I don't like to be the odd one out and not give this place a great review, but unfortunately I have to be. I'm new in town and used Yelp to help guide me. This place seemed like the one. I called on a Saturday morning and they got me in within the hour. So far so good. The salon it's self is quite nice and clean. Awesome. The person who did my nails was very nice. My initial thought on the shellac and fill was just ok. Sticker shock set in when I went to pay. $40 for a fill and shellac is crazy. That's double of what I use to pay and it was higher quality. Anyway, 10 days in the shellac is chipping. It's over acrylic so it should not chip. And I can't get over the shellac all up on my cuticle. I won't return here. read more

I am trying out different nail salons in my area and this place had a great review here on yelp so I decided to give it a try. My nails turned out just "ok" I got talked into upgrading my pedicure and the massage was awful!! She put the cooling gel on my legs and sat talking on her cell phone, I guess she was killing time instead of doing the massage. Disappointed. I was in town to visit my daughter. She was at work so thought I'd get a pedicure. She suggested this salon. I got in right away but I felt rushed. I don't know if she's new but I was really unhappy with my pedicure. My feet aren't pretty anyway because I run but where I normally go at least the nails are clipped and buffed straight and my toes look much nicer than this. After being in this area for a few years now, I finally found a great nail salon! Sylvia and Julie are wonderful -- I normally get a gel manicure every 3 weeks and the past few times I've gotten the ombre glitter on my nails which is perfect every time. Pedicures are great as well and they let you know pricing up front (they not try to add on things without telling you the price). Salon is clean and the staff is friendly and does a great job. Kiwi did an amazing job on my silk wrap manicure today. Silk wraps cost a little more but I needed to add support to my natural nails since they kept peeling and bending back. Don't like acrylics because my nail bed is too big and they end up looking too fake (like paddles). Silk wraps have a much more natural look. See photo. I went in today for the first time and was super impressed from the moment I walked in tell the moment I walked out!! The place is super well kept and didn't smell like pure nail polish, which was awesome! We literally called 10 minutes before we went in got an appointment and when we walked in got seated!! I got Andy and he really pays attention to detail and cares about what your nails look like. He take his time to do it right!! That ment that he stayed an hour after the salon closed and he was super nice and I really enjoyed talking to him!! After getting my nails done I was waiting for my momma and she got khanh. He had some awesome ideas for designs and he ended up giving me an extra really cute cherry blossom on both my thumbs. Came in as walk-in mid-day Friday and they were busy!! But, no issues getting me in for a pedicure straight away. I have never been to this nail salon before but decided to give it a try. The owner is nice and apologized for the wait because we had a reservation. The wait didn't bother me but the service was not worth it. I asked for a matte finish with a gold stripe. Couldn't get either of them. I showed the girl the picture of what I wanted and she must have forgotten because I asked her if she was doing the matte coat and she just panicked and asked why I didn't tell her. Ok miscommunication I get but my nails did not come out matte and they didn't have gold so I paid for something I didn't want. My nails look good but not THAT good - I can get the same thing with better selections at Magic Nails for $65. First timer at In Style Nails a week ago. How can you not come here with all the amazing reviews. I was greeted when I walked in, I told a lady I had a appointment for a gel mani and pedicure. One of their nail techs told me to pick a color but I told her I was looking for a specific color. She didn't even hesitate and helped me find the exact color I was looking for! I wish I remembered her name to give her a shout out. My only reasoning on giving In Style a 4/5 star review is because as soon I got in the chair I felt VERY rushed. I was asked if I would mind if they can do my gel mani at the same time as my pedi and I said that I don't mind...I regretted it immediately! The man who asked me this said it was because they had another appointment coming in soon. I completely understand that this is a business and that I'm not the only person in there. Honestly, I don't think appointments mean anything anymore. I truly look forward to getting my nails done because I don't get them done on a regular basis. I paid $66 (not including tip) for my services and I didn't appreciate being rushed out. With all that being said, I do recommend this nail salon. read more

Well I decided to give this a second chance before a review. I hate to say it's terrible first time I came I had my face waxed lady took half my eyebrow off and cut my face. She did a full set and cut me all under my nails they where bleeding in front of her. I felt maybe I just got a bad tech came back today for a pedi bad service. Man is arguing with another lady about him being late. Made me feel super uncomfortable. Also he didnt even scrub my feet like at all because hes in a hurry. Slapped sea salt scrub and just washed it off. I just had him polish I wanted no massage just wanted out. I had my same nail lady back home for 13 years so I'm not new to this industry at all. I was in the area and needed to have my nails done, I chose this location after a quick yelp search showed that I was just across the street and it had great reviews. I called and was told I could come right in for a pedicure and full set. Okay off to a great start. Upon walking in, I was quickly greeted and once I told him I had just called, he even remembered my name. I was directed to choose a color and it would be just a moment. This place has more color options than many places combined, and they are well categorized. After I chose the color for my toes, I was directed to the pedicure chair. I chose the $35 pedicure, it was okay but was very rushed. Also she only applied one coat and no top coat. I was then told to got wait in a different chair for the nail technician. It went further down hill from there. I decided on the pink and white acrylics. I like the thickness and she got the shape I Kay on some of my nails but I'm going to have to go get them all redone because the are all different lengths. I pointed out the difference to her several times. She said she'd cut one down even thought it looked fine to her. It was still much longer than the rest. By the last time I told her another nail was too long, she just snapped and said "it's same". At this point I resigned myself and just hoped after she finished filing and buffing,they would even out. They didn't and the end result was $40 plus tip for a full nail set of varying lengths that will have to be fixed somewhere else. When a customer tells you repeatedly that the nails are not even, you should listen and if you can't see it, get another technician to help. read more

I've been here twice now - acrylic full set and a rebase. I'm going to review the store and the tech. Store: I was greeted by an adorable young man who asked a few questions about what I needed and then explained the regular vs gel polish options they had. The place was a bit overwhelming at first. Very large space and many folks working and receiving treatments. It didn't take long to see this was a well oiled machine. I was considered an 'open' which meant that I didn't have a specific tech I worked with. There wasn't fighting over me, there wasn't a sense that someone else was getting short changed because they were trying to churn and burn through clients. The next available tech took me on. I noticed that they didn't go the cheap route with lights and chairs and things. For instance, the chairs are comfortable and the desks all have OttLights. The gel lights are built into the desk. No clumsy moving of it or having it sit awkwardly. You just slide your hand in front of you. It's the simple things like that that stand out to me. Tech: My tech was Tony. Let me tell you...I've had my nails done by many many people in both MN and CO. Tony has been the absolute best! Our communication was a little bit of a struggle because it gets loud in the store and my hearing isn't great. Pair that with Tony's English not being the best and we made quite the pair. However, we certainly were able to make it work. I just felt badly for making him repeat himself. I told him I have a real problem when it comes to lifting. We discussed shape and away we went. Awesome points: 1. Nails were not grinded down to nothing. He just took off a little bit. 2. He took extra care in pushing the acrylic onto my nail to help with the lifting. *update* almost no lifting after 2 appts!!! 3. They were shaped perfectly (no duck bill effect). 4. The acrylic and paint, were SO close to the skin...but didn't touch! I was blown away at his ability to do this. 5. Finished nails were thin and zero 'edges'. Ya know what I mean? Where there is that one corner that snags on everything. None of those. 6. When I went in for the rebase, he shaved back my cuticles!!!! Major points for that! 7. He was BEYOND precise, took great care AND was quick. I honestly didn't know until Tony that you could have almost perfect nails and not take hours to get them. I just settled for good nails and feeling like just another person in a chair. No more. From the other reviews I've read on this place, it sounds like there are several amazing techs. I have worked with Tony twice now and I can happily report that he should be added to the list. read more

Came here based on yelp reviews....got in right away and my technician was nice. The pedicure wasn't bad, not awesome, but ok. She did a decent job of filing, trimming the cuticles & applying polish. She attempted to scrub where I have small calluses but the effort was very minimal and did nothing. The polish covered the majority of my nails, however there was definitely some missed spots on the sides. The worst part about this experience was the shellac manicure. My nails weren't filed evenly, I actually went home and filed them myself, it seems like she just randomly dragged the file over my nails. I believe you are supposed to clean the nails with alcohol prior to application to make the polish adhere better....this was never done. The polish was applied uneven and very thick. There was large, very evident gaps on the sides of the nails at at the tips. Sadly, the polish didn't even stay for a week! It started chipping at about day 5 and it could easily be pulled off on day 6 without damaging my nails as a normal shellac would. Pathetic. Finally, regarding hygiene, while performing the pedicure the instruments were in a very small cup of barbacide (not sure what the ratio should be) and that was brought over for my manicure as well. However, to trim my fingernail cuticles she pulled out some nippers from the drawer, used them and then replaced them without cleaning them at all. For filing and scrubbing the feet they don't use new files/scrubs on each client. These last items are definitely a hazard and have the potential to cause fungal infections if previous clients are infected. All in all, I was pretty disappointed with wasting my hard-earned money for such a poor job (I spent about $65). I'll just have to keep searching. read more

I came in 3 weeks ago before vacation to get my nails done. I typically only get my nails done a few times a year and always want them to be perfect as I don't splurge a lot on manicures. Ann was absolutely awesome and recommended the powder instead of gel because of the condition of my nails (my job is hard on my hands). It was a little more than I originally wanted to pay but she assured me I would be more happy with the powder and it was worth it and she was right! I have to say my nails have never felt stronger and the powder has not chipped or anything! Definitely my kind of place and I can't wait to get my nails done again. read more

I have been going to Instyle Nails for years. I highly suggest calling ahead to make an appointment as they are very popular and very busy. The owners are very attentive and compassionate. Everyone makes an effort to get to know you and remember your name. The selection of polish, shellac, add-ons and services is extraordinary, the quality miles above competition. I frequent the shellac manicure and regular polish pedicure and have never had issues with chipping. My nails last a solid 3-4 weeks before they are so long I can't stand it. Every technician has their own specialty. Kahn is my go-to for shellac. His attention to detail and patience with helping me on my "nail vision" is unparalleled. Every once in a while I like to treat my daughter to a mani/pedi, they DO charge full adult price for this. I don't agree with this as her nails are so tiny and the polish is gone by end of day. The woman who did my nails was awful and unprofessional! My nails are uneven, bumpy and completely different lengths. I broke my nail and had to go back and she rushed to fix it the back of the nail is bumped out. One nail is oval shaped one is boxy and one is slanted to the right not to mention the ungodly thickness of them! I could have done a better job! To top it off, I brought my son with me whom extremely well behaved, he say next to me the whole time. She told me to leave him home next time. Excuse me! How unprofessional! I've been going here for the last year. I love the service they provide! I recently had the opportunity to get a mani/pedi at the Woodhouse Day Spa treated by my girlfriend. I chose to get the pedi only because the shellac mani I get here last so long, I'd rather pay to have my nails done here. I see Kiwi and Mimi, they are both terrific, but I've never had a bad service with anyone else. I would like to make a plea to all those reading this: if someone is having a service done, don't interrupt. I paid for that time and I'm trying to enjoy myself. Today two different women interrupted my service to make an appointment and to discuss the appointment following mine. I called to make my appointment, you don't need to speak directly to Kiwi to make your appointments. And to the lady with the wedding that she's going to.. you can discuss your colors during your appointment. Kiwi was VERY rushed today and looked very frustrated.
