First time at Dave's Hot Chicken. I ordered the Chicken Sandwich and w/fries and drink $14. Chicken Sandwich 4 out of 5. The "hot" spice didn't disappoint. Good flavor and got my nose running. Add the coleslaw and pickles to the sandwich, you will need it when you run out of chicken to go with the bread. Fries 4 out of 5. Seasoned well and crispy. I ordered a side of cheese sauce in case, but it wasn't necessary. The cheese sauce was meh. The fries alone were delicious. Side of pickles were outstanding! Restaurant was clean, but small. If you like to eat outside it's perfect unless you live in a desert. Oh ya El Paso is a desert! There are only 2 tables inside. Over 12 metal tables outside and no shade. Krystal my server (order taker) was outstanding, her customer service A++. Manager/Supervisor F- instead of just standing there over Krystal's shoulder you could have greeted or even helped in the back to expedite orders (15+ mins) with only one person in front of me. There were at least 7 other people waiting after I got there just standing around waiting for their order. For that I could only give 3 star. If you are pressed for time, definitely order ahead at least 15mins. We all got medium heat sliders with cheese fries. I got a tender with the Reaper spice. They make you sign a waiver. I'm no rookie to heat, I love my spice and eating reapers or scorpion peppers, but this was like the devil violated my mouth. I think it's a mix of the peper powder and capsaicin extract. Almost ruined my day. There was a decent line when we arrived, but it moved fast, and service was good. It's small inside and only offered two tables and a bar like table. Very delicious chicken!! I was excited to see how their chicken spicyness had 7 levels and their hottest level called Reaper requires customers to sign a waiver when they order it. That's some serious stuff. The lady supervising the line at the door entrance claimed the Very Hot level which is one below Reaper burned her tongue. As one would expect with any grand opening, a line was out the door over this hyped up chicken. After waiting 2.5 hours, finally got an order of one tender and one slider with an additional side of mac and cheese. I would say the wait was not worth the food but it was all excellent for any other given day once the crowd starts clearing up more. The mac and cheese was delicious as well. Rear was ready in 20 minutes and headed straight the pick up counter where it was waiting for me. The dining room seemed a lil tight so I took it home. They were delish! The server needs to slow down her pace of speech. She rattled off the condiments like a computer. The customer service was fine, the cashier was very sweet and polite. The place was covered in cool art that had the feel for Texas and El Paso. The ambience was youthful and summer vibes like. We tried the nuggets, sliders and classic strips. The nuggets were AMAZING. Flavorful, juicy and perfect in every bite. Honestly the highlight of the experience. The strips were the disappointment, they were really dry and lacked flavor and just packed spice. The sliders were no different, the bread was stale and tasted it had been sitting outside for a while. the food was pretty good. is it amazing? no. it's not something i would crave or want everyday. i got the lite milk chicken sandwich with fries. i did not like how the lite mild chicken tasted like there was taco seasoning on it. i'm that type of person that gets grossed out tasting taco seasoning on anything other than tacos. other than that, the other flavors and everything else was yummy. the chicken was pretty moist and not hard. presentation of the food was pretty cool to. overall, if you don't mind the taco seasoning flavoring, i'd recommend it! read more

Chicken tenders were large, juicy, and flavorful, fries were crispy and nicely seasoned, and even the pickles were fresh and crispy.
