Great first visit to a familiar chicken shack. We dropped by after Noah's game for a snack. At 1100am, this place was just picking up, but it was a nice sports bar setup. There were about four big screen TVs over the bar, and a long bar with chairs towards the front. There were a few Asian beers on tap and all the flavors of jinro so I in the fridge. Natalya T was a very nice server. She greeted and seated us, she took our drink and food order, and check on us often. She actually made my baldok ramen in the self serve ramen machine. I been to this chain in Dallas and Houston and decided to try to out while here in El Paso and it was my friend's first time trying KFC. It was so good. My friend said it was the best chicken he ever had. The server was very nice and helpful. He never had Soju before as well and is a fan of it too. I've gone to a couple different locations out in California so I knew I liked their food, but this specific location is on their A game! Service was awesome. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. She came to check up on us at the right times and was quick to get any requests we had. As for the food, Everything was super fresh! The chicken was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of crunch to the exterior. It was nice and juicy as well. They added the right amount of seasoning and sauce so that it wasn't overpowered. My husband ordered the Cheesling and I got the Honey Garlic. Both of us opted for the boneless options. Medium was the right size for us. For sides we both for the sweet potato fries. I'd definitely say one is enough for two people to share. Our waitress told us it was a one person serving but my husband and I could have done with one order in all honesty. I left a tip and still did not receive what I paid for, only noticed when I arrived home (missing cheese fries). Admittedly, that's an issue here: people hate doing what they are paid for. Stay classy, El Paso. The chicken wasn't white meat; I don't think I've ever had dark meat boneless wings... Good amount of seating, with large bar seating as well and outdoor seating. The food: very good food. Portions are very good size. They do have boneless which are not tiny nugget size bites like other wing places and regular wings. These are large pieces of chicken. Medium order comes with 9 pieces and large comes with 18! Large is the only one you can divide the flavors in 2. I tried the secret sauce which is a very light spice to it, ok for kids but good. Also tried Honey garlic which zero spice but good flavor. I also tried the appetizer Ddeok-bokki which I had never tried before. Pretty good. Reminded me of thick pasta noodles in enchilada sauce. Also ordered sweet potato fries- the best I've tried. Update: Second visit a couple of weeks later, and they left out one of our side dishes. We had called the order in an hour earlier. We come from out of town, so we did not go back for it. I'd seen the radish side containers and thought that included the side we had ordered. Once home, we saw that the side was missing. That's $2.00+ of an already $90+ meal (gas mileage). The chicken is pretty good. The sauces are pretty good. Just wish they had some noodles or something, not just chicken. Some of the sides that we had were ok. The place was very clean and hardly anyone there, which was nice. Large eating area. We had two waitresses sort of working our table. One was very dismissive, and the other was more attentive. For large size is double the number of wings. The wings took about 30 mins for prep but they were freshly cooked. The soy garlic wings were delicious; they reminded me of home-made Korean wings prepped by a close friend. The soy garlic wings were my favorite of all the ones we tried. They had a savory and gentle sweet/spicy kick which elevated the flavor. I would highly recommend everyone to give them a try. The original golden chicken wings were decent, with a not-so strong flavor profile to it. The spicy half is spicy enough and has a good spicy, tangy flavor to it. We got the honey garlic wings and we've tried many locations of bb.q; Austin, Dallas, San Diego and even South Korea(husband) and honestly the flavor of the honey garlic wings in this location is the best we've had. The breading is also not as thick as the San Diego Location but it's still Crunchy! Have you ever had honey butter chips? We'll that's how the maple glaze tasted like.
