My second plate. Rice, chicken, and curries

Short on time for office lunch? Buffet is way to go with minimal to no wait time for food on your plate. This Indian restaurant has the regulars: grilled chicken, butter chicken, spicy meatballs, a multitude of curries, and vegetarian options for your rice and nan. Buffet is only served on Thursdays and Fridays during lunch hours. Plenty of parking space. Service is quick. Ambiance is of ethnic decor and so is the music. Food isn't too spicy but it's flavorful. It's almost a ritual for the office crew to go here at least twice a month if that tells you how good this place is.

Was on my way to another restaurant but saw their signage on Highway 270 and made a detour and glad I did since it's been a while since I visited their restaurant. I've been a patron since they were located by the airport. The food is far superior from what I can remember and this new location is easy to access. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is very attentive. The buffet is a great deal especially on a weekend where they more selections.

This is my second time visiting India Palace. Both were much buffet which I love. I say this place has the best value for good Indian food with all the popular Indian signature dishes! For weekend buffet, it is $17.99 all you can eat! They have goat meat, tandoori chicken...... many curry dishes! They also have the fried naan! We really enjoy the food here! Many people come and peak hour there are lines!

I've started a dinner club with my friends and first up was Indian Food and it did not disappoint! I got the chicken tikka masala. It was SO GOOD. It was filling too. The place looked real nice with the decor. Service a little slow but the waiters were nice. I'll be back again soon.

I used to come here often for their weekend buffet, but haven't been back for a while. Somehow I forgot about this place. So I came with my friends last weekend. The goat curry was delicious as I remembered. They also had chicken65, chicken korma, other vegan dishes, salad, and desserts. It's a steal for $16.95 per person. Service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. I"ll definitely come back for the goat curry.

This is the best Indian I've had the pleasure of finding in St Louis so far. Came for the weekend lunch buffet and every offering was a HIT! Servers were very attentive with water and plates, and there were ample offerings by the buffet. Meat was tender as could be and tandoori chicken was fall of the bone tender when it came out fresh. Lots of interesting decor and would 100% come here again and enjoy a scrumptious meal.

Personal and friendly service delicious mango lassi. I could only eat one plate as I tried a little of everything and it was al so savory and fresh. Glad to have a buffet that is open Thursday and Friday's as well as the weekend. Open and spacious dining room with plenty of parking.

Navratan Korma (vegetable korma) and Vegetable Jalfrazi

BEST INDIAN FOOD WE'VE EVER HAD!! We were from out of town and staying at the Motel 6 next door, and decided to try this place because it was convenient. What a wonderful decision! My husband and I are vegetarians and India Palace has many vegetarian dishes on their menu. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, and the seasoning was perfect - just spicy enough to make things interesting, with a nice balance of other flavors too. The service was great, everything looked very clean, and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely come back here the next time we're in the area.

Expected a buffet (that's what the signs say) but they now have a lunch menu instead (see photo). Buffet is on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only. We went with Tandori Chicken and Chicken Tikka Marsala. They started us off with some spicy vegetable soup. Not expecting it, but it was quite good. My Tikka Marsala was delightful. Very tasty with tender chunks of chicken. There could have been more chicken pieces in it, but with the increasing cost of breasts I guess they had to cut back somewhere. The Tandori was 6 drumsticks on a bed of grilled onions and peppers. The meat was about average tasting - nothing wrong with it, just not exceptional. The onions and peppers were soft and detectible. Will be coming back, but more likely than not, on the weekend.

I went here for their lunch buffet. I been here several times so far and I liked it. When craving Indian buffet I definitely recommend that you try this place out but make sure you go during busy hours since the food get replenish quicker so it will taste fresher. When I walked into this place, the staff greeted me very quickly and I was seated promptly. It is buffet style so once i ordered my drink then I just go to fill my plate. The emptied plates were quickly removed The server was nice. The atmosphere is inviting. Their price is decent. I definitely will come back

    Buffett options.

She was very pleasant and kind throughout our entire experience. The dining room is so cute, and there is plenty of seating. I got the chick'n tikka wrap with fries and a mango milkshake. I enjoyed my wrap, the sauce was amazing. The fries were delicious, too. They let you pick the seasoning level which I thought was very nice- they were perfect. The star was the mango milkshake- a bit pricey for being so small at $9.99, but it was so delicious and perfectly sweet. I'm still craving it now a few days later. My friends got the Dubai Chocolate milkshake and we are begging for it to be apart of the permanent menu! It was so good and had nice little crunchy pieces inside. If you're looking for vegan food, definitely check this out! However, if you aren't vegan like myself, I would still highly recommend. I will definitely return in the future.

Big plus is being able to see the food and know what to expect, ain't with a description. For someone who is indecisive, like me, It made deciding what to order much easier! Pro: vegan ingredients that don't lack in flavor, they serve beer/cider, had their own kombucha, vegan ice cream/soft serve, and it's an environmentally conscious restaurant Con: display case of desserts but the ooey gooey butter cake (vegan) had mold on top of it, tofu dish was luke warm, and there was minimal/if any full front of house staff so people had to ding a bell to get their attention (which can become a bit irritating for dinning in customers) Would like to try again, but will probably stick to the lions mane crab rangoon wontons and a shake or soft serve dish.

While browsing reviews, we came across a hidden gem in St. Ann called Maaji's Street Kitchen that had surprisingly high ratings. I couldn't believe how well-reviewed it was, so we decided to check it out for ourselves. We arrived around 5:30 PM on a Monday and were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in. We made our way to the counter to place our order, and the staff member was very helpful once we mentioned it was our first time. He walked us through the menu and even pointed out different dishes and combo options on their digital signage display menu, which made ordering much easier. We placed our order to go and waited inside. It's a small space, but it's decorated with unique art and has a really unique vibe. There was a hypnotic Indian song playing in the background, which added to the atmosphere. We sat at a table that had a game on it--I believe it was called Carrom, a tabletop game where you flick checker-sized discs into corner pockets, similar to a mini pool table. A woman who I assume was the owner or manager came out from the back and greeted us. While we waited, she showed us how to play the game. As we were playing, she came back and even offered us samples of the food we had ordered. I was honestly impressed by the level of hospitality--it's not something you experience very often. The sample alone was some of the best Indian food I've had. The spices were perfectly balanced for my taste, and it made me even more excited to get home and dig into our full meal. My wife ordered the Mixed Vegetable Curry Bowl, and I went with Combination #2 (Shredded Chicken Curry, Steamed Rice, and Parantha), along with a side salad. Overall, the experience was fantastic. I can't remember the last time we were treated this well at a restaurant, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more dishes.

Walking in the hostess was kind and cheerful. My waitress came over soon after and was pleasant. Not over the top friendly, but helped me with my order. She never came back. My food was delivered by a young man who seemed like he was having a bad day. He walked over put my plate down, turned around and walked away. I was trying to ask him for salt and pepper, but missed him. Shortly afterwards, an older gentleman who may have been the owner or manager, came over to check on me. The ambience was decent. The lighting was good. The restaurant was clean. The food was also reasonably priced. (I went to another Indian restaurant a few few weeks later and then naan (bread) was $6, which at that location was nearly half the price of my meal! ) The food appeared to be a meager portion, but that was just based on the presentation. It was actually a substantial amount; I only was able to eat half (A lot of restaurants work to make their items look bigger than they are in this one it was the opposite). As I was finishing up, I called over the manager, had him bring me a box in the check. He did that took my payment and thanked me for coming by. I would definitely go back to house of India. The service wasn't over the top as I like to have a server do more than just take my order, but they did have a system, my food was hot and tasty, I was served quickly, and I left pleased and ready to begin my 18 hour fast.
