My Mac is my lifeline, so I needed to get it fixed as soon as possible. Thanks to Yelp, I was able to request quotes from multiple repair shops. Alex responded to my request on a Thursday evening, which I really appreciated. I received one other quote, but this shop was closer and significantly more affordable at $350 instead of $600. The next day, I spoke with Ahmad and paid in advance so they could order the replacement part. They informed me that it would arrive sometime between Monday and Wednesday. Later, they even called me back to confirm that I wanted a Grade A screen, explaining that while it wasn't completely brand new, it was still covered by a one-year warranty. If I preferred a brand-new screen, it would cost an additional $50. I asked Ahmad for his honest opinion on which option was best for me, and he recommended the Grade A screen over the new one. I trusted his advice and went with that option. I dropped off my Mac on Wednesday at 9 AM, and by 11:30 AM, I received a call saying it was ready for pickup. Ahmad made the entire process as smooth and painless as possible, and I can't express how much I appreciated that. I highly recommend this place!

Tyler assured me that the job would be completed by 4 PM, which is why I agreed to move forward and paid for the service upfront. I even tipped Tyler as a gesture of appreciation for good customer service, expecting that my order would be handled responsibly. Unfortunately, I later received a call saying that the job cannot be completed until Monday. This is completely unacceptable. I came to the store early specifically to ensure the job would be done today, and now my schedule and plans have been disrupted because of a lack of follow-through. If I had known from the start that same-day service was not possible, I would have gone elsewhere. What makes this worse is that this seems to be part of a recurring issue at this location. Several recent reviews mention service and reliability problems, which suggests this is not an isolated incident but a pattern. OfficeMax is a national brand, and with that comes the expectation of professionalism, accountability, and dependable service. Paying for a service, being promised a same-day completion, and then having that promise broken is unacceptable and undermines trust in the brand. I would appreciate it if someone from corporate could contact me to address this situation. Please provide the appropriate corporate customer service or escalation contact so this matter can be resolved. I hope this feedback helps improve service at this location, as experiences like mine should not happen at any OfficeMax store.

If I could give negative stars I would. I have never experienced anything like this. I am not a guy to write reviews or be a high maintenance customer, but this next level failure of a retailer. I will be filing in small claims court. Take your business elsewhere! I had the extended warranty on a dryer, belt failed but the warranty tech said that the dryer's bottom was damaged on delivery and he could not repair it. I had the dryer "professionally" delivered and installed by queen city. I made multiple calls, mostly getting voicemails. Eventually, I spoke with 3 different customer service people who shuffled me around. One said she was getting with the warranty company for a second opinion. (I later called the warranty company and they had not had any communications with Queen city. They escalated the matter and attempted to call QC for input and they did not answer or respond to messages.). After a week I went into the store and asked to see the store manager. I spoke with Kyle who acted like he was going to help. He failed to call back after 6 days and 3 messages. I finally caught him answering the phone and he said "they" told him to "step back and let the office manager handle it". He gave me the office manager's number. Several more days, and me leaving a couple voicemails for the office manager and I have not had a reply. I will be spending the $60 to file a small claims case at the county courthouse. Dont trouble yourself with this place, too many retailers who will at least make a half-hearted attempt at a resolution of a problem.
