Hard to go wrong with In-N-Out as it is always consistent with the same pros and cons. The service is great and as efficient as can be, and you're always going to get a tasty meal with quality ingredients. On the flip side, you're going to either be waiting a long time in the drive thru or a long time in the restaurant lobby because it feels like there's not a second of the day where the place isn't packed and surrounded by hungry customers. So much so that I ate in the restaurant and when I went to leave my car was boxed in for an additional 15 minutes just to leave the parking lot with the drive thru traffic. Outside of the crowds I rarely run into issues, other than the ketchup dispenser seems to be empty whenever I go. The popularity is for good reason and it can still be worth the effort, but I would recommend, if you're in a rush, parking closer to other restaurants in the next lot over and walking into the lobby and ordering to go. read more

We waited 57 minutes for cold food, unmixed shake and terrible service. DON'T go inside the restaurant on 5th. Drive thru gets preference over those who go inside. Cars going through the drive the in 1/3 the amount of time - not an exaggeration. I'm sorry to those without the choice. It shouldn't be legal yo treat people who can afford vehicles better than those who can't, or choose to do better for the planet, or sit down to eat. Customers shared with customers why the wait was exceptionally long, not the staff who could have warned me when I ordered that it would take 45-60 minutes. I would have gone elsewhere. I didn't find out until I was 30 minutes into the wait from another disgruntled customer. I'm sad because In n Out is one of only 2 fast food places we used to visit. We won't be back. Our favorite is no longer our favorite after the last couple visits, but tonight was by far the worst service, food, and overall experience. The restaurant in sparks was the next closest, however, the drive through was always a disaster to navigate and wait times were significant. Food was always good. The one south of town has a more steady speed and drive through experience, and the staff is great. Food was average. This one is fast, orderly, clean and the staff is very friendly. The food is always how we order, without a single mistake ever being made. And it's FRESH! I have heard rumors that every In-N-out has its own little stigma, or things they are known for. Always solid. They've got good fast service even when it's busy. My go to is a Double Double Animal Style with chopped chilies. Sometimes the chilies are really spicy, sometimes they're mild. We had a strawberry shake with no strawberry flavor, we asked if we could get strawberries added and the guy at the drive through said, no we don't do that. I don't really get why people get so excited about this place. It's a thin burger on a plain bun, with nothing exciting on it. I find it irritating that there is a "secret" menu". Put it all on your regular menu and I bet your line would be even longer. Ended up here again, as my husband insisted on a drive up eat in the car dinner. Husband as usual, had the number two. I decided I would try to make the situation better by trying something from the secret menu. After reading reviews and searching. I found the "flying Dutchmen" interesting, however it appears preparation varies by location, and reviews state you must be specific on how you want it prepared. The grilled onions replacing the bun sounded great but from pictured reviews, it appears it's not always served that way, they just plop a cheesey burger on your tray, which doesn't look good. I dried the number one "protein style" (which means lettuce wrapped, no bun). I added chopped chilies and grilled onions. It was very...wet...and the paper wrapper became soggy, and part of my sandwich. Picking paper from my teeth was not fun, and very messy. The flavor was good, minus the paper. I think this will be my go to, but I'll bring a fork and ask for more napkins. They get 4 stars because my husband and other people think this is better than Burger King or Wendy's. See the attached picture but the burger bun and the meat were cold. On top of that the meat had marbled pink coloring throughout. The fries were hot so clearly the burger was made first haphazardly and then had to wait for the fries to finish cooking. The staff is top notch here. They are always so friendly and on top of things. It actually seems like they want to be here and do their job which makes a huge difference.
