Incycle in Pasadena took such incredible care of me. They stayed open 45 minutes later to make sure I went home with my bike. They were incredibly patient and spent hours working passed the little things. Like suspension tuning, removing tubes, and adjusting everything. Thank you Brian and the rest of the crew. Incycle Pasadena has been my new go to LBS! I purchased a new Cannondale Synapse here months ago, and as I was searching for my first road bike, the friendly staff was happy to assist me and answer the many questions I had. They even discounted the bike further as it was the previous year's model, so the price was unbeatable! I am relatively new to cycling and got into riding for exercise as I am a heavy guy. Unlike a lot of other shops I've visited in the past, Incycle's wonderful staff has never made me feel insecure or try to show off to me. They have been honest, helpful, and very encouraging to me by giving me great advice as I further advance with riding. I have been a repeat customer and every time I've come into the shop, the experience has always been fantastic! I've had the bike in for small adjustments, and this past weekend I noticed the bike was shifting a little off and making a creaking sound. I brought it into the shop, and was immediately greeted and helped. The service mechanic found that the chain ring was slightly bent, straightened it and also adjusted my rear derailer to further smooth out the shifting of the chain. While on the stand he was kind enough to offer to fix one of my shimano spd pedals, I had actually purchased from Amazon, which recently ceased up a bit for free! He took apart the pedal, cleaned and adjusted the bearings, and reassembled the pedal back to new condition. He test road the bike, made one more small adjustment, and then asked me to test out the bike. To my pleasure, the bike shifted like new again and he did not want to charge me, to which I insisted I pay for his hard work. He only then charged me $15 for adjusting the chain ring. They are a bit more expensive on accessories and upgrades, but have a huge selection of everything you could possibly need. I'm hoping to get down to a size to where I can fit into a smaller size of cycling clothing and be able to purchase one of their bib kits to further help advertise their shop. However, the only issue with this location is the very small parking lot. Unfortunately, being in a great location is also a curse, as street parking in Pasadena is not free and it can be hard getting into the parking lot. My advice is to arrive a little bit before the shop opens, if you can. All in all, I am so happy I found this shop!! I'm sorry to see that some reviewers have had a bad experience here. A full-service tune from these guys: $200. A re-calibration from another shop when the gears started skipping 2 months later: $50. A new crank set when the crank shaft literally fell off the bike 6 months later because they failed to tighten it, stripping the threads and rendering it useless: $150. Time spent trying (without success) to get them to replace the crank shaft they stripped: longer than I care to remember. Finding a different bike shop where the people know what they're doing and stand by their work: priceless. Avoid at all costs, unless you enjoy throwing money and time down the drain. read more

Brought my commuter bike at 10am for a disc brake tune up and was out the door by 10:10am with my bike riding as if I was on clouds - Thank you so much... Have gone here a few times to rent a demo bike, or have service on my mtn bike. These guys are always super helpful. Last weekend, I brought my mtn bike in to have them put new pedals on. They put pedals on bike, added pins, etc. and tightened up my old pedals (and recommended I use them as pedals for when I travel and rent bikes). When I told them I was going to ride Sky Park the next day, one of their employees, Devon looked over my whole bike quickly and tightened up the linkage on my Bronson (and gave me advice on which trails to ride at Sky Park as well). Devon and the mechanic (who's name I didn't get) there were really helpful. Just wanted to extend a big thanks. read more

I take no pleasure in writing this review, and had debated whether or not I should write it at all. Since 2016, we've easily spent $15k at Incyle, mostly at the Pasadena store. That's for 5 or 6 bikes, 2 custom fits, shoes, clothing, helmets, Thule racks, tires, lights, etc. You name it - if it's cycling-related, we more than likely bought it at Incycle Pasadena. Most of the staff had gone out of their way to be as helpful as possible, which is why it saddens me to write this review. I realize the pandemic has made things difficult for everyone, and I'm trying to look at everything through that lens. Having said that, some of the things that have happened over my last several interactions with Incycle are inexcusable in my view. It started with a general change in staff friendliness earlier this year. All the usual people are still great, but many of the newer hires have been pretty unpleasant and unhelpful. I went in to buy a new saddle in June, but whomever I was working with could not have been less interested in answering questions for me. Exasperated, I asked him to check stock on a specific saddle. It was in stock at their San Dimas store, and I was told it would be transferred over and someone would call me when it arrived. Nobody ever called, and when I called back to check on it, I was told that it had been sold. OK fine, chalk it up to pandemic stress. But it's still a strike. We had a similar experience shortly after that when we went in to buy a new road bike for my son as a graduation gift. The person we dealt with that day was so unhelpful that we ended up buying a new Felt from Velo. Never my first choice - you know something has slipped when you get better service at Velo. Then came the big one. I took my Roubaix in for a tune and some other work in late August. I got the bike back 12 days later. No problem with the delay - I get it. Most of the work had been done satisfactorily, but there was a new distinct chain rub that sounded like it was an issue with the chainring. I brought the bike back and Rico took another look. I was told that there was no issue with the tune, that the bike was operating normally and that there was no problem that they could find. On top of that, I was made to feel like I didn't know what I was talking about and that whatever I was hearing and feeling was in my head (I think the actual term for this is gaslighting). I took the bike back home and rode it several times, all the while knowing something was not right. I rode my son's Felt more than my own Roubaix because it just rode better. A month or so later, I had a chain break. I was able to get the bike to a LBS that's closer to my house. In about 5 minutes, the tech there had a new chain installed, and as he brought it back to me said "Hey, did you know your chainring was out of alignment? I fixed it for you." So in 5 minutes, this shop was able to replace my chain and identify an alignment issue that Incycle swore didn't exist even though I insisted it was real. I felt vindicated, and the bike still rides like new (plus I'm getting a few more watts out of the titanium chain the guy talked me in to!). We gave Incycle one last chance to make it right. My son's Specialized Sirrus was stolen a few nights ago. This bike was purchased at Incycle and I wanted to see if they could give us the serial number for insurance. I was placed on hold for 27 minutes and was then told that someone would get right back to me with an answer. That was three days ago. Not a peep since. I called again today, was placed on hold for 20 more minutes and finally just gave up and decided to write this review. Prior to this year, the staff at Incycle Pasadena always said hello and asked me how my [insert most recent purchase here] was working out. Kevin did our custom fits and is still awesome, as are a few of the older staff members. This shop used to be one of my favorite places to visit, but I'm sorry to say that those days are probably over. read more

Going into a LBS (Local Bike Store) can be an intimidating experience for a first timer, especially those used to buying their bikes at Sears, Costco, or Wal-Mart. Seeing the price of a bicycle jump, literally 5 to 10-fold can be shock, standing there, looking at that $3000 full-suspension mountain bike and wondering what the hell the difference between it and the $350 "full-suspension mountain bike" they just say at Walmart, is. Compound this with the virtual toss-up you get with the average LBS employee - are the going to elitist, trying to sell you something you don't need, are they going to pay attention to you? Who knows - it's enough to make a person downright defensive before entering the shop. Working at a bike shop is probably as hard as working at GameStop. Pasadena has a lot of LBSs - Incycle, Pasadena Cyclery, Velo, Jones II down on Huntington, among others, and sadly I have found my experience at Incycle to routine dissatisfying. Let's start with the good, it's a good store, with generally good selection of just about everything you, and any kind of bike you need, from a feather-weight road machine to a downhill mountain biking tank. They also have plenty of parts and accessories, anything you'd want really, at pretty typical LBS prices. As far as brands, well, the Pasadena store, doesn't really carry what I would term "boutique" brands on bikes, Specialized, Cannondale, Obrea, etc, are all excellent brands that I don't think you can really go wrong with. Overall, it's a nice store that I don't mind going to and browsing around. Here is the problem though, save for one time, every time I have gone into this store to get bike service (I own a Specialized mountain bike) or purchased, the service has been lackluster to annoying. Getting someone to actually help you find something or suggest something is next to impossible, mostly I just get a disinterested "oh, I don't think we have that...", with the guy just sort of walking away. That's actually pretty minor to me, though, the most aggregating thing about Incycle is the service department. I have never gotten satisfactory service on my bicycle. I've take my bike in for service, that have essentially nothing done, OR when it has been done, it seems to have been done poorly or improperly Ok, selecting an LBS is a personal thing, Incycle is not for me and for my money, and I would try one of the LBSs around Pasadena. read more

PROS: They have a lot of stock CONS: Employees are a bunch of young cocky little shits! It takes a lot for me to say that! They are also on the expensive side as compared to other stores in the area. I am the ideal consumer for this place! I WILL SPEND A LOT OF MONEY on things I don't even need while waiting for my bf while he's chit-chatting with the one guy he says is nice. I don't know why my bf goes there. We are major bike supporters/enthusiasts; we introduce a lot of people to the sport and bring them in to the stores to buy stuff. We go to ALL of the bike stores in the area and know all the owners/workers, but I just don't like going here because of their attitude EVERY TIME WE GO THERE. We've met the owner a couple of times and he's nice, but the employees? Meh I guess we're not their ideal looking customers. That's what I'm guessing is the problem. Too bad for them. Pros and Cons. The Pros: All bike brands you could imagine (Cervelo, Quintana Roo, Specialized,Orbea ...), with occasional sales. They send you a $10 gift certificate on your birthday. Once in awhile they have striking deals like $600 for HED 3 Carbon Tri Spoke Wheels. The Cons: Unless your a 40yr old executive, looking to drop 12 grand on your next bike they don't care much about you. The Rub: I purchased a 'complete bike', an Orbea Onix. They charged me for the msrp of $2600. Here's the rub: They actually purchased only the frame and built up the bike to be similar to the complete bike in the catalog. All of this without telling me. By similar I mean they cheated me out on the wheels. Instead of a Mavic Kysirium Wheel set I was expecting, they tried to give me some Easton things. I checked the pricing difference and the eastons sell for ~$200 less at least. Plus the Mavics are much lighter. So I paid for a bike out of the catalog, but they short changed me on some parts. When I asked them, they said thats all they had. Desperately wanting to ride my new bike I capitulated and let it go. Thinking back though, I still feel shiested. read more

InCycle has a fantastic variety of products and accessories. The building is also quite inviting. However, once I encountered the sales staff the overall experience turned sour. The first time I visited the store I was helped by a kind sales girl who was incredibly helpful. She showed me a variety of helmets at various price points. After we settled on a style she said that the store would have to order it from Specialized because they didn't have it in stock. She said it would arrive in a week. A week passed and I eagerly return to the store. On this occasion the kind sales girl was no where to be found, so naturally I turned to another sales person. This guy was hesitant to help me, and he appeared annoyed that he had to step away from a conversation with a co-worker. I told him i was picking up my helmet and gave him my receipt. He told me to wait 10 minutes because he needed to check on a computer. He implied that there was only one computer that was capable of this task and since someone else was using it, I would need to wait. I found a comfy couch near the front of the store to relax upon. After 20 minutes elapsed I figured that enough time had passed and so I stood up to check up on the sales clerk. He had returned to the front of the store where I had initially approached him, unsurprisingly he was chatting with his friends. I asked him if he had located my helmet. He said that it would take another week to arrive and that someone would call me once it was in the store. I was incredibly confused, and for two reasons in particular. 1) I was promised that the helmet would arrive in one week. 2) It didn't seem that he even attempted to locate me when he retrieved this information. I understand that logistics can be tricky so I saw no point in taking the conversation any further. If the helmet is not at the store, what can anyone do? Furthermore, the sales guy seemed to have little agency so a request for some type of compensation seemed futile. I thanked him for his help and returned home. About an hour later I received a phone call from the store. The staffer told me that my helmet had arrived! I was pleased with the information and returned to pick up my helmet. In hindsight, it seemed as though the initial staffer that "helped" me didn't even attempt to track or locate my helmet. I'm not one to assume, but in light of the way he handled my earlier visit, it would not surprise me. Even in light of these incidents I returned to the shop on a few other occasions for miscellaneous cycling needs. Each time I had returned there was a particular group of staffers, which included the unhelpful sales guy, who glare and act inhospitable toward me. From these incidents I feel that their clique acts cavalier toward customers and provide help as though it were a painful drudgery. Don't get me wrong, there are other staffers that I noticed to be incredibly helpful. Unfortunately the negativity conveyed by the rude ones are enough to keep me as far away from that place as possible. I'm not saying don't shop there, i'm just saying be wary of whom you seek help from. If you happen to work with one of the staffers in the clique, don't take their rudeness personally, just seek another friendlier employee. Who knows, i may have happened to visit the store when they were all having bum days. read more

0 stars if I could Called Incycle to get a special order frame part for my 2009 specialized SX Trail (being specific so they know who I am). Took them three days to contact me back to give me a price quote for the part. Drove down there the day I got the quote, and left a $50 deposit. Today I pick up the part and they tell me that it is $50 dollars more, because the person quoting me made a mistake. Looks like there were two people here that made mistakes, The guy who gave me the quote, and me for giving them my business. Buyer beware, this is a good shop to look at things but it is overpriced, have arrogant workers, and are just not very helpful. Plenty of other shops around that deserve your business far more than incycle. Even Performance bike is more helpful that incycle (GASP!) read more

This place is ACTION-packed on a weeknight!!... Welcoming, too. First time here and look forward to returning. Sits just below Old Town Pasadena's Colorado Blvd. Maybe because it's the holiday week...busy is great though :) I stopped by here yesterday and really impressed with the expert professionalism from each of the three staff that I needed to talk to. I may have only spoken to three but there must have been at least ten... Maybe more???... All on the floor working away. Store is bright, clean and really organized. I can't recall ever being in a shop with this many employees visible and despite that each were busy with a customer, I was quickly acknowledged and assisted within moments. Super impressed!!! Easy to find location on the corner and a small private parking lot is available, but anticipate having to park on the street with meters. I could see this location as an easy biking destination if you ride around this area. There is a cool park across the street too, off Fair Oaks. Making a note to revisit their camelbak water bags because they had a really large selection. Of course I'm doing more gift-buying homework for my avid cyclist friends and family. Serious shopping fun!!! Their baby onesies with shop logos tell you how serious the "InCycle family" are when even their babies are sporting the shop logos, right? Shop camaraderie is really cool here and everyone looks happy to be there, customers included. Their fun and expert vibe seems to be consistent based on the other locations I've experienced. I really find the cycling community to be the best :) I love getting more of my friends into this sport with their kids. Beautiful shop and a definite gift-buying destination to note this season. read more

About 6 months ago, I acquired a mountain bike for free via a friend of my brother. The bike isn't the top of the line or the latest thing out there, but it would fit the bill of getting me to exercise more. Another friend of his took a look at the bike, inspecting it and saying that I needed to replace the tubes in the tires and that he would show me how. Well that never happened. Days, weeks, and months went by of me saying "oh, I'll do it later" or "oh, I'll go tomorrow". Kayla V. reviewed this place and I decided to bookmark this, saying to myself that I would go soon. That was back in August. Well today was a different day. I actually grabbed lunch in the neighborhood and decided to finally come here. The store is pretty simple. Racks upon racks of bikes and stuff. They look like they have EVERYTHING a beginner or novice biker like me or hardcore riders like... I dunno who, could ever want or dream of. I was in search of tubes, but I also needed that little tool that get the tires off the rims. I don't know what it's called. I also figured I should get a helmet, not for safety, but so I don't get pulled over if a cop sees me riding without one. I also decided to get flashing front and rear lights so I could do night riding like The Hoff. I was greeted immediately upon entering the store by an employee despite him obviously being pre-occupied talking someone else as I was the only customer in the store. I made my way back towards the tires and the tubes, and almost immediately another employee (from the safety of behind the counter instead of in my face) asked me if I needed anything. I told him I was looking for 26" x 1.5" tubes. He immediately went back into the stock room and asked me if it was one thing or the other valve. I told him I didn't know and he said "is it the skinny one or the one that looks like on a car?" "Skinny one" I told him but also told him I preferred the car tire one. He said since my bike already had the skinny one, the tire one may not fit through the valve hole in the bike rim. I asked how would I be able to inflate it and he said they had adapters. He was really nice and patient with my obvious lack of knowledge. He rang me up without a problem and I was on my merry way. It's a little farther away than a couple of other bike shops I know off the top of my head, but it's still close enough that if I have any bicycle needs, Incycle will be there for me. read more

I had a problem with a old Cannondale Jekyll. I just wanted them to call Cannondale to see if the part was available at all. They wanted me to bring in the bike and receipt before they would do anything.I told them that I bought the bike 12 years ago. Therefore he couldn't do anything about it. The sales person Tyler could not even bother and call the manufacture and and ask them a simple question. This is why people who actually ride and know their bike stuff don't visit bike shops. Horrible customer service. I have purchased 5 bikes for my kids in Pasadena location since 2016. Unless you are a young athlete who is going to spend a lot of money on a bike, do not go to Incylce Pasadena. You wont get any quality customer service. I purchased a bike yesterday for my 7 year old. Nobody hepled me. They 4 guys employees twiddling their thumbs behind register, did not even bother to even walk over and ask any questions. I had to ask the clerk to help size the bike. There were no other customers in the store. I returned the bike today because another service issue came up so I called them. The person who answered the phone hung up on me because I complained about the lack of customer service I am a Dad who just goes there to buy kids bikes and they treat me very poorly. I ordered a Cervelo P2 Ultegra online which was on sale. Later in the day I call to see when I could pick up the bike and they say Feb 15th. I get a call a few hours later stating that they do not have the bike and cannot find it and ask if I want the 56cm. For a bike shop to offer a size up for a race bike is a little troubling. I ask if there is anything else they can do, perhaps discount another bike in the same size, and they say "No, sorry that's the gamble you take with sale bikes.." I understand that but the website should not have had the bike available for purchase if none were in stock. The customer service rep did not help with anything other than saying, can you pick a different bike? I ask for another bike and then ask if they could do anything (discount) since it was their system at fault, and the rep says, our website is a listing of products and doesn't keep inventory, there is nothing wrong with the system. With that said, the incycle website stored my credit card information for a bike that did not exist in their inventory. After that was said, I said I no longer want to purchase a bike from your company and I would rather not do business with this particular place. Buyer beware.. This company stores your credit card info on the website regardless if they have the product in stock or not.. The online system does not integrate with the inventory system so items are not removed as they sell out but your credit card info is kept. I'd say only do business with this company if you are physically there, but the way I was treated. I would not walk in that door. read more

The manager there could care less and I just get this feeling of, you're just another person who walked in the door. i spent over $1200 on a single purchase and they still wouldn't even give me the time of day. I was impressed with their inventory and generally there was a good vibe in the store from a service perspective. On the sales side, I found the store to be lacking. I was hoping to buy a new roadbike and told the gentleman (short blonde guy) who helped me what I was looking for. When I asked about pricing he got offended and said "We can't match that price!" When I asked about other comparable bikes on the floor he appeared as though he did not want to help. I had credit card ready and hoping to make a purchase. My beef with them is this. Before i was ready to buy, I want in and had a nice woman salesperson help me. I am female, and was just doing research. She explained to me the difference between mens and womens bike frames, with women's having narrower handlebars, sometimes different saddle design, etc. fast forward a few months, and I'm ready to buy. There was a spring sale, and unfortunately there were no women's bikes on sale, only men's. The salesdude I had basically told me that at my height 5'6" there was no real difference between the mens and women's bikes. I found a Specialized Allez on sale for about $700, took it out for a spin around the blockk. the handlebars felt wide. I told the salesdude, (who was very friendly) that the bike felt big. He insisted it was fine, and told me that many female triathletes like riding with big handlebars b/c it opens up their chest. I wanted to get a bike, and he was eager to close the deal, so he agreed to throw in a smaller size handlebars for no charge when I insisted. Luckily I had the female salesperson who had talked to me before so that I had a clue as to the need for a more narrow handlebar. I only wish she had been there the day I bought, I would have liked for her to have the commission. Fast forward another couple months. I've been training on my bike and the seat is really uncomfortable. Think all your ladyparts squished on block of wood. I took the bike in for a tuneup and complained about my seat and the other salesdude just looked blank and picked up a random seat and said "this one is comfortable." No dialogue about seats geared toward a female anatomy, etc. I didn't want to buy from him because I wasn't confident he was going to give me good advice. I just rode in the Pasadena Marathon and my seat was pure torture. My crotch was numb. i'm going to go to Velo next time. I've been riding bikes and buying bikes since Dodos weren't extinct and shop frequently online and brick and mortar. Incycle has the makings of a great bike shop but lacks this quality due to it's staff and some. The good: Good selection of bikes, it's been awhile since I saw BMX bikes, cruisers, 12K road bikes and Downhill mountain bikes under the same roof. This means they have a wide selection of stuff and will always have a huge amount of clearance items. My Cervelo was sold out in their store but they transferred one from Rancho Cucamonga before lunch and was ready for pick up by noon. The bad: I dropped X amount of dollars and these guys won't even fit me on my bike. (Most LBS who really care about you would take the time to fit you) The one dude (I think he was Spanish or Italian, definitely European because his arrogance was wreaking) was patronizing me due to me not moving to the next version up. Big sales floor but they have only 1/10th of it allocated to clothing merchandise, components and supplies. Some of the staff act like they own 12K bikes bejeweled by $6K wheels and walk like they were sponsored by Saxobank or Sky. If they were that loaded, why the hell are you wiping WD40 gunk off someone's bike? Just like what the other reviewer said, If you don't mind the snobs and have the money to plunk down go for it. If this is your first time buying from a real bike shop versus Kmart or Target, run away and go to Performance on Arroyo Seco instead. read more

This shop has a lot of really good stuff, a little on the pricey end, but that's ok for the selection. In terms of selection and friendliness of the staff, I would give this place a 4 probably (5 for the selection, 3.5 for the staff). However, DON'T RENT BICYCLES HERE. If you bust anything on their 2000+ dollar rental bikes, which, i might add, are not covered by bicycle insurance, you will have to fork out hundreds of dollars for replacement parts. It's just not worth it. That's what happened to me, when I rented a mountain bike. Took it down for a spin on the local trails with some friends, and hit a tiny rock going ~5 miles/hr, cost me $220 bucks to replace SRAM X9 rear derailleur + chain. Add another $40 for the rental for a grand total of 260 dollars for a rental bike. Bottom line, come here to shop, not to rent. It's just not worth it. read more

So I just wanted to leave a review as I didn't physically go in to the store but called before hand.I spoke with a guy named Marcos, I just wanted to give this guy a shout out on how awful his customer service skills are.. I introduced my self and mentioned I had a few questions, he says oh well we are busy right now I can't stay long on the phone to answer a bunch of questions.. lol right so I finish asking my questions because I thought screw maybe this guy is just having a bad day. I was calling about getting a fitment for a saddle I asked to see if they do this and how much is the charge and if he had it in stock he answered my questions but before getting off the phone. I mentioned obviously with everything going on with Covid I'd most likely be waiting outside before getting into the store he then proceed to say yeah that's if we even let you in a sarcastic tone lol wtf Heads up I myself work in customer service being commissioned based, so I too know the frustration of being busy but you should never blow off a potential sale large or small. In this case you answered my questions but with a terrible attitude from start to end. So ask yourself why would I waste my time to wait in line to get into a establishment to purchase a product it sells? Definitely not from your customer service skills.. you just lost a sale which I was highly interested in the services this shop provides but how I was spoken to just over a phone Id rather take my time and money elsewhere. This place has an okay selection of gear, and sometimes you can find good deals on clothing on the sale rack (if you can find your size). The customer service, for the most part, is lacking. The workers seem more like "bros" than knowledgable salesmen. On multiple occasions, by different workers, I've been talked to in a borderline condescending tone. It seems more like they're just trying to be "cool." It almost feels like you have to be "part of the club" to shop there. It's not very welcoming. read more

The only thing that saved them from receiving 1 star is the mere fact that they let me ride the Pinerello Dogma 60.1. I've been to this place many times and spent too much money as they should deserve, and it's just so inconsistent. Marketing school teaches you to acknowledge customers after they've step at least 20 meters into the store to allow them time to be acclimated to their environment. 20minutes into the store and still no acknowledgment is not the way to go. Good selection of cool stuff to check out, but that's it, not sure if i want to give them my money though, when it comes time to buying the Dogma 60.1, they would DEFINITELY not be getting my $10K. It's like eating dry sandpaper, it looks and sounds cool, but it leaves a bad taste in your mouth (please heed caution when attempting to do so). read more

I decided to jump on Yelp and check out the reviews about Incycle in Pasadena. I'm honestly shocked by some of these reviews. Now I cannot speak for other peoples experiences, BUT I would say that this shop has GREAT customer service. I began shopping here a few months back and have been blown away by the "above-and-beyond" mentality this store has. I have, both, worked in customer service AND been involved with many bike shops across the Valley. It is hard to find the care, concern, and passion you find here. My first experience was bringing in a Specialized mountain bike that was 2 years old, purchased somewhere else, that was having some brake problems. Seeing how they are a Specialized dealer, this is why I first came here. Jason, the store manager, was the one to step in a take care of me. Not only did he get the bike fixed, but was able to help warranty my brakes for NICER ones. He could have very easily put on the same ones the bike came with, but he went "above-and-beyond." AND, Jason was excited about this. He didn't know me before this experience. He could've ignored me and treated me like some nobody, but he didn't. And to me, this displayed care, concern, and passion for his customers; even new ones like myself. I live over 23 miles away from this shop, and because of experiences like this is the reason why I will gladly drive by dozens of other shops to give them my business. You can read these few other reviews on Yelp about poor customer service, expensive bikes/items, and how it cost to ship bicycles. Yes, people make mistakes, and believe it or not, things are not free nowadays. But if you give them a shot, I can guarantee you this, you will be pleasantly surprised AND will go back for more. read more

I've been riding for 30+ years and had by FAR the worst experience at Incycle. I brought 2 bikes in for service and had a multitude of issues: 1. The first time I came back in, neither bike was ready in spite of me calling before-hand to check. 2. The second time I came back, they had put the incorrect brake pads on my bike and said they'd keep the bike to go over it again. 3. The third time, I picked up the bikes, BUT the rear brake on one is STILL not tight enough. This is after the manager came over and was very apologetic (and ultimately gave a discount), BUT, I'd much rather have the work done correctly vs an apology and a discount. They seem more interested in appearing they have good customer service than actually being efficient about their repairs. Or perhaps their technicians are just not very capable. To summarize, 3 trips, one month and the primary issue I came in for (brakes on the one bike) not fixed correctly. On the second bike, they kept calling to say things were broken and needed to be replaced. At first I believed them and they made me buy new parts, but now, after seeing all the issues and poor work, I'm wondering if THEY broke these parts and then blamed me just cuz they're not able to handle the Magura brakes. This applied to the brakes and the hub on my ceramic wheels. Also, one of the primary things I wanted to do is swap the wheels between bikes and they said they couldn't do it. I'm not an expert, but I don't believe that's true however, at this point I was so fed up, I said fine. read more

ATTENTION NOVICES!!! If you don't wear spandex, you are welcome here. I am not a cyclist, I ride now and then for transportation and recreation. When I go into a cycling store I am always shocked at the amount of attitude that I get from some shop owners. At InCycle, I get nothing but great advice and service. They have a huge selection of just about everything that I need at my level. The best part is that I am now intrigued to keep going in every week and get more into this cycling stuff. Don't think I will be squeezing into any lycra jumpsuits just yet, but I really like this store. read more

I've been to this store a number of times, and to their credit, my experiences have been pretty similar across the board. Unfortunately, the two things that best characterize this store is that it's difficult to get anyone to help you and it's nearly impossible to park. I don't really understand the customer service, is your phone more important than your customers? You'll be sure to see a mess of people behind the register, many of them not helping anyone. People end up browsing because no one is helping. We don't mean to browse, we just can't actually get some help to close the sale. And parking, sure it's Pasadena, but to spend all that time circling or 5-point turning into a spot and then to not actually buy anything, makes me not want to come back. read more

Got dressed for a long ride yesterday and noticed a large crack in the top tube of my bike. Not safe, and it couldn't be repaired. My heart sank as I was not ready to make a new purchase and I'm nearly a daily commuter (Los Feliz to Culver City). I looked around online and in the used market as well and couldn't find anything that met my needs. A couple of guys I follow on instagram swear by Incycle so I went today. Johnny helped me out with my NEW Cannondale CAAD12. I was blown away by the store and the selection, but more blown away by the customer service! This place has a customer for life! I felt like I was treated like a real person, was asked what my needs were, and felt taken care of the whole time! I look forward to going back for my tune up and will likely take part in future group rides from this shop. Loved my whole experience at Incycle and I LOVE my new CAAD12! read more

This place does have a huge selection of mostly Specialized and Cannondale bikes. There were some bikes on sale for a pretty decent discount when I went. I test rode a bike there and the guy helping me out was a bit distracted. While he was supposed to be helping me out, he started helping somebody else pump air into her flat (while there were several other people around), and when I came back from a test ride, I waited around while he chatted shop with someone. Maybe he was providing good customer service to those other folks, but I would have appreciated some more timely attentiveness. I might have actually purchased my bike here instead of another shop if I were convinced I'd be treated well every time I go in for any sort of tune-up or servicing. read more

I have taken my bike here twice. The repair people act arrogant and don't really show any concern. I've spent $80 twice to get a "tune-up" and when I get my bike back it doesn't seem like they do anything. One time I had to take it back after the tune-up because my gears were still skipping even after I paid them to repair it. I decided to take my bike to Velo in Pasadena and had a much better experience. My bike worked like new and the staff are more helpful. read more
