I wandered around outside wondering if that was the case because I was nervous about going into that salon and asking for a different barbershop. But it's a shared space with different salons and barbershops. (Maybe everyone else figured that out faster than I did.) Anyway, once you go inside, it's easy enough to find Mankind Barbers in studio 16. The barbers are all friendly. If you drive there (I walked), it looked like there was plenty of parking in the lot. I had been a customer for ten years, but not now. Richard, and to some extent his son, are the main players here. They toil day in and day out in a physically unattractive, dirty space. Someone wrote the shop is in a remodeled old house, but not so much. The bathroom is circa Galveston flood, but that's not a reason to stay away. Haircuts are inconsistent if you require anything that vaires from the clipper guard system, anything that requires real concentration on the part of the barber. The skill level of the barbers is mid at best and their concentration can be high or fleeting. When it's fleeting, you'll get chop job. I don't expect barbers to be skilled conversationalists, but when they've seen the same customer once a month for 10 years, they cannot be excused for asking the same dumb ass questions time after time. Paying extra for a quality haircut should consistently snag the customer one each and every time.

He cut almost a whole inch above his natural hair like in the back. I am honestly so sad. The right side he pushed way behind his ears cutting his natural curls out. The front he did way to thick. My sons dad is border line blind, so when the barber came to his home I am assuming he couldn't see the damage that was caused to our sons hair.
