Stopped by Shun Fat to pick up some groceries while getting ingredients ready for dinner, and…read moreoverall found some pretty solid deals. For meat, I grabbed ground beef, pork neck (currently on sale for $1.99/lb), and chicken breast. Prices were definitely reasonable. For produce, quite a few items were cheaper than H Mart, including enoki mushrooms, Japanese yam, daikon, shiitake mushrooms, tofu, and carrots. That said, the Japanese yam didn't look very fresh this time, so I ended up skipping it and buying it at H Mart instead, even though it was a bit more expensive. Some items were priced about the same as H Mart, like napa cabbage ($0.99/lb), onions ($0.39/lb), and bean sprouts ($0.99 per pack). One change I noticed is that cucumbers are now pre-packaged instead of being sold loose, so you can't pick them individually anymore. They're also slightly more expensive than H Mart now. They also had a great deal on Driscoll's strawberries, $0.99 for a 1 lb box, which is definitely worth picking up. Overall, still a great spot for affordable grocery shopping, especially if you're cooking at home and want to save a bit here and there. (visited on 3/31/2026)

The store carries a large variety of ethnic groceries but main focus is asian foods and canned goods. They have many types of fresh, tropical fruits and freshly butchered meats and fish. I usually shop there when I'm in the area running errands. Long lines at checkout most of the times but they have many open registers so the lines do move quickly. Check them out if you're in area.

Came here on a Friday night and decided to enjoy a "tiger butter" caramel apple after the movies…read more The apple itself tasted good until I was nearly done and began eating the bottom of it. The flavor quickly went from sweet to BITTER! That's when I knew something was wrong and decided to turn my car light on. I was appalled to find something brown with wings at the base of the apple; where the skewer stick was poked in, under the peanut butter coating. I immediately spit out what was in my mouth and brought the remainder of the apple back into the store around 9PM. The young employee was rather nonchalant about the whole thing. When I asked if this type of thing's happened before she said something along the lines of "it has, but not often". Feeling disgusted, it was then I asked for a refund. She instead offered me a free apple in its place, but being disgusted I said no thank you. She later said only a manager could issue a refund and that I would have to come back during the week. I was then provided the manager's name, Lacey Shimming. That Monday I returned, but the manager was not in. There was a different employee working this time. She was very sweet and compassionate. She was shocked at my story and asked to see my pictures. She immediately apologized, said this was unacceptable, and asked if she could take a picture of everything and text her manager. I said that was fine. She let me know the manager would be back on Wednesday and there until 4PM. I returned today (Wednesday) and kindly asked to speak with the manager. The moment I started telling my story she immediately became hostile and aggressive! She shouted she already heard my story and how I was "aggressive towards her employees". She shouted "there was never a bug in my apple" and how they have a great track record with the county. She then shouted she "had already spoken with corporate" and pointing at a sign said there was absolutely "no refunds." Confused, I told her I work in customer service and there was no need to accuse me of anything unjustly. As a manager she could have easily reviewed cameras / footage as soon as she was made aware of a potential issue. She had nothing to say in response, other than "that's just what I heard". To prove my point I showed her a picture of the cockroach leg that was in the apple they sold me (the same picture in this review). I told her there was no need to be so hostile towards me. I felt verbally attacked and out of disbelief and desperation I took out my phone to document her behavior. She immediately shied away when she saw my phone and ran towards the back, yelling she was going to call security. I notified her I would be contacting the OC Health Care Agency to report this incident.

Only noticed this spot because I was picking up my Amazon package at the Whole Foods next door. The only other See's in the area I frequent is the one at South Coast Plaza - so definitely happy to discover this one that is much closer than me. One of the gals told me they've been here for almost 20 years! First day of October, and they have all their wonderful Halloween treats up! I had to snap some photos of course - normally I wouldn't, since most people know what inside of a See's looks like - but I really like how organized and clean this store has their display. I was greeted right away by the super friendly clerk. I didn't catch her name - I don't think she's the one that's on my receipt though since the cashier was a different gal (Ashlee P according to my receipt) - but both clerks were friendly! I turned down their sample since it looked like it had nuts in it - not allergic or anything - I just prefer my chocolate to be smooth. Zero'd in on a small custom box of Milk Chocolate Butterscotch Squares. These really hit the spot for me. Probably my all-time favorite candy to get at See's. Total for about ten pieces was a little over $15 - comes in a nice little box that they seal on-site. It's really not that much when you consider the quality, the freshness - you can taste the freshness in each bite. You can get a custom blend of your favorite flavor(s) - and See's was started in California. Awesome customer service, great parking (the lot never really gets full), super cool Halloween-themed gifts - will definitely visit more often now that I know they are here!

I love the aromatherapy and smell here but I am going to avoid this place from now on. Beautiful products but HORRIBLE ethics and morals.
