They were shipped out via USPS and it does say delivered to mailbox however I checked the mail box and it was empty. I normally don't like anything shipped via USPS it's very bad depending on what state you live in and in Florida it's horrific. After spending $200 for herbal pills I called them and was advised that it was nothing that could be done due to the package saying delivered. I was advised I should've paid more to expedite my order so it could be shipped with a different shipping company. Ann helped save my life, and I don't say that lightly. I'd gotten seriously ill, my body couldn't really hold any food or liquids, and I became dangerously frail and depleted. Giving 1 star is not my thing but it's someone's responsibility to call this business out for what it is: A SCAM, from their bogus ancestry story (300 years yielding only 5 generations, their great great grandfather being the herbalist to the king), to their fake reviews, and their business conduct. If you are going to make up an interesting back story at least make it make sense. Most of the accounts that gives 5 stars only reviewed them and a couple other businesses (so not to be deleted by yelp) and the account went cold never reviewing another business again. Most of the reviews of 5 stars carry the same tone, flow and grammatical errors. But it wasn't until I actually made an appointment to come in for consultation and purchase herbs where it became abundantly clear these 5 stars are fake. My experience with the two sisters Connie/Ann couldn't have been more different from what the reviews described. Me and my mom came in on time. Shop was empty. Connie was indifferent just want to keep to herself. Ann stomped in about 10 mins late which is absolutely fine. But the attitude and behavior of what comes next is why this review is necessary. She never greeted or introduced herself. Went right in to tell me to stick my tongue out for a photo. The sisters had no masks on and the shop does not have hand sanitizers visible. I was recommended here by a friend. I had insomnia and stomach pains. Ann looked at my tongue and explained everything. I thought wow, finally someone who understood me. 4 years ago, a dermatologist prescribed an antibiotic to me to help with acne. The antibiotic gave me a side effect of developing blistering rashes when exposed to sunlight. That dermatologist then prescribed oral steroids to me to help treat the rashes. Although, my skin initially got better while taking the oral steroids, the rashes came back shortly after tapering off of the med. So, the dermatologist then prescribed topical steroid ointments to me. I ended up seeing another dermatologist soon after who continued prescribing topical steroid ointments to me for years. At some point, I stopped developing rashes when exposed to sunlight, but my skin was never fully healed. Whenever I tried to stop using the topical steroid ointment, my rashes would come back worse than before. My dermatologist kept on insisting that I have eczema, even though I've never had eczema before and don't have a family history of eczema and other autoimmune disorders. After years of frustration with dermatologists and wanting to try something different to help me heal, I found Ann Tam and silkie. This is an updated review after working with Ann and the team at Silkie Herbs for almost 3 years now. Three years ago, I had horrible digestion (I had to carry digestive enzymes with me everywhere, I had heart burn, and I coughed incessantly after every meal -- and I was only 26 at the time) and I got sick ALL THE TIME. We're talking colds multiple times per year, sometimes even bronchitis. And when I got sick, I would have a persistent cough that lasted for MONTHS. I thought I'd update this review since it's been a few years.... These pills are amazing and still continue to help my family every time we had health problems. Ann is so talented and knowledgable with TCM, she is an angel to our family. Just an update on some of the things she helped us with lately... - My daughter started getting nauseous, stomachache, and bloated after eating. And certain foods, mainly dairy, made it even worse. I thought she would be lactose intolerant or have major stomach problems, but after taking pills from Ann for about 2 weeks, she's completely fine again. Wow! - I'm only 38, but I started to have night sweats, hot flashes, and sleeping problems. I thought I was starting menopause, but after consulting with Ann and taking the pills she recommended, I no longer have night sweats, hot flashes, and am sleeping much better at night...which gives me more energy during the day. - My Primary Care Physician told me I was starting to develop arthritis because in the morning, my fingers would be stiff and sore to open/close. Ann helped me with the right combination of pills to reduce the arthritis. I still get it after I go paddling in the ocean because of the "damp" nature of it, but these pills help me continue doing what I love. - I had lower back pain for more than 9 months. My mom, dad and I met with Ann Tam at Silkie Herbs in October of 2020 and we all started taking her recommended Chinese herbs. We each took the herbs to help with a variety of health issues. Within the first 2 weeks we all noticed a difference in how we felt. I have a history of frequent headaches including migraines, lower back pain and sciatica, was dealing with bad acid reflux and poor sleeping among other issues with my lupus. In the first two weeks I had no headaches, my reflux improved as well as sleeping much better. I've been working with Dr. Ann for about two months now and I really see an improvement. I'm 23 years old and don't have that "relationship" with traditional Chinese medicine that my mom does. During our initial meeting, Ann and I sat down for about an hour to go over my symptoms. I was experiencing acid reflux and it was terrible.
