I've been looking for a good barber for years. This is about my 4th hair cut at exc. choice. I've started getting compliments about my hair again. This is a comfortable place to be. The owner really cares that you get a very good hair cut. I always get the hot towel and shampoo. I can't say anything bad about the place. Well you do need an appointment. But this is a good thing. At least you know there aren't 5 people ahead of you. read more

I recently moved away from Houston, but this was my spot for the last year or so of being in town. Miriam is amazing and is so sweet. It was always a pleasure going in to see her and catching up where we had last left off. She remembered exactly how it liked my haircut and was consistent every time. This is a nice hidden gem that gives you the service that you want at a great price point. Anytime I'm back in town, I will plan on stopping in! Now to find another spot in my new city read more

Very clean. Very organized. Have never gotten a rushed or bad haircut. Ozman is tha man!

Great place. I was in town and needed a cut. They fit me in and they did a great job.

It's a nice place to go and get a haircut the crew is great and stuff. The cuts are pretty good I'd say, depending on who you pick to style your hair.... My only concern is their ridiculous high prices. I mean hair and beard totaling at $60.00 - $70.00 dollars... If you can afford spending that much money then it's ok I guess. read more

Had my beard trimmed for my son's upcoming wedding and Miriam did a great job! I will be using her services again.

Domingo does a great job! He takes his time and is meticulous with fades. I always leave feeling confident.

Absolutely horrible! This review is coming after visiting Executive Choice for the second time. I was looking for a new barber and found them and gave them a call asking if they took walk-ins, to which they said yes. When I arrived, the place was empty aside from the 2 barbers and one customer getting a cut. The guy who cut my hair spent half the time talking on the phone, while he cut my hair. This could have easily taken 20ish minutes, but turned into 45. I didn't think much of it since he did a pretty good job. Fast forward to today. I arrived, once again under the notion that they took walk-ins. This time, there were 3 barbers (2 ladies and 1 gentleman). All 3 were in the process of cutting hair. The same guy who cut my hair last time was on the phone, on speaker for the whole shop to hear his call. One of the ladies greeted me and told me to sign on the list. I thought the wait wouldn't be too long since I was the only customer waiting. Man, was I wrong. For an hour and a half I waited to get a haircut. I watched as 2 other customers came in after me and got a haircut and the one guy barber talked on the phone and to other barbers. He seemed to care about doing EVERYTHING else BUT cut hair. I received no communication from staff till 45 min after I arrived. It was only then that the lady mentioned the girl at the front would get me next. The girl at the front had been shaving the same guy in her chair since I walked in and continued to do so as I got up to leave an hour and a half later. It was only then that anyone seemed to care and mentioned the wait wouldn't be much longer once my hand touched the door. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! This was the worst barbershop I've ever been to and everything that went down was totally inexcusable. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere instead of dealing with the incompetency that is abundant at Executive Choice. read more

Came here with my dad and had great service and gave us good hair cuts would recommend

Ask for Osman. Gives the best fade I've ever had in my life. Great place, would definitely recommend!

One of the best experiences I've ever had regarding a haircut. Quite possibly the best ever. Definitely ask for Miriam. Great attention to detail. Intently listened to what I wanted and perfectly executed it. Took her time. Gentle touch. I could go on & on but just trust me, you're gonna love the experience here with Miriam. read more

Executive Choice Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Houston, Texas

Excellent barber shop held together by two gorgeous women (Miriam and Veronica) and a cool dude named Antonio. Today was my first visit to Executive Choice and as I was waiting for a haircut I observed the barbers at work. They all took their time and made sure that the cuts are all perfect. The precision they used with the straight razors was amazing. There's no rush here and the hospitality is there. As soon as I walked in Miriam greeted me and asked me to sign in. The TV was set to ESPN and college football was on. When it was my turn I was also offered a cold drink. The haircut was great as I expected but what really surprised me was the extra services including hot towel, straight razor edge ups and full head massage (Veronica has magic fingers) that was included in the price of only $15. A tremendous value, I felt very relaxed and pleased that my wallet wasn't molested. I loved this place, and you will too! read more

Executive Choice Barber Shop - Great Cut !! My son found his new place! Ask for OSMAN - Barbers Near Me - Houston, Texas

Very saddened and disappointed! As soon as I parked, the staff closed the blinds and flipped the sign to closed. It was 4:20 on a Saturday and they close at 5. Won't be returning and definitely won't recommend. read more

Miram did a great job. First time here and got the cut and shave. She helped me figure out what I wanted and definitely enjoyed the experience! read more

I stopped in for a trim since my barber was out of the country. WHAT A F'n MISTAKE! You know it's bad when another barber stops the hair cut he has in progress to try to fix the mess the young lady made out of my hair cut. He said it was due to her lack of experience. WTF do you have inexperienced people working in your shop? read more

Friendly service, great cut, and very professional. Reasonably priced as well. I got the additional beard trim and didn't know I could look this good. Osman did an excellent job! AND they let me practice my Spanish! I will definitely be returning. read more

Finally!!! I've been in houston for 9 years and have been on a quest for a great barber shop that doesn't gouge you the whole time. I've tried salons , cheap and expensive barbers, and everything in between. I had conceded to keep going to cut throat bc they give great cuts without a doubt, but at 35$ + tip every four weeks it's a little pricey. This place gave me an excellent cut for 20$ + tip. The wait was a bit long but I didn't set up and appointment and came after work like Everyone else, So just plan ahead. read more

I never thought I would leave a comment or a review on yelp, but this place is probably the worst place/worst customer service I've ever seen. They definitely need to close down this place. In my experience today was horrible. If I could give zero stars I would but unfortunately I can't. Osman is unprofessional read more

My husband came to get a beard trim, the whole ordeal took about 30 min for $20 and his beard has never looked better! Definitely recommend this barbershop to men it was a good experience. A plus they speak Spanish everyone was very friendly and the service was quick. read more

Meh, just another haircut place, nothing to write home about. Just recently raised their prices. Understaffed and long wait times, even if it is by appointments. Keep it moving, nothing to see here. read more

Miriam and her staff are outstanding! I have been coming here for over two years and could not think of a better place to go to. Just outside of the loop and perfect for anyone living in Garden Oaks for Oak Forest read more

My husband and I visited this location for this first time today. After visiting several other barber shops we have finally found the one!! We were incredibly pleased of the service and the results. Everyone there was very nice and polite, they took their time cutting my husbands and hair and did an excellent job! The barber shop itself was impeccable. Vintage/modern feel look. We are incredibly pleased with it all and will definitely become regulars to this shop. read more

Yep, this is as good as it gets. Miriam is incredible! It is a full service cut when you come here. That includes shampoo, straight razor shave, hot towel and a massage. Literally the best haircut i have ever gotten. So glad that i found her and now i don't have to look anymore for someone else. Do yourself a favor and check this place out, there is no way you will be disappointed. And tell your friends! read more

First time going to a traditional barbershop. Loved the haircut, trim and shaping of my beard and shave. It was a relaxing experience and definitely will return. Dorse' was awesome!! read more

This is my second time here, and will be my new place. It's a nice clean barber shop, both of my cuts turned out great, and my wait was short. Great job! read more

I like this place and the owner. Most importantly, I receive a very good haircut for a modest price. The service includes a hot towel over your face, while your hair is getting it final rinse. Then you get a wonderland neck rub. wide screen TV''s with sports news playing. Complimentary beer or wine. read more

Haircut is fine, but what's the point of taking appointments if you're not going to honor it? I made an appointment this afternoon for 6 and they took somebody else. The reasoning was because he was waiting. I understand that but shouldn't you honor an appointment? Half an hour later I'm in the seat and can't get the haircut I wanted because we have a language barrier. Got a safe haircut and won't be back. read more

What a joke. Just spent 25 mins at this place and the owner just lets some guy cut the line because he gave her a five star rating on Facebook. I've been here a few times and the last time I was here they did a full service shave and haircut and was really disappointed in the shave must of had four or five cuts on my face. Trying to be a high line shop and it's just not working. read more

I've been coming to Executive Choice Barber Shop for about two years. It has been a staple in my weekly routine. In the past I didn't have a regular barber as I wear a buzz cut, but Miriam and Antonio changed that. They are incredibly sweet and positive people. I enjoy their company and the way they make me look. Service is above and beyond at their place. Although I don't ever partake, they offer beverages (alcoholic/non-alcoholic) and a wide variety of magazines. The massages are great as well. It is the absolute best haircut experience out there. I'd highly recommend Executive Choice. read more

This place is terrific! Miriam is the best! You can get a quick inexpensive haircut or you can get the works! I prefer the latter, which for me, typically includes the cut, wash, and a shave. The shave includes a full facial with exfoliants and all the good stuff. If you want the white glove treatment come to executive choice!! read more

Best haircut I've ever received. Tony really puts time and attention into cutting my hair. Notices things about my hair/head other barbers haven't. Small stuff, I know, but it really makes a difference. He also takes the straight edge razor to my neckline AND my front hairline as well. Nice touch. read more

Very detailed attentive staff. On my first visit Sarai took care of my haircut, and it turned out very well. She took a lot of time to be sure it looked good. I brought in pictures from my last haircut which I thought was excellent and I received at a very high end barbershop. I think that Sarai did an even better job. Miriam was very friendly and seemed to care greatly for her customers and strives to provide top-notch service and experience. At the end of the haircut I got a shampoo and massage, I was getting worried that the final bill would have gotten really high with the extra services but they were all included in the $25 total. I'll be back! read more

Miriam is great! Been seeing her over a year now and she delivers consistent and quality haircuts at a low price. I haven't had my haircut by the other two gentleman that work there but the haircuts I have seen them do are top notch. They are also very polite and go out of their way to make me feel welcome even though they don't cut my hair. I recommend to call and make an appointment, but if you don't they'll offer you a cold beverage to enjoy during your wait! read more

Update: I've been back several times in the past year, it's hard to trust anyone else with my hair now. I've had my hair done by everyone in the shop and it's great every single time. read more

I was visiting from out of town and wanted a true barber shop. Many were closed on Mondays, but I found Executive, called, and was warmly greeted. My real surprise, however, was having such a great cut, great shave, and relaxing visit. Kimberly took great care of me. She knows the value of excellent service and has tremendous expertise. I would visit again and highly recommend this modest, lovely enterprise. You won't be disappointed. read more

Executive barber shop it is bad, it's was my first time and the last one because I tried explain my haircut to Barber Antonio and he doesn't know how make it also he was so disrespectful with me and desperate because he don't know how made my hair cut, he told me " hey I can't waste more time with you I have more customer waiting" imagine that situation so uncomfortable . read more

I've been going to Mariam for years. She does my sons hair also. I am always very satisfied and highly recommend her place!

Went there for first time this week. Got a great haircut but was overcharged by Miriam. I was charged $20 (plus I left a $10 tip) for a regular men's cut...no washing, no extras. Next day, I called to ask the price of a haircut and was told by Miriam that it was $15, so Miriam got $30 for my $15 haircut. Congrats to you Miriam but I won't be back,as your dishonesty is revolting. I'm sure that you were just building in a $5 tip since I looked like a bum and you were afraid I wouldn't leave one. And by the way....I'm not really just visiting Houston, I just moved here and was looking for a regular barber....you won't be the place. It has nothing to do with the cost, but everything to do with your dishonesty. All for and extra $5......so sad. read more
