Grilled chicken salad
Benjamin S.

In the loop coffee is a hidden spot that offers food (made to order & daily specials), standard coffee fare, limited indoor seating, and friendly staff. FOOD: I tried their salad (I know not a traditional coffee shop option). While it was nothing overwhelming, all the vegetables were fresh and the additions made the salad more interesting. And reasonably priced. Other options on the menu included Paninis, and they also had daily specials which rotate, including: meatball sub, etc. AMBIANCE: cozy and comfortable. Limited seating but perfectly adequate. SERVICE: friendly and accommodating. Nothing much to report. Bathrooms are available in the building this shop is attached to. Parking is limited in North Loop but during certain hours you can get free street parking and otherwise there is paid street parking and a lot across the street.

Banana bread latte

I've been enjoying the new interest of banana coffee and was excited to try the banana bread latte here! I ordered ahead and service was great and really friendly. Picking up was easy and all our drinks came quickly. The latte itself wasn't my favorite, the banana flavor itself was a little faint, but it was a decent latte overall. I'd love to come back and try other specialty drinks soon!

I absolutely loved this place. I came to work on some homework and ordered a maple latte which was absolutely delicious. The barista (I believe her name was Brenda maybe?) answered all my questions and swapped out ingredients for non dairy alternatives. Staff was very friendly and it was obvious they had a sea of regulars who knew each other and the staff. There are dog pictures all over the walls, which is an A in my book. The only drawback I noticed is that when it isn't warm out, this may not be the best place to take a large group because it is relatively small, but they had a patio that looked pretty spacious but it wasn't open because it was too cold. I will definitely be back.

Lovely coffee shop in the North Loop area!! Love that they have seasonal drinks for each month. Service was excellent, as were our drinks. Also dog friendly :)

Excellent espressos and they have nitro on tap too. Very friendly staff and so many pictures of good doggos!

Lots of seating outside on a patio and a couple tables inside too. Cozy atmosphere with lots of animal photos on the walls. They accidentally made the wrong drink and gave it to us for free. Super nice baristas and the coffee was great. It's the perfect spot to walk around north loop or the river in the summer.

Looking for a dog-friendly spot for a good cup of coffee? This is your spot! I was dogsitting and needed a spot to wait for a friend - found this on yelp, and I understand why it is popular, I ordered tea, but my sister loved her latte. Excellent, friendly service that went above and beyond, esp. with our yippy dog!

Great service and yummy quesadilla! The mocha was on point and the earthy matcha was okay. Great feel to the place, can be a bit crowded.

I came on the weekends because I saw the reviews. The service is excellent very friendly. I sat outside. In the shade of the trees. Few cars very quiet Street on the weekend. Café con Leche she was as expected. You see bikers and locals here.

Delicious! Cheers!

The Ube Latte is well balanced between sweet Ube flavor and coffee and cream. The mixed momo platter comes with meat filled and potato filled dumplings that come with a spicy sauce for dipping. They are perfectly plump, warm and delicious and lend themselves well to a cold day. Absolutely recommend this hidden neighborhood gem if you're in the area (or even if you're not! It's worth it!)

They had a few cute items for sale, like momo merch, stickers and more. I got the black sesame latte which was strong but good. We also ordered potato and chive momos and they were decent. I think it could have used a bit more flavor, a bit starchy tasting. But the soy sauce helps a tiny bit. Would for sure come back to check out more. I was a bit shocked that they had to put signs on some of the lower tables for people to not put their feet on them. In a cafe/food establishment that should be common sense but I definitely get it. As it was busy it was a bit loud but I really like the vibes and aesthetic of this cafe!

Caffetto is the quintessential Minneapolis coffee shop--they've got tasty, reasonably priced drinks…read more(including a robust selection of teas both hot and iced), good hours, and a real fun punk cafe vibe (lots of fun graffiti and vintage pinball machines). I think Caffetto kind of corners a market that no one else has by being open so late--most coffee shops are barely open past noon, and they're open until midnight! I've personally spent many a late night there finishing up work--it's a really cozy atmosphere, and the selection of pinball machines in the basement are the perfect study break activity. The staff are all great and even when there's a line, they get through it quick and are still able to offer great recommendations--while I usually prefer an iced green tea with no ice, I've tried the lattes, cold press, Thai coffee, and hot chocolate and have genuinely never had a bad drink here. The only thing is to make sure you watch your step if you're walking in the basement--even though it has seating and pinball and the bathroom, it's more of an unfinished space with uneven flooring and I personally rolled my ankle and fell there last year haha.

I jetted from work early to try this coffee shop because I needed a change of scenery and…read more.. well... it's Tuesday. :) I was surprised to find that the cafe was packed at 2:30 in the afternoon, but got lucky enough to snag an intimate table in the corner, perfect for reading a book in peace! I had a triple decaf almond milk latte that tasted like it was caffeinated to me but didn't give me the buzz I'm so addicted to, that's when you know it's a good decaf. I love the coziness and the unique artwork in Caffetto. I look forward to coming back at an earlier hour to feed my addiction. But it's great to know I have a go to coffee shop for those afternoon cravings where the decaf tastes just as delightful! UPDATE- 2 hours later: there's additional seating and a pinball machine room in the basement, glad I went downstairs to the bathroom.

The miso cortado was delicious and really stood out, and they have a great variety of specialty drinks. The service was also extremely kind and welcoming, which I genuinely appreciated. That said, the space didn't quite live up to the hype. The location felt a little unfinished. Minimal decor, unfinished flooring, and no truly cozy seating made it feel less like a place you'd want to settle into for a while. While they encourage people to linger and don't offer Wi-Fi (which I respect), the ambiance doesn't quite support that intention. It felt more like a quick in-and-out stop, even though that doesn't seem to be their goal. The atmosphere was chill, with vinyl records playing in the background, which was a nice touch. I just wish the overall design and seating matched that relaxed, stay-awhile vibe. Great coffee and kind staff, but the space itself didn't fully align with the experience I was hoping for.

They have a lot of super intriguing drinks that I can't wait to get back and try, but I had to have the black coffee for my first stop. They only do pour overs and mine was great. And so were the beans I took home. It's really nice to see a coffee shop that cares about their beans more than syrupy drinks. The shop itself is small but has some nice seating options. One thing to note is that they don't have WiFi so this place isn't really meant for the work from home crowd. I can't wait to get back here

The interior design is stunning and the fireplace adds a cozy touch. It's always packed no matter the time of day, which shows how popular it is. Unfortunately, the coffee has been consistently disappointing for me. For such a great space, the drinks just don't match the atmosphere. Service has also been a letdown. It feels rushed and transactional, and the staff does not come across as very friendly or welcoming, which takes away from the experience. They do have a nice selection of baked goods, including Cardigan Donuts, which is a plus. Parking is typical for the North Loop. It can be a bit difficult to find right nearby, but there are plenty of options if you're willing to walk a few blocks. Overall, it's a gorgeous space and a great place to meet up or sit for a bit, but the coffee quality and service are what hold this location back for me which is sad because I love other FRGMT locations.

I was so happy to see so much support for this local spot! The servers were so friendly and helpful during my order and pick up process! Incredibly LGBTQ+ friendly. I HAD to go with the Go Bananas option on my iced latte, their proprietary blend of banana, vanilla, and hazelnut that leaves you with the most beautiful flavor!
