on any restaurant…read morechecklist. Aurora is right, they are very friendly and helpful, you are treated so nicely, you are even spoiled and then Sagar becomes the measuring stick of other restaurants, in terms of customer service. It mainly specialises in dishes from South India, like the dosa (rice pancakes type), other wonderful things about this place include the lunchtime special which is a real steal, at £4.50 for a big selection of dishes - it includes dosas, poppadoms and desserts! The place itself seems a bit cramped maybe a couple of tables too many, so it can be annoying when children are running around, so I would recommend going on a weekday. And another thing, £3.75 for a takeaway box is stupidly cheap so it must be taken advantage of immediately.
