Great food and service. The place is a little small but they managed to find us a table on a Friday night. I'll comeback again for sure.

I highly recommend Indaco! Every time I eat here, I leave saying it's the best meal I have had in Charlotte. The service is top notch too. We love to sit in Kevin's section. He makes the best recommendations and pairings! read more

Made reservations a week in advance for the Queen's Feast through Open Table. Could only get 2:45 in the afternoon. The restaurant called the Sat. before and said they had to cancel our reservation because of the weather. Told them it was for next Saturday. OK..it was reinstated. We were never told that Restaurant Week menu only applied to evening reservations even though we mentioned this on the phone. We arrived to learn this and spoke with the manager....absolutely no help...sort of a "couldn't care less" attitude. We stayed anyway but had to order from the brunch menu which was not what we intended. Food was good. Management was poor. We were seated at the front and had to wear our coats as the door was always opening and closing. Our friends made the experience good not the restaurant. Would not return with so many other fine restaurants around. read more

Stopped here while visiting Charlotte for a weekend. I ordered the Bucatini and it was a strong 4.5/5. Really yummy and the noodles were homemade for sure. My boyfriend ordered the eggplant pizza and it was good, but nothing super special (he rated 3/5). Would definitely recommend ordering pasta rather than pizza. read more

This place is amazing. Came in for my wife's 30th birthday and Michael treated my wife like it mattered. You normally don't get great service in todays world but he was above in beyond. His recommendation of pasta and pizza along with the salad had us craving more. It was by far the best pasta pizza combination we have come across in our travels to Charlotte. Was a great experience and a great night. Thank you all so much. read more

Do not come here if you want to have an enjoyable time. A few friends and I came happily to Indaco to grab food and drinks after spending some time at the pool. Unfortunately, our enjoyment did not last long. As soon as we were seated, the waiter who did not appear friendly came by to let us know they had a limited menu that could be viewed from our phones, and said he would be back to take our order. No instructions on where we could access this menu, or what the limited menu consisted of. We obviously figured it out by the time the waiter came back, and put in an order for a pizza to share but didn't feel the "service" was there. We still weren't sure about our drinks so we asked the waiter to give us a few mins. Once back, we began to place our order for drinks. While placing our order for drinks, as a cheerful and happy group we began cheerfully joking amongst each other and tried to do a little bit of small talk with the waiter on the drinking options. One of our friends has a heavy accent when speaking and has a funny way of communicating/expressing himself due to the language barrier. The waiter didn't seem to like our friend, and let us know that he would not be able to serve our friend a drink. We asked why, and he simply stated that he did not feel comfortable serving our friend. We went from laughing (having a good time) to being confused and shocked at the waiter not wanting to serve our friend. Not only were we not impressed at the service... now we felt we were being unfairly treated. We asked to speak to the manager as we couldn't understand why our friend was being denied a drink. The Manager came back to let us know that the waiter did not feel comfortable serving our friend a drink because he had mentioned he had been drinking to him, which was a lie. Our friend never mentioned this to the waiter. At this point we felt we were being directly mistreated, and misrepresented. Our friend understandably at hearing this lie, became upset. We ended up leaving not even able to enjoy the pizza that we had ordered and instead took it to go. Our day had turned from happy and amazing to sour, targeted and mistreated. Please save yourself grief, and enjoy the many other restaurants Charlotte has to offer (there's plenty!) where you are treated fairly even if you have an accent. Nothing special here.... not their food, and not their customer service. read more

I was very excited to try it out. The past was great and fresh and looked hand made. But I don't think it was worth the price point. I added chicken to my meal and it was the most over cooked and charred piece of meat I've had in forever. The service was great and our server Rachel was very friendly. The restaurant was very cute and nice, warm and welcoming. Still for the food itself I could live without it. My friend who ordered something different felt the same way. read more

I've always loved the ambience and food here. Michael was especially catering to us and was very helpful with all of our requests. Out of the five times I've been here, this has definitely been my best experience. read more

Food was delicious, wait staff was friendly and gave great recommendations. However the ambience sold us. Small, great vibe, romantic. They were out of quite a few beers. read more

Wow wow wow!! If you are looking for a delicious Italian dinner , please try out this restaurant! Everything we had was fresh and absolutely delicious. We started with the brussel sprouts and they were beautifully presented, hot, and seasoned perfectly. Next up entrees - I had the bucanti. Pasta tasted so fresh and seafood was cooked to perfection. Ended with the tiramisu and I can't stop thinking of it to this day! Seriously amazing food. Our server was also very friendly and made the experience all the better! read more

The environment of this restaurant is amazing. Natural light exposure is beautiful and seating is luxe and comfortable. The staff is all very nice and the true star is Max. You will find him quietly behind the bar, mixing up dream concoctions that are tailored just right! I find myself coming back to this place often just to see what his new inspiration cocktail menu has been. I don't want anyone else mixing my drinks but him! Truth- I do not know this bartender personally but I truly think that if you want a great cocktail, he is your best chance at getting it right in the entire city of Charlotte. Indaco's pizza is beautiful. The entree's are hit or miss for my personal taste level, but always done with class and quality. I do wish they would bring back the actual squid ink for their 'nero' pasta which has been without that key ingredient for about 9 months now. Their pork is great; the duck confit cannelloni's are presented a bit too acidic for a dish I am used to being creamy. Again-- my taste--it is still quality regardless. Overall 5 Stars and we keep coming back again and again. read more

Indaco is such a GREAT date night spot. Wonderful ambiance, great food, phenomenal people. You can taste the full flavors in the fresh handmade pasta and the brick oven pizza. From most seats in the restaurant you can also see into the kitchen and watch your food be made -- wonderful. 10/10 will for sure be back! read more

We came out to Indaco for my birthday dinner in June. The experience was a touch odd start to finish but I blame that on restaurants stumbling through operating during COVID. We had our temperatures taken upon entering by the host, used a QR code to read the menu on our phones and saw employees wearing masks throughout. The restaurant is very pretty and I imagine would have a pleasant atmosphere when full in the evening. Our waiter was very dry and service was very straight forward with very little enthusiasm. We left laughing about how disingenuous the service was. It was like he was saying all the right things without the right tone? On to the food, we ordered the meatballs as an app. They come in a dish filled with tomato based sauce. I could have used a couple squares of focaccia here but it's on the menu separately to ramp up that bill. Pass on the meatballs, they could be more tender. I tried the corn and tomato agnolotti which tasted like summer on a plate; I would recommend this dish if it's on the menu. My husband ordered the steak and fingerling potatoes which was also good. For dessert we ordered the chocolate budino which was riiiiiiich. I could only eat half of it before I tapped out. The grapefruit cocktail deserves a mention for being refreshing and pretty. Love the idea to use a piece of dry pasta as a straw. It seems like Indaco was the place to be from previous reviews; hopefully they can get back there post-COVID. read more

Last weekend was our second trip to Indaco because the first time eating here was spectacular. Once again they did not disappoint and affirmed our decision that this place deserves 5 stars. We started the night with Focaccia which came with a tomato bacon jam for dipping and wow it was full of flavor. For our main courses, I had Spaghetti Nero while my girlfriend had the ravioli that was an off-menu item for the night. Both of these meals were cooked to perfection and worth the price. To end the night, we ordered tiramisu. While many restaurants have this, it tends to be cake-y and heavy. Indaco's tiramisu was light and airy while having that classic taste nailed down. After 2 amazing experiences here, we will definitely be returning in the future. read more

Food is amazing and staff are the best. If you like pastas and pizza, you really can't go wrong. I have not been Disappointed by any of their dishes. Must try an espresso martini! read more

What a disappointing experience. We came from out of town and showed up for our 8:30 reservation on time and went to talk to the hostess. There was an open table outside but the hostess refused to sit us at the table and asked to leave the restaurant. She was extremely rude and refused to escalate the situation to her manager. I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

Food and service were fantastic. Brought my wife and two adult children and they all lived it. So happy you are back open.

I absolutely LOVED indaco, I've always come with friends and have had an amazing experience with great food. We went to celebrate my birthday with a larger group, so we were required to have the chef tasting which we were excited for! However, it was absolutely disappointing. You don't have any say in what you get and the food that's brought out is not what you expect for a quality restaurant. Our courses included: Snow peas with goat cheese - to start which isn't the best start on your taste buds when you're having cocktails. Focaccia, octopus (super overcooked), a salad for our GF friend, two pastas both subpar considering I've had great pasta from the menu, ravioli extremely undercooked, pizzas, and then chicken on the bone. So lots of food for the price but not quality food. The fact that they brought out chicken on the bone for a large group at an Italian restaurant was just soooo disappointing. Every person in our group was disappointed (all have been before and had great experiences). However, the drinks were amazing and everyone had about 2-3 drinks each to compensate for lack of good meal. Service was subpar, but nothing to complain about just not the best service like every other time I've been. Timing of food between courses was extremely long, so we were literally exhausted by the time we left because we were there for such a long time. Hopefully this helps someone looking to come with a large group. Otherwise, highly recommend if ordering off the regular menu and wanting to come enjoy delicious cocktails. read more

Incaco is in the newly opened Anderton Mills complex in South End. I have had fair to poor experiences with Italian in Charlotte, so my expectations were not that high coming in. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product here. I got the Squid Ink pasta which included shrimp and came in a saffron tomato-based sauce. The pasta was clearly made the right way, fresh and in house, did not taste mass produced as the "fresh" pasta at North Italia. The sauce was the star of the show here, done right bursting with flavors that lingered even after you were done eating (in a good way). The shrimp was a nice touch, I felt like the dish was screaming for additional seafood though. Not that the portion of shrimp was small but the addition of clams, calamari etc. would have elevated the dish to another level. It was also a bit odd that a seafood dish included cheese, typically seafood pasta dishes are a no-go zone for cheese. Overall this will be my go-to Italian restaurant in Charlotte going forward, looking forward to returning any trying other items on the menu. read more

Popped in on a whim to try out the new spot. Good grief this area has changed so much. Was able to snag a parking spot right out front but there is also a parking garage behind. Super busy with folks waiting at the door and I overhead the manager asking everyone if they had a reservation. Make a reservation unless you get there early or don't mind waiting. I was hoping to grab a spot at the bar, but it too was full. While waiting, another manager stopped by to say hello and introduce herself (name forgotten) and make sure I was being taken care of. After about 10 minutes, she cane back and let me know there was one seat at a high top area near the bar. Score! She explained the menu and my server greeted me soon. I ordered a glass of Barbera and it was really nice. Reasonably priced too at $11. I perused the menu, and decided to order the arugula salad and the Bucatini. The server was accommodating enough to offer me half salad. And I must say the ricotta paired with the arugula and pistachios was delightful. The pickled shallots were just the right touch of acidity. It was a nice sized portion so I could also order a pasta dish. The Bucatini, Cacio de Pepe, could've used a bit more pepper but overall was pretty good. I would've loved to have tried a pizza as the ones I saw around me it looked really good. Can't wait to go back and potentially sit at the food bar near the pizza station. I would definitely return, and hats off to the restaurant crew for providing exceptional service on what was obviously a very busy night. read more

Went for our anniversary! Our server was Michael and he brought us champagne and an appetizer - so so thoughtful!!! Amazing food atmosphere and service. We got spaghetti Nero and the spicy pepperoni pizza with arugula. Will be back!!! read more

I really, really wanted to like this place. The service was wonderful. We did the chef's tasting (great bang for your buck) but the food was just eh. The appetizers were good (fried artichoke and burrata), but the pastas, pizza, and entree were less than to be desired. I even threw away the pizza leftovers (we each only ate one slice) rather than giving them away because it was so bad. Honestly, I think they may have put the clam sauce on the prosciutto pizza- something was WAY off on that one. read more

Indaco is the type of restaurant that needs at least a second visit because of its yummy menu. This is Italian food at it's best, it's fresh and authentic. Located in Southend the restaurant is bright, open and airy with outside seating available too. The L-shaped bar seats at least ten people and behind the bar are three floor to ceiling windows. The menu is at a first glance simple; antipasti, pizza and pasta. There are 5 pasta dishes and as you read the description you realize you need to come back, because you want all 5. I can recommend the tagliatelle and the black pepper fettuccine. Two very different dishes but both amazing, rich and unique. For a starter Indaco has the best fried artichoke dish I've ever had. The wine list won't disappoint either and if you kick off with a cocktail the house Mule (on tap) is perfect for a warm summer evening. We were looked after by Chris on our first visit and his service only made our visit better. What a great place. read more

Service was horrendous. Pizza was burnt. And lack of structure among staffing was apparent. We ate here when it first opened and had lovely staff and great quality food, what happened? read more

Had a wonderful experience despite having to wait a good while due to rain and some parties who were camped out at their table. The manager, wait staff and hostess were extremely hospitable and got us seated as soon as a table was ready. The food was exceptional. We had the fried artichokes (amazing), and the fettuccine. All around wonderful service and food with an ambiance that is perfectly executed. Thank you to the staff at Indaco for the great dinner for our Girls Night Out! We will be back for more artichokes and pasta! read more

We booked a table for 6.45pm tonight. When my wife and I arrived, we were told they were preparing a table for us. Several more parties arrived and were told that they were short staffed. We stood waiting for 15 minutes with no updates and weren't even directed to the bar. When I asked for an update the girl at the front just said they were still preparing tables. Weirdly there were quite a few empty tables but we were still kept waiting with no updates. Eventually my wife and I told the host we were canceling our reservation and left-we were so disappointed as we had heard good things about the food. read more

We had dinner last night to celebrate my daughters last night in Charlotte!! We had the most amazing experience! From meeting our awesome waiter Miles, enjoying the Artichoke appetizer, eating the best pasta & Flat iron steak, then being surprised with one of the best tiramisu's we've ever had. Indaco has some of the best food I've ever had. What I loved even more was the caring thoughtful staff. There was such team work and such a fun environment!! THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR EVENING A WONDERFUL MEMORY!! We will always visit when we're in town!! read more

NOT the Charleston restaurant. Overpriced, absurdly small portions; I hear this consistently from a wide variety of friends who know food. The food cost for cacio e pepe is very low; I got a knot of pasta smaller than a baseball for $12. We had a good chuckle and left hungry. And--hey folks--Charlotte's a bad city for attitude/aloofness at the host station: locals won't return. It would serve the industry well to note that around 40 "upscale" restaurants opened in metro Charlotte last year. read more

Visit this place as part of restaurant week , I was very very disappointed with the food , meatballs where very salty had to return them and then They had no more swordfish waiter recommend mahi mahi it was bad ! This was our first restaurant to sit down and have dinner as Charlotte's newest residents. We did not have a reservation but we were seated rather promptly regardless. Our waiter, Michael, was simply amazing. We told him we had just moved to town and asked for his recommendations on what to order. We ordered a Roasted Mushroom Pizza and Michael took it upon himself to bring over a Focaccia that he thought we'd enjoy. Then the GM, Brian, brought us the Burrata which was fabulous. We were treated so well and the food was fantastic!! This restaurant has great ambiance and impeccable service, we have a new favorite!! Thank you all for a great experience. read more

We came to try out the restaurant week special but were extremely disappointed. It took an hour to get out first portion and then for the main course my friends chicken was raw and the spaghetti was extremely underwhelming and wasn't very good. My friend and I had majority of our food left and asked for it be boxed but there was a misunderstanding with the kitchen and they ended up throwing away our food and having to remake it but only ended up splitting the same item and leaving ingredients off. Server was nice but it took 2 hours to get the 3 courses and as we were finishing up they shut the lights off. Will not be back. read more

Absolutely love! We visited a few week ago, but finally getting around to writing the review! Everything from the service to the food was amazing! Our server Max made great recommendations and suggested a great wine to pair with our meal. We started with the focaccia appetizer and the fried artichokes and we ate the entire dishes. I then had the scarpinocc and my boyfriend had the daily special as always! Everything was super tasty and service was on point from start to finish! read more

Stopped in last min on Saturday night. Was expecting to have to wait since we didn't have reservations. Luckily, my friend and I snagged a bar spot right away, in front of the pizza oven. We had amazing service, shared a bottle of wine, charcuterie board and margarita pizza. It was all delicious. Menu is limited but enough options to surely find something you like. I will be back. read more

More than terrible service, the waiter knew nothing about the family style offering for over $50 per person. He told us one thing, then when we went to order, it was something totally different. Appetizers (burrata) served without serving utensils, we asked for a bread knife for the focaccia which was a hunk of dry bread, not focaccia. We were not going to pull at a hunk of stale bread to share. Entrees were already cold, and by the time the server ( not even our designated server) came back with the Parmesan cheese that was requested, the small amount of already cold pasta was finished. Don't waste your time or money. Epic failure. read more
