And don't forget about Mondays free cookie day with a purchase of medium beverage, ummm yes please! Their service is fantastic, super friendly staff and great management! If you're not in a hurry there's a little sit down area as well and chairs outside on summer days. Metered parking on the street, but on this end of 1st street it's super cheep. Probably my favorite coffee shop in the city for multiple reasons. We bring our dog here every weekend for a puppicino and we get coffees and walk along the river. The coffees are always so good and they have fun speciality drinks. The staff is always so friendly. They are THE most dog focused coffee shop around which keeps us coming back time and time again. Parking is super easy. There are tables inside and out to sit at. The wall has dog photos all over. They did dog pumpkin pies for thanksgiving this year - which you can bet we bought! read more

In the loop coffee is a hidden spot that offers food (made to order & daily specials), standard coffee fare, limited indoor seating, and friendly staff. FOOD: I tried their salad (I know not a traditional coffee shop option). While it was nothing overwhelming, all the vegetables were fresh and the additions made the salad more interesting. And reasonably priced. Other options on the menu included Paninis, and they also had daily specials which rotate, including: meatball sub, etc. AMBIANCE: cozy and comfortable. Limited seating but perfectly adequate. SERVICE: friendly and accommodating. Nothing much to report. Bathrooms are available in the building this shop is attached to. Parking is limited in North Loop but during certain hours you can get free street parking and otherwise there is paid street parking and a lot across the street. read more

I absolutely loved this place. I came to work on some homework and ordered a maple latte which was absolutely delicious. The barista (I believe her name was Brenda maybe?) answered all my questions and swapped out ingredients for non dairy alternatives. Staff was very friendly and it was obvious they had a sea of regulars who knew each other and the staff. There are dog pictures all over the walls, which is an A in my book. The only drawback I noticed is that when it isn't warm out, this may not be the best place to take a large group because it is relatively small, but they had a patio that looked pretty spacious but it wasn't open because it was too cold. Solid coffee shop. Eclectic decor, cute and comfy if you wanted to come here to chill or to work. Right in the heart of North Loop and on the main road (that I feel every restaurant is on) so good and easy to access. The drinks are solid. Nothing overwhelming or amazing and special. I happened to be in the area on a Sunday morning and stopped in with my niece. They are small, but dog friendly indoors and there is a little outside area for the warmer months. On a Sunday morning, I was able to find free street parking, but there is also a paid lot across the street. They have a great selection of fun drinks that are reasonably priced and delicious! I ordered the salted caramel latte and my niece ordered the black and white mocha. We both enjoyed our drinks and were pleased with the kind staff. My husband and I have been coming here on a regular basis for over a year. This is our favorite coffee shop in the area as it is cute and affordable (compared to others in the area). Tucked away in North Loop, In The Loop Coffee can be easily missed but you should definitely try to make it out here if you're searching for caffeine while exploring the neighborhood! I popped over a few weeks ago because I heard great things from friends and I was not let down. First of all the space is very tiny, but adorable and cozy. If you're planning on coming here to work, there are outlets but very limited seating. The shop is very puppy friendly - there are portraits of doggos all over the walls as well as delicious puppy treats available for purchase! Along with puppy treats, they also have a nice selection of locally made goods as well as coffee beans to go. Good selection of coffee and a few yummy seasonal drinks always available. I went with a caramel mocha and was not disappointed. The baristas were kind and friendly. Definitely will be back to try more of the seasonal beverages and maybe even get a bite to eat since they do have a small food menu mostly consisting of pastries and a few breakfast sandos. Parking on the street is sadly not free and might be limited, just an fyi but it's perfect if you're just walking around or biking in the summertime. Definitely will be returning! read more

The staff was very welcoming from the time we walked in until we left. The chocolate chip cookies are amazing- especially if you get it warmed. They're baked fresh and the flavor is perfect and has just the right amount of chocolate chips. I ordered the cafe miel- it's honey and cinnamon. I got it iced and it was perfectly balanced. I would definitely return to try other drinks or continue to order the same and get that cookie. The scones look very good too and rotate flavors. Great cappuccino when I stopped in here on a weekday. Seemed to be one of those spots that had a lot of locals, always a good sign!

If you're reading this, please note that they have cute pics of dogs framed all across the coffee shop and that they welcome our little furry four legged friends into the coffee shop if the rest of my review doesn't convince you... In The Loop Coffee Co feels like a small but classic well-rounded coffee shop that caters to a wide audience with their extensive coffee *as well as* food menu. It looked like a great spot to stop in for a morning coffee or lunch pick me up and people watch as it also draws a crowd of people from different walks of life. I noticed a cyclist, two-what appeared to be-students, a couple of folks dressed in business casual, as well as other folks that appeared to be regulars casually stopping in to grab a drink to-go, or taking their coffee to a table to enjoy alongside their newspaper. And best of all, there were a couple dogs that came in and lounged on the floor or ate cups of whipped cream provided by the baristas while I was there (I'm a *huge* fan of how dog friendly the place is). I ordered my usual, a decaf oat milk cortado with lavender and honey. The barista at the front was very kind, welcoming, and fun-loving. While the drink was a little bit on the sharp/ bitter side in terms of espresso, when I asked for additional lavender syrup, it 'softened' the taste of the drink, making it more enjoyable for me. Though there are just a couple tables in the shop, I was able to snag one close to a window and enjoy my coffee while letting the sun hit my face from the window, and still having a birds eye view of everyone that came in and out of the coffee shop. There was a good flow of customers that came in and out of the shop, but most were to-go orders and the space was just moderately noisy (enough to feel comforted but not overwhelmed by the sounds of others that were coming and going). When I went to return the cup/ plate and ask for a small cup of water, the new barista that was up front this time was more curt but I shrugged it off and decided to stay for another half hour to enjoy the space. While it wasn't one of my favorite coffee shops I visited during my stay in Minneapolis, I think that In The Loop Coffee Co is a quaint neighborhood spot, great for ordering coffee to-go, enjoying a small bite during brunch hours, reading/ studying, catching up on messages, people watching, or the like. It's a charming place, and I'd still recommend it to anyone that lives or works close by. read more

Underrated friendly neighborhood coffee shop! I live super close so In The Loop has been the go-to whenever I want a unique, specialty coffee and they haven't disappointed. The baristas have all been great and I love their signature drink options, especially the Earl Grey Creamette which uses caramel and is delightful. Their pastries also look great - I haven't tried any yet but have been meaning to. I was excited to try this place, and upon entry, it gave off a quaint, authentic vibe. However, when it actually came to the coffee, it was subpar. My first time visiting this coffee shop I ordered ahead online and did not indicate which egg bite I wanted. They called and when I did not answer they made the decision to make me vegetarian egg bites. I really appreciated the care and communication in making that decision when I came in to pick up my food. The cherry on top? This place is so cute! I came in to use the printer kiosk, and she was super helpful and stopped what she was doing to explain it to me. The London Fog drink she made was outstanding and she was a delight to talk to! I'm in the service industry so it is a breath of fresh air to experience such great service. In The Loop is doing it right, every get out your notepad and take notes! I was blown away by how friendly and welcoming the staff was at In the Loop. They are dog friendly (inside too!) which put them on my radar. My friends and I went for a coffee on a Saturday morning and brought the pups along. The staff welcomed the dogs and even gave them treats! They had a ton of options for drinks and they had food! I got a miel and it was mixed just right. Small and cozy is how I would describe this coffee shop. Great place for a first date for grabbing a cup of coffee. You may be greeted by a dog wearing a MN sweater, waiting in line with their owner. The woman working today, was very kind and let us know that they were only open until 2pm. We were welcome to stay while she cleaned up. I had the French roast.
