If you love Indian food or have been wanting to give it a try, now's your chance. We have been to this location many times and it never disappoints. The restaurant itself is tucked in the corner of a slightly run down strip mall off of the I-17. The dining room is spacious and clean. It is a seat yourself situation but there is plenty of staff to assist you. It is a buffet style restaurant but they also have menu items as well as a full bar. The foods at the buffet change slightly on any given day so you can always try something new. Make sure to try the lamb curry, Tandori Chicken Thighs, Creamed Spinach and Aloo Mattar (curried potatoes & peas). There is a small salad bar where you will want to add some yogurt sauce to your plate of curries to cut the spice. They recently raised their prices a tiny bit to adjust for inflation but it only costs $15 for All You Can Eat Buffet!! You just can't beat that price! I am from Kansas City and am blessed to have some VERY GOOD Indian! This place was middle of the road at best. We went for the lunch buffet and found several of the dishes to be watered down sauces. Not thick or really creamy (Tikka Masala and Veggie). The chai was not sweet. The naan was free and tasted ok, but not very thick. If you just want an Indian buffet with decent food, this is for you. First, I know little to nothing about Indian food, but I learned everything I needed to know about the flavor and texture with the meal we had. I am describing the dishes as I do not know the proper names. The onion type fritters were delicious for appetizers. There was also a cheese that was coated and you could dip. The chicken dish that was stewed and it was a very large portion. Along with the veggie rice that was light and fluffy with a yogurt side. The service was wonderful as we were guided away from the hot spicy dishes and asked for "American mild" that was just right for our palate. We will be back soon. read more

This is such a great Indian place. We go here every time we are in OC. Chicken tikki masala is amazing and comes with so much chicken. We ordered too much because most places give you maybe 5 small pieces but there was a lot of chicken. So we had leftovers. Raita is perfect. The appetizer veggie fritters so tasty. The chicken masala was the best chicken masala I've ever had; there were so many unique, flavorful surprises with each bite. What I didn't enjoy the most was the lighting. Several of the lights were behind ceiling fans causing a strobe effect that was very uncomfortable. Additionally, I wish they would switch to warmer lighting to reflect their warm, comforting food. My wife and I go here as much as we can. Why cause it's awesome. I can't decide which place is better this one or another place we go to by tempe. But I will choose this place cause it's closet to me. It's clean it's good and they always have great movies or music videos playing. The nann here to die for. My grandparents and I regularly drive 30 minutes to eat here, despite the fact that there are at least three closer Indian restaurants with a lunch buffet.  I couldn't give a single reason why - it's a combination of the welcoming service, the quality of the food, and the rotating variety of options.  The buffet will always have chicken tikka masala, saag, daal, and tandoori chicken, but other options rotate.  Their matter paneer is my favorite, but I've never had a curry I didn't like.  They also usually have a less common meat (from an American perspective) like lamb or goat.   I'm always too full to have gulab jamun for dessert, but I always do anyways. I appreciate how easy it is to be vegetarian and otherwise health-conscious about your food choices.  They have a salad bar, but the vegetable-based options are far from limited to that.  Of course, the rice and naan are great carb-based additions, too, so you can balance your food groups.  I recommend using the garlic naan as a silverware alternative.  They bring it fresh to the table and it's simple but excellent.  We keep coming back for the service, as well.  The staff make regular visitors feel like they're being welcomed home.  Everything is always clean and fresh.  We've never had to wait to be seated, even if the restaurant seems pretty full.  They play Indian music in the background and have music videos on TVs, which I find fun.  The decoration is relatively subtle but in keeping with the theme.  With stellar service and great food, we'll keep coming back. read more
