I'm now almost at 100% fixed chemically. I didn't spend much to do it either. Johnny and Debbie are so nice, kind and helpful. If I could choose no stars, I would. From the very beginning Sutton Pools service team has been argumentative, dismissive, and non reliable. We began with purchasing a heater/chiller that was meant to use remotely for our guests who stay at our beach home. The tech Eric, was very dismissive, who would rather text than pick up the phone and have a conversation. Janice Sutton, who generally responds to email requests and always with a short argumentative reply couldn't be less helpful. Our pool company who services the account noticed the motor recently purchased and installed less than a year ago by Sutton Pools was making a loud noise, so he sent video which I forwarded to Sutton Pools. The motor is under warranty but Sutton refuses to honor that warranty claiming the pool company was to blame for not notifying them sooner. Furthermore, the heater/chiller we installed less than 6 months ago is also leaking. Now Sutton Pools recommendation is for us to pay for a new motor and find a new company to handle the service requests. We would NEVER recommend Sutton to anyone.

I also bought a heat pump pool heater from them at that time. Since then they told me my Hayward OmniLogicPL controller wasn't working g properly and required a new board for $1850. I paid them the money and they brought the board but three months later it wasn't installed. After three months of runaround I called Hayward directly and their tech came out and found that the board Pinch A Penny ordered want the right board for the OmniLogic. The tech also stated whatever Pinch A Penny tech did to my OmniLogicPL controller has shorted out my pool heater board. Today I returned the board to PAP and the manager told me ownership would have to issue my refund but it should show up on my credit card by tomorrow morning. To be continued...... hoping for a positive resolution.

I called the office and was told ohh we will be there by Friday.. Friday comes and goes and now it's been 3 weeks and 3 phone calls to BJ and still no one showed up and no return calls from BJ... we cancelled them and found a better pool company who actually does what we pay them for. My point being is .. if u want to get continuously blown off by them and the manager BJ and piss money away go right ahead and hire them but if you want actual work and good work at that we highly recommend looking elsewhere or you're money and time will be wasted.

Finally found a team that could patch some cracked coping (cement) in my pool. Chris cam out and…read morealso suggested a new paint job on the pool deck which we agreed to. Reasonable cost for cement patching and painting the deck - BUT Chris brought a worker (same name as mine) who was an obvious rookie and didn't care about being careful nor paying attention to details. He stepped into wet paint w/ his socks and tracked it onto several areas of my cement porch area. He also carelessly splattered drops of paint onto the pool tiles below the coping that he was painting. Chris doe quality work but should be careful of hiring ex-cooks to do deck painting. So (while mowing the side yard), just discovered the streaked paint on my fence - courtesy of either Chris, but more likely Jimmy. This is right behind my garden hose area where the boys splattered their paint brushes onto my fence. See pictures! I know the grass paint will eventually go away. Zero attention to detail here, and actions that show no respect for the customers property. $50 credit from Chris hardly is appropriate for these issues. Therefore, I have disputed an additional $200 w/ CC company for replacement of fence panels. No need that I should live with and see everyday - splattered paint on my vinyl fence.

Maybe just to illustrate that the old axiom "It's tough to find good help these days," is alive and well on the Space Coast. Or maybe I just want to draw a contrast between crappy service and the incredible 5-star service I've been getting from Space Coast Pools. I think this guy deserves at least 3 stars just for showing up when he says he will and for being communicative beyond what I expected. He earned the other 2 after the fact. I first called Space Coast Pools, and several other Pool Maintenance companies, all of whom I had to leave messages for. (Understood in that I called during the day, when I'm sure they were busy working.) Brandon called me back within an hour. Only one other company even called me back at all and that was several days later. When I ended my call with Space Coast Pools, Brandon thanked me for "the opportunity to 'earn' his business." I think my heart skipped a beat. On our initial meeting my pool looked like a FROG SWAMP. It would not have surprised to see an alligator. Brandon didn't hesitate. He added some things to my pool (without any kind of agreement or contract), gave me a good quote for service and promised to be back Tuesday (it was Saturday) to inspect his work and continue service. Again he thanked me for "the opportunity to 'earn' his business." The very next day our pool was gorgeous. Since then, the pool has never been less than crystal clear and inviting. Plus Brandon remains punctual, polite, and communicative beyond expectation. The only reason I would ever stop using Space Coast Pools is if I die or move to a house without a pool. Even then I might call them!
