I called this place one day ago because my back got injured in a car crash. My insurance asked for a doctor's note before treatment and the doctor said they can give me one. I drive there today in pain and they told me in person that they can't give the doctor's note anymore. They want me to pay out of pocket first and then give me the doctor's note because they said there is a chance I might run away after getting the doctor's note. This company cares more about MONEY than their patients' HEALTH. Dr. LEE gave me a really bad attitude and told me his front desk lied to me. Another patient walked in the door and his attitude changed completely. I left very upset and in pain. I immediately drove to another acupuncture place and they gave me a doctor's note right away. I was looking for an acupuncturist that specializes in fertility but the places I found were way too expensive for my budget but some cheaper places look so dirty and not relaxing. My dad introduced me to J Acupuncture and it was perfect. The office is like a spa/medical office, very clean, friendly staff and the best thing is Dr. Noh specializes in fertility and was able to understand my needs. I went to visit him twice a week starting from three months before conception til I got past my first trimester. He made changes depending on each stage and really helped me with my morning sickness. The Acupuncturists here are very hard workers (not the most welcoming) and the front desks ladies are nice. These guys are generally booked at least a week out. So be sure to plan ahead. When I arrived, the reception ladies who I think were also nurses gave me the usual paperwork , checked insurance and I was good to go. This is long overdue, but I've been meaning to write J Acupuncture a review. I had an elbow injury from boxing which occurred on October 2018. I hyper extended my elbow, and the pain was so sharp, I could not hold a mug, or drive with my right arm. I've tried different acupuncture clinics in LA, unfortunately, it did not work for my injury. But one day, my boyfriend came back from academy and he was in pain. I yelped for acupuncturists in Orange County, and this clinic was the only one open on a Saturday. Let me tell you. I was sold. Not because it's $40 for an initial appointment, but my doctor was GOOD. He didn't zen me or anything, but he got right to the source, and my pain alleviated. Of course, one session isn't enough. I went Every week from July until October, and I can tell you - my injury is COMPLETELY gone. Here's some bullet tips: - initial appointment is $40, $30 after on acupuncture + post remedy - each session is 1 hour long. I was recommended by Linda N. to check out this particular acupuncture office for my migraines. I haven't had these particular set of migraines (or any) for 10 years or so but boy, when it came back, it. came. back. I was pretty bummed because the pain was debilitating and it always happened either in the mornings before work or after work. Being that I have to be under light and have to talk to people, this was a nightmare come true. Because i know my friend's circumstances with migraines, I trust her when she gives me a recommendation. And since she was my referral, Dr. Choo was also the doctor who assisted me. Been seeing DR. Lee for about 8 sessions now. Huge improvements on my back pain. I used to go a practice in Irvine and stopped because I started feeling better. However, my burning and stiff back sensations starting coming back and I wanted to try somewhere closer to home, since I go once a week. It's a very professional and clean facility. They have private rooms and sometimes I would share a room with other patients but there's curtains for privacy. They accept insurance and the pricing without insurance is very reasonable too. Not only did he always take time to listen to all of my concerns, but he also explained what he was doing and why. Most of my sessions included needles and electrode pads, and on some occasions cupping. I've recommended a few friends and family, and they've also had wonderful experiences. They take several insurances, but honestly the pricing isn't bad. WOW I have wanted to try acupuncture for Many years, finally a dear friend referred me, I am truly amazed. My chronic pain has been reduced. I also had a lump that was bothering me on my arm it's almost gone! Starts with a combination of Accupuncture needles and electric stimulation, then dry or wet cupping and burning treatment. I will be the first to say that I'm no expert on acupuncture, but I really had a good first time experience at J Acupuncture. I was in a car accident about a year ago, have a bulged disk with a pinched nerve, and I've tried physical therapy, massage, chiropractic adjustment, and cortisone shots but nothing has really helped. Acupuncture is the last try I have before surgery. It's too early to say if my problems are solved but I feel like acupuncture has the greatest chance of fixing me out of everything I've done so far. The place is kind of tucked out of the way and its not the most luxurious but all the people are really friendly and they seem to blend traditional acupuncture with a more western medicine style. They use the regular acupuncture technique of needles but they also use the electrical stimulation maching typically used by physical therapists. The twist is they also attach the electrical machine to some of the needles so the impulses really get in there. After setting you up they put heat lamps on your ankles (which is surprisingly a perfect place to keep you warm but not overheat you) and leave you to relax. When your time is up they rub you out a bit then apply kinesio tape which seems like a nice extra touch. The best part is each session is only $30 which is a lot cheaper than most other places. Granted they just have one big room with curtain dividers to seperate off each persons area but with prices so cheap I'm not going to complain. The only reason I took off one star was because when I went to pay and gave my insurance card (I hadn't really spoken to the receptionist before going into the room so I hadn't had a chance earlier) she told me there wasn't time so to just give it to the receptionist at my next session. read more

I waited a couple of weeks so that I could provide a more complete and accurate update - my initial review was based upon my initial experience in comparison to other forms of care including that received from traditional medical doctors and chiropractors. While all have their place, when it comes to non-life threatening injuries and ailments, I feel acupuncture and holistic treatments which aid the body's natural healing process definitely has its place. I was primarily treated by Dr. Choo and upgrade to 5 Stars based on his care and: 1. Value: Although their "package deal" has gone up from $125 to $150 as of 8/1/18, it is a good value as I've received in addition to acupuncture; massage, kinesio tape, moxibustion, and cupping treatments from various visits, and 2. Service, care, and professionalism from receptionists to Dr. Choo. I believe it is important to note at times at MY option, had opted for some level of discomfort from the various treatments, the staff always checked to manage this discomfort to whatever was deemed acceptable to me. I chose to rely on their expertise since my primary objective communicated to Dr. Choo was to hasten the recovery time for my calf strain. He was clear and honest in his assessment - he never promised a miracle. He explains the treatments as to how they will help heal my injury. I'm still in recovery but my calf feels much better and will soon be able to continue the activities I enjoy. Dr. Lee has been amazing through this whole process. I've been a patient here since August for knee and back issues from a sports injury and I feel amazing. Within a month my back started to feel more aligned and in less pain. I could barely walk for more that 5 mins and not even squat down without pain, now I'm walking 20-25 mins and able to bend with much more ease. I plan to continue my treatment with Dr. Lee as he has been very knowledgeable and understanding throughout my whole process. I've searched all over San Diego for the best and reasonably priced acupuncture office for pain management. Found nothing! All the of the office prices range 75-200 a visit. I planned a trip to the OC and out of curiosity looked up reviews for acupuncture's here. Yelp, lead me to J Acupuncture. I called last minute to book an appointment, but they were fully booked for Saturday and took down my name in case someone cancels. Someone did and lucky for me I was able to set up an appointment. It is a small and homey office on the first floor, checked in, and escorted to a small room with curtains to divide room into two spaces for patients. Not very appealing, but I don't care I just need needles and herbal oils to get rid of pain in my lower back. I have been back twice and pain is gone. I would def go again and drive up from San Diego. Now I know where to go for pain relief at a great price. First time patients it is 35 and after that 25 a visit. Totally worth it. read more

I stumbled upon J Acupuncture one morning after waking up with a cold. Normally when I have a cold an elderly family member would đu gió for me (it's a Vietnamese eucalyptus oil back rub). But since that's of the past, I thought maybe there are places where services like this are provided. I looked up holistic treatments and J Acupuncture was the first with 5 starts reviews. I was a little hesitant since there was less then 10 testimonies on Yelp so far, but after reading all the reviews and checking out their webside, I felt, why not. So here's the verdicts, 1. Very clean 2. Very busy. The front desk gals were continuously answering phones, writing down appointments or serving the waiting clients and/ or grabbing clients medicine refills. 3. There are multiple doctors (I asked for dr. Choo after talking to one of the waiting client. She said all are wonderful but Choo is good to start out with.) 4. Professional and friendly services. The main doctor will talk to you and do the actual acupuncture treatment, but when I got my Gua Sha by another. 5. Calming music and atmosphere. The only thing I had a slight issue was privacy. The treatment rooms are due rooms that's separated by a curtain. Keep in mind that it was my first time there so the next I'll be more desensitized to sharing the room and it's not an issue but others who prefer a private room. You have been warned. It's not a big deal breaker. I didn't see the other woman laying in the same dim lighted room as me, but I could hear her talking to the doctors about her concerns and I'm sure she heard mine :-) read more

I haven't been back to this J Acupuncture for almost 3 years. it was about 3 months ago I hurted my wrist by over twisting it. As usual I went to my family doctor who gave me an X-ray and prescription pain medication with no help. Next I went to massage therapist with little improvement. Then suddenly I remembered J Acupuncture as I have forgotten them. Til today I have finished my 5th visit and it seemed improve substantially compare to the other two previous treatments. Thank you Dr. Noh and your staff for providing a professional and effective service. There has been a very little to none wait time after checking in and I am impressed with the operation. Each session is $30 which is the same as my copay ($5 more than 3 year ago which is reasonable), however, I bought the package of $150 for 6 sessions.
