Beware. They will not do what they say they will do to finish our pool. We had a bad pool company…read morethat fail to finish our pool after 16 months of construction, so we decided to fire them and find someone else to finish our pool. I have gotten quotes from others that it would cost us 10k to 13k to plaster my pool. The owner, Mark, pointed out many things that need to be done for our pool besides plaster and adding a heat pump when he came to give me a quote. He said he will do all that and take care of us and get the pool running. He quoted me 18k including electrician coming out to put an extra breaker box to run the heat pump. He said if we don't need that, the price will be adjusted. We also needed to run electrical wires for the waterfall. We agree to have them do it all instead since he sounded like he knows what he is talking about and willing to help us finish the pool. Unfortunately, I was wrong. All they did was clean out our pool, ordered plaster materials, and have a Subcontractor plaster the pool. They came back to put in lights for our pool. When he couldn't get the string through, he call it quit on me. He told me that he doesn't want to touch anything that was put in by the previous company. He won't pull the wire for the waterfall as well. He told me to get someone to dig up our deck and redo the conduit so the wire can be pulled. He was basically hands off after the pool was plastered. When he came back to turn on our pump, he has no idea how the aqualink automation works. He said he hates Jandy products. He did not ask us for permission before cutting off our Jandy pump and glued in their pump. He told me he does not deal with Jandy and we need to call Jandy and have them figure out why it doesn't work. We called Jandy and they informed us that we need to make sure it is the pump not working or else it won't be a warranty service call. They want us to have someone check to make sure first. We called many pool repair companies and pool stores, and most are too busy to care. Some gave us helpful advices and they all think that our pump should never been taken out. Our pump needed to be plumbed back in before they would come out and take a look at automation system. We were left with a lot of unfinished works and Spacecoast pool supplies call it done. The plugs in our main drain were not taken out after pool was plastered. The jet heads in the spa were don't put in right. Our spa jets did not work and backed up water up our venturi vents. They refuse to deliver and install our heat pump until I furnish them the final payment. They denied their mistakes and would not warrenty our pool finish. They plan to file a lien on my house.

I've been dealing with AC issues, and the same mopey incompetent tech, for over a month now…read more My Landscapers, scheduled to come the first Tuesday of every month, show up seemingly whenever they feel like it. I once had a house cleaner show up, hoping for a nice, once a year, thorough cleaning. She cleaned with one hand, while talking on her phone with the other. Why am I telling you this? Maybe just to illustrate that the old axiom "It's tough to find good help these days," is alive and well on the Space Coast. Or maybe I just want to draw a contrast between crappy service and the incredible 5-star service I've been getting from Space Coast Pools. I think this guy deserves at least 3 stars just for showing up when he says he will and for being communicative beyond what I expected. He earned the other 2 after the fact. I first called Space Coast Pools, and several other Pool Maintenance companies, all of whom I had to leave messages for. (Understood in that I called during the day, when I'm sure they were busy working.) Brandon called me back within an hour. Only one other company even called me back at all and that was several days later. When I ended my call with Space Coast Pools, Brandon thanked me for "the opportunity to 'earn' his business." I think my heart skipped a beat. On our initial meeting my pool looked like a FROG SWAMP. It would not have surprised to see an alligator. Brandon didn't hesitate. He added some things to my pool (without any kind of agreement or contract), gave me a good quote for service and promised to be back Tuesday (it was Saturday) to inspect his work and continue service. Again he thanked me for "the opportunity to 'earn' his business." The very next day our pool was gorgeous. Since then, the pool has never been less than crystal clear and inviting. Plus Brandon remains punctual, polite, and communicative beyond expectation. The only reason I would ever stop using Space Coast Pools is if I die or move to a house without a pool. Even then I might call them!

I will honestly say from the beginning of my review that I was pleased with most of what they promised me. The pool is a nice pool and the the time table for completions was pretty much as promised. That is the good. The bad is how they stand behind their product after the pool as been paid for and completed. Their follow up on issues after completion is terrible. I called (5) five times to have an issue corrected. Just to be accurate I have phone records indicating my call days. I called on 3/29/2017, 6/12/2017, 6/22/2017, 6/29/2017, 7/10/2017. My problem was a leak in the main gutter against the home. it was right in the middle of a normal traffic area. I just wanted the leak fixed. I hired Blue Marlin to build the pool, I did not hire individual sub contractors. So the people I contacted was the company that I hired to do all the contracting needs. Blue Marlin Pools. Their response was always, we will send someone out. Well, weeks turned to months. On my last phone call I was frustrated however not rude. I believe Mike Jackson spoke with me and basically called me rude and asked me if I wanted him to call the responsible contractor or not. Well of course I wanted him to call. His comment was not only inappropriate, but goes against the warranty I should receive without having to fight tooth and nail to get. For this reason I do not recommend this pool company. As stated earlier, I have all my phone records and notes of my conversations with Blue Marlin. The calls started in March and to this day in July they still have not come out to fix the problem.

Only focusing on new installations. No appreciation or care for existing customers who made their business successful. Obviously they make more money on new installations so that's their focus now. New motto, I guess..."Sell more but don't take care of existing customers". Not a good business model for future success! My suggestion is avoid Blue Marlin because you WILL need service on your pool...during the first 3 years and AFTER! Find a pool company that services and appreciates existing customers. Blue Marlin does not!
