Loved it! This place is really good. Service was fast and the waitresses were attentive. I'm overall the food was really good too. Wish the palak paneer had been just a tad more flavorful but the chicken tikka masala was on point. Portions were also filling, which is usually an issue I have at Indian restaurants. Great experience and will save it for when I'm craving Indian food again.

You might be tempted to drive past this place, but you need suspend your gut reaction and give it a try. We stopped by for a late dinner (only about 40 minutes before they closed for the night) and it was pretty empty, but we were welcomed and seated immediately. The server was very polite and attentive. We ordered garlic naan, Indian mix onion paneer aloo kulcha, chicken vindaloo, and chicken tikka masala. Naan was great - classic and would order again. I had never had the aloo kulcha and it was very good (think a naan with extra stuff in it - cheese, onions, potatoes). Both chicken dishes were delicious; we couldn't pick a favorite. You can choose your level of spice - we got one medium and one spicy and they definitely had some zing, but were not overwhelming! Both entrees came with sides of white rice. Generous portions - we ate much more than we should have and still had leftovers. Overall, this was a great experience. They seem to do a lot of takeout as well (saw lots of delivery drivers in and out picking up orders). We can't wait to come back and try out some other dishes!!

Wow the BEST Indian food in El Paso!! This place is a must try! I'm originally from the Bay Area so we have very good Indian food but this topped it. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan, spicy. All was amazing!! The service was wonderful and very attentive. I'll def be coming back here when I come back to visit El Paso.

So, we get basically TWO options for fine Indian cuisine in the old western town of El Paso; and this is the 4 star one (the other is probably 2.5) The service is always great. It is straight forward. Ladies will ask what you want, you tell them what you want, and they bring it to you. A little later on, the lady will ask you to give her money for what you wanted, you will give her money for what you wanted, and then you can leave. Why all service isn't like this, blows my mind... The ambiance isn't much to write home about. There's always a "smell", kinda. Not like a bad one, and after about 10 minutes you get noseblind, but you'll notice it when you walk in. It's not necessarily even bad - and maybe it's the smell of India for all I know - but it's just different is all. The food though? Absolutely love it. My go to is chicken tikka masala with its rice and cheese naan (or butter naan), and a mango lassie. But you knew that because every photo I've added here shows that same thing lol

I have been waiting to eat here and came on a Saturday, early evening. No wait. The inside is ok but could use some work on the decor and overall ambiance. We placed our order but had to hold our fingers up, too many times to request things like refills and forgotten items. We waited longer than usual to request to go boxes and the check. Our server was nice but not easily accessible. The food was delicious and flavorful. The samosas, the curry goat, and Lamb Tiki Masala were all delicious. The prices are reasonable in comparison to other places. The service and overall ambiance is the only reason for 3 stars, other than that it's a 4 IMO.

We visited on Easter Sunday after a few recommendations. El Paso doesn't have enough Indian food restaurants. Honestly I am conflicted in writing this review. The location is convenient, easy to find. Upon walking in we were seated but they must have been very short staffed because it took a long time to order and get our food. In fact, I think they brought out someone from the kitchen to help serve. My worst comment must be regarding their restrooms. I hope it was only on this day but I literally walked to the back to use the restroom and I walked straight back yo my seat. The smell of sewage was so bad that I could not walk into the women's restroom, even with the door propped open. Even after I sat down at my booth it took me a long time to get rid of the smell in my nose. My appetite was gone. We stayed to wait on the food. I admit it was all very flavorful. The chicken soup, while flavorful, was mostly water. The Butter Chicken, rice and Naan was great. Prices were very reasonable. All in all, not sure where I sit on this place. I'll probably visit again before any set opinion

Don't let appearances fool you. The food here is excellent. You can choose the spice level of your food if spicy is too hot for you. I like the chicken masala medium with rice and it is very good. Then there are plenty of appetizers to choose from. You need to give this place a try. Also take out is available.

I want to say best Indian food in town, but honestly this is the only Indian restaurant I've tried since I got to El Paso. My local friends swear by this restaurant though, so I'll trust their judgment when they say this is the best. First of all, the servings are absolutely beautiful. The buttery Naan was everything I wanted and the spiciness in every dish was perfection. I highly recommend the spicy lamb korma, I think I cleaned the bowl trying to get all sauce. The fried paneer appetizer is also a must!

So let's just get it out of the way, the internal decor is pretty shabby and looks like it hasn't been updated since the 50s, and the outside is similarly janky and honestly made me wonder if this place was open at all. We went to try this new place, what a disappointment! The signs made with paper, I thought this was going to be a new Restaurant and NO, it was old in every way.. the chairs, the high chairs the entrance doors dusty and not only that, dirty building, the wall decor on the walls holding by push pins, outside, the landscape full of weeds, about the food, horrible! Was a little upset the food took so long since we waited over 30 minutes but it was all well worth it. The lamb Tikka misala was so good. I was disappointed in the size of the plate at first since it looked so small but don't let that fool you. For its size it will get you definetly full. So great I will be coming here again in the near future. Decor could use some work . Looks outdated . Aside from that food is 5 out out 5 . Service 3 out of 5 making this overall rating a 4 for me read more

I got the Butter Chicken and naan. comes with white rice it is really good. I have gastritis and I decided to try it when I felt better just in case if it was spicy but it was not!!! Super fresh, and as an emetophobic person (fear of puking) freshness is vital. I love it I recommend!!! read more

Ordered the chicken tikka masala, rice, and naan bread. The chicken tikka masala was very good. Despite it being a carry out order, it was still hot and tasted very fresh upon arrival. The chicken was a bit tough, but nonetheless good. The rice and naan bread were also very good and tasted as if they had been freshly made. read more

The food here is absolutely scrumptious! Ordered the vegetable biryani and it was some of the best I've ever had. Samosas were standard but tasty. Their spicy chutney was bomb dignity! The aloo gobi was perfect in texture and delicious. The order took quite some time to fulfill but the food was very fresh and 100% worth the wait. Can't wait to tell all my friends and family about this place. And they cater!!!! Woohoo!! read more

Update!.. I was told that they change dishes often so I decided to give them another chance. I went back today and it was an enjoyable surprise. Dishes were right on point, they were not salty and the Indian flavors were there. The Tandoori chicken was much better but some pieces were too dry. Without a doubt the owner listens customers opinion to improve quality. I hope they will maintain today's quality standard. I will come back soon. read more

My first time trying Indian food and I'm so happy! It was delicious! Ordered for delivery the chicken vindaloo medium spiciness. It was SO good! I recommend it! Food was good. The chicken tikki masala and butter chicken were yummy. I just wish it wasn't just sweet and had some heat to it. The garlic naan was good. The garlic on it seemed like garlic that you buy pre chopped in a bottle rather than fresh. Fresh would've made it perfect. read more

Love to go to the India Hut. The food is tasty. I noticed that from the opening that the clientele has been shrinking and I am concerned. Last time I lunched there I was appalled to see how many diners took their dirty plates back for refills, with no one telling them that this is not right. In one case the waitress did tell a diner he needs a new plate and he protested. There were 10 people in the restaurant for lunch and seven of them took their dirty plates back to the buffet to refill. Then I looked around and there is no signage telling the diners that they need to get a new plate for each trip to the buffet. Anyone who has ever been to a buffet, knows that, it is the cardinal rule to get a clean plate before returning to the buffet, except if you li ve under a rock. However, the manager needs to emphasize this, for cleanliness and safety of the diners. . I wonder if the health department should show up there and see no effective signage, what wool happen. Seeing all those people going back to the buffet with their dirty plates was upsetting and almost nauseating. Please someone do something about this before the health department may have their say. We hate to loose a good Indian restaurant in El Paso tx read more

I learned Dave's hot chicken is too hot for me so went for mild today. Service was great as was the meal. It was a little slow but I assune everyone is figuring things out. Overall, I have no complaints at all. There are seats inside as well as outside. Then the entrance is in the rear so it may seem confusing at first. The official opening is this Friday.

Horrible experience . I ordered butter chicken with naan bread . I paid $20 for a meal not even enough to feed a little kid . There soooooo cheap . 7 spoons of rice only they send with a small container of butter chicken . This is a rip-off . I'm not going there any more . Even the naan bread I get it from other restaurants for free . It comes with food . Which I paid for . I'm not asking for a big meal . But at least enough to feed a dult person . And the size of the sauce container does not match the size of the rice container. The rice container was sooooo small enough to fit 7 spoons of rice only . Make sure before u spend ur money there . At least. To get what ur money worth Naan bread not what I expected. Definitely not going there any more . read more

Fantastic. Like surprisingly fantastic. This place has only been open for a week and we sort of came across this place by accident. Could not have been happier. The garlic Naan and fried cheese (with the dark brown dipping sauce) we great starters. The butter chicken was also absolutely perfect. Legitimately some of the best I have had - certainly in El Paso. Everyone I was with felt the same about their meals. Decor is totally random and there are a few cables in pillars but that is sort of how all family owned and operated authentic places are. We will be back for sure. Well I'm from A small town in Arkansas and have never really had Indian food. I was in El Paso visiting my son and his wife and he suggested this place. Due to the pandemic there was minimal staff, however the wait time was not what I would call overly long. The food was delicious. I got way more that I bargained for and the table service was not lacking even with the short handed restaurant. I had the lamb tikka Marsala and would have it again. read more

Horrific. Open only 1 week and this buffet is absolutely cringe worthy. Chicken entrees were bland and tasteless. Stale iced tea. Naan bread tasted like it was days old and the curries were devoid of spice or any flavor. The restaurant atmosphere was hot, unhygienic, and filled with flies. I can not say enough good things about India Hut! I was running late to pick up one night; they were kind and stayed late to ensure I got my food. The staff are doing things right, from service to flavor! Their Biryani and Chicken Tikka Masala are a must-try! Keep doing what you guys are doing! India Hut appreciated it! read more
