Heather was a life saver, a friend, and truly the best person to ever help us plan our wedding. Heather's rates are incredibly affordable for her expertise and connections. My husband proposed to me in February 2021 with the goal of us getting married in September 2021. I was very overwhelmed with the idea of planning a wedding an did not know what to do. So I procrastinated until about the end of April when I realized I was in way over my head. We contacted Heather based off of previous reviews and affordability. After hiring Heather, she took the reins on the wedding and kicked it into high gear. She gave us so many referrals and contacts from photographers to caterers to wedding runner suggestions. She was so professional and knowledgeable about each task and partnered with me in getting it all done. Not only is she knowledgeable, but she is ORGANIZED! She has a master spreadsheet which is KILLER for anyone who loves a good Excel. She had everything itemized and thought out to the button on when/where to do things. With her by my side, I knew my wedding was going to be perfect. She helped with design/vision ideas and with calling vendors up. We contacted Heather at a short notice that we were going to walk-through our venue and she was there ready and armed with her iPad to take notes and show visual ideas. Heather can also act as a day-of-coordinator or will have one of her experienced professionals assist. Victoria was our DOC and was absolutely the sweetest. On the day of the wedding, she bought me coffee and effortlessly jumped into it all. When my matron of honor's dress ripped in half, she didn't even bat an eye! She was incredible! I will never forget our conversations with each other either -- it felt like we were good friends by the end of the day and I had only known her for 10 hours! We were already leaning toward hiring a coordinator but then our venue (Ma Maison) required us to have one so we contacted their entire list of preferred vendors for coordinators and we are so glad we did because that's how we found Heather from Vintage & Lace!! Of all of the planners and coordinators we talked to, I was just immediately drawn to how warm, friendly, AND organized she is. Heather is an absolute pro with countless weddings under her belt, but still so kind and easy to talk to. Then, despite planning our wedding from another city, Heather made it SO easy and smooth. We technically only booked her for day-of coordination (with full communication/access the month prior) but from day one, she was still always available via call, email, text, whathaveyou, no matter when or what kind of (ridiculous, I'm sure) questions I had. We didn't actually meet Heather in person until our rehearsal the day before our wedding, and she was an absolute ROCK STAR the entire weekend. She managed to wrangle our large wedding party (14 bridesmaids and groomsmen) and all of our family (including bilingual and non-native English speakers, as well as divorced family) with both grace and authority. It's also worth noting we had several extras (a Chinese tea ceremony before our wedding ceremony, two large shuttles to transport our guests to and from Dripping Springs, getting Whataburger delivered to our venue for a late night snack) and Heather handled EVERYTHING seamlessly. Anything I thought of or had concerns about, she handled before I even voiced them to her! If anything went wrong on our wedding day, I have no idea what it was, because Heather was ON it. She was also incredibly thoughtful and adaptable, from my mom wanting to move the cake-cutting earlier, to making sure all of our belongings were packed away and that we had plenty of snacks and drinks in our getaway car. Her day-of assistant, Jasmine, was also so helpful and sweet. They both made the entire weekend just a wonderful, fun, amazing experience where we got to fully enjoy getting married and celebrating with family and friends. I can't recommend Heather and Vintage & Lace more highly -- BOOK HER NOW! I won't say "you won't regret it," but rather, you'll regret it if you don't! She was a calm voice in the crazy that is the lead up to your wedding. She was also great to talk to about what was worth it to splurge on or that wouldn't be as important as memorable. Day of, Ally totally killed it. I didn't worry about ANYTHING. My florist had a new assistant and she didn't put enough ribbon on my bouquet and Ally flew into action and helped my bridesmaids locate my Tide Pen and the assistant to fix it right away (green from the stems got on my dress!) Ally made sure that we always had a drink in our hand (even though we barely got to drink any of them) and did such a great job corralling our insane family and hard partying guests. She also, provided pillar candles throughout the ceremony space that really pulled together our whimsically romantic theme. We are including a few of the initial pictures but hope to add in the floral rings and bouquet at a later date. They were gorgeous! Throughout the time leading up to the event, Beth was very communicative with us. We especially were impressed with her quoting process. She sent out a questionnaire and then proceeded to provide a visual and dollar breakdown of her vision for us including possible types of flowers (seasonality could vary the flower type). The initial process really solidified our decision to choose her services. We felt that she actually took the time to think through our needs and budget before we had even signed a contract with her. That second place never stood a chance. Hummingbird House was our venue from the moment we got into the Bridal Suite and met Danny. I remember emailing him from the parking lot of that last venue asking him to send us the contract. We couldn't dare let anyone grab our date by wasting more time with other places. Even our puppy Vladimir loved it! We may be five months behind in our review, but my husband, Kai, and I had a better day than we could have ever imagined for our wedding. The weather was amazing, (I'm giving Courtney that credit) the venue was set up and arranged perfectly, and we never missed the important moments of our wedding thank to Courtney's ninja-like day of coordinating skills. She knew just when to be there to help us and when to let us sit back and soak it all in. Thank you to the amazing team. As a coordinator myself, I don't know how they do this with the small staff that they have. Goes to show that it's not about the number of staff members, rather, it's about the quality and heart of the people who work there. The bridal suite was not only perfect for the bridal party to get ready but also to allow the blushing bride some alone time before the ceremony. The weather cooperated but the event staff were prepared with tents if the ceremony needed to be moved at the last minute. The bathrooms were even stocked with emergency essentials should they be needed. A few of the guests had mobility challenges and the rustic walkways and loose gravel did present a bit of a challenge for some, but otherwise zero complaints.

A couple months before the wedding I was sent a form to complete (that I had to reach out to get) about which specific songs I wanted played during each part of the ceremony. I sent it back and everything seemed like it was fine. The day of the wedding rolls around, and I can't really speak to the quality of the songs since I didn't hear anything except the song I was to walk down to. Which, let me preface this- I chose this specific song because my grandfather used to sing it to my grandmother who recently passed away. I get up there and hear that my song is already ending! They had switched my song with the wedding party's! I was pretty flustered and before I could ask them to just start again I had been shoved down the aisle by my wedding planner (whole other story). An informal house concert in the backyard with an adoring audience, and great musicians having a great time performing and improvising accompaniments. I forgot how powerful live performances are with the spontaneity and joy that goes with it. It was a perfect date night with my wife.
