We made a beer stop and noticed there was an event going on, so we decided to try this wing business. There were two QR codes, so we scanned one and placed our order. There was no line, so we were surprised when we waited and realized something had gone wrong. Apparently, there are two QR codes--one that goes to their website and another that goes directly to their phone system. Our order had been sent through email and wasn't scheduled to be processed until Tuesday! We asked about the issue, and even though there was no line, the cashier was on her phone and didn't see the order. Once we explained what happened, they made us wait another 15 minutes for our food. The wings were okay. They basically tasted like wings with Frank's hot sauce and blue cheese. They didn't have ranch, which was disappointing. It was a Saturday night, and my friend had just cancelled on our plans to get wings. That kind of stuff sucks, but what would suck even more is if I had never gone to Wings by Mezzo and missed out on their wings. My hunger for the wings was greater than the disappointment I had for cancelled plans, and what better answer for my hunger than Wings By Mezzo? So I pulled up! Situated in front of Noble Ale Works, Wings by Mezzo is served in a food trailer with freshly made ingredients and absolute passion. You order through a QR code and pick up your order. Parking is easy, and there was ample seating (at least when I went). Aaron greeted me and walked me through how some of the Wings were prepared in order to accommodate my spice tolerance. He answered all my questions about the wings. Solid service. I got the Onion Rings, Cherry Chipotle, Bangkok, Orange-U-Glad-We-Made-This, and Spicy Korean BBQ. That sounds like a lot for one man, but rest assured I didn't eat them all at once. I bought some wings for my wife. Best believe I could have downed them all, though. Of all the wings, I have to give it up for the Cherry Chipotle and Orange U Glad. Cherry Chipotle was sweet and had the right amount of kick. For those that err on the side of caution, Orange U Glad is a solid choice. Zesty, no spice, and probably the least messiest to eat. Wings by Mezzo is a pop up/food truck that has been at ritual brewing pretty consistently lately. There's a QR code for you to order and pay from. When your food is ready you get a text to pick up. Really straightforward and easy. I've ordered pretty much everything on his menu except for maybe one or two of his flavors and literally all of them are great. These wings aren't just a better wingstop or bww wing. They're going to be a little larger, perfectly cooked wing that's juicy inside with a very well balanced sauce. His sauces are on point with his descriptions and he knows his flavors. For example, between his Asian flavors, he doesn't just add soy sauce to call it Asian. His Thai flavor has actual Thai characteristics, was pretty on point and something you'd find at a Thai restaurant. His flavors are well balanced with restraint. I am not a fan of sweet sauces but one of my favorites is his honey sauce. His fries are shoestring cut like McDonald's but are Unsalted. He provides you ketchup and salt so you can flavor as you like. His onion rings are really good. Batter is light, fried perfectly crispy and delicious. The only downside is all his wings are sauced. The least saucy are his lemon pepper and Cajun. So for those looking for a dry rub, give those 2 a try, ask him for a non-sauced wing or give his sauce a try. Owner will harass you if you leave a bad review I tried this place twice and left a bad review for a few reasons 1: they said they accepted cash, and in fact do not. 2: you can only order through the app which has mandatory tip even though the business model ensures zero human interaction. 3: they got my order wrong and I thought screw it I just won't buy from them again, only addressed it after taking my money and knowingly serving the wrong food. Important note, if you look at the other bad reviews, you'll see he has responded to bad reviews before publicly with personal attacks on costumers character. WILD. The wing itself was crispy, had a good sweet flavor, and the flavor went all the way through to the meat. The wing was enjoyable all the way to the bone, and it was my personal favorite. I'd rate the Memphis Rub a 5/5. Finally, the Spicy Korean wing was a very flavorful wing, you get the spicy, slight sweetness, and it was flavorful all the way through.
