Louise brings over thirty years experience as a nurse to her acupuncture practice. There isn't anything health related she hasn't seen. She also incorporates color and sound therapy into her acupuncture treatments which are highly relaxing. The excellent hand surgeon I was seeing told me they would try up to two injections of the steroid and if the second did not fix the issue he would remedy the problem with surgery. Before I went for the surgery I asked Karina if there was anything she could do. She said yes and after ONE!! treatment the trigger finger went away and it has been away for FIVE years. I saw her today for shoulder pain and after a one hour treatment it has improved. And here is the best part of going to Karina. My whole ordeal began when my little niece spent the night and woke up vomiting and coughing. I knew it was just a matter of time before my 3yr. old and 11month old got whatever that nasty bug was. Sure enough, he goes on to have 100-102 fever for a whole week with a runny nose, a horrible cough, and vomiting. Saturday night we end up in the ER with a 104 fever and find out my niece is also in the hospital diagnosed with adenovirus, RSV, and viral pneumonia! I am horrified, but the doctor assures me that a 10day round of amoxicillin and tylenol are all my two boys need to get over their ear infection and/or pneumonia. When I googled my symptoms I came across an article on piriformis syndrome written by Dr. Nicolas Campos. Even though I live a bit far from his office, I decided it was worth the drive to see him. Not only has his program of adjustments, stretches and exercises, and orthotics given me relief from my pain and numbness in both my arms and legs, I have better posture, have changed the way I walk, and look more fit and feel more confident. Dr Nick is intensely passionate about helping people. I can see how to some people, at first meeting, this might put them off. But give him a chance! And his approach to treatment will get at the root cause of your pain and give you the tools you need to keep yourself healthy and strong on your own. I am glad he is honest and upfront about needing to commit to a program in order to heal. This is not about getting your money any more than when a doctor prescribes a certain number of physical therapy sessions after surgery. I have been to chiropractors who crack you a few times and send you on your way. She asked a lot of questions to try and determine the source of my pain. She also welcomed any other further questions that I might have. We discussed herbs and all the other treatments that she offers that might be helpful. I loved that the needles that she used on me on some herbal medicine on them. They felt like they had menthol on them. It felt so good and I'll certainly be back.
