I was incredibly impressed by the expertise and troubleshooting diligence exhibited by Kermit and the team at SHA. As a female, I usually hate speaking with auto shops because you either get dismissed or talked down to. Quite the contrary! Kermit walked me through the issue, was transparent along the way, showed me photos to review the work that had been done, and exhibited excellent customer service. I kindly asked a worker if they had a time estimate as I had another appointment for a different car at 3pm. The guy seemed so annoyed that I even talked to him at all, said he'd go as the mechs. He never gave me a time estimate, just ignored me. So, I patiently wait until 2pm, seeing that my car still hasn't moved from where I parked it. I ended up asking a different worker if I could get my keys back and leave. He was much nicer and helpful than the other guy. ONLY THEN DID THEY MOVE MY CAR. An hour after the appointment and a request for the keys back and they finally decided to start working on my car. 30 minutes later they were done. Second guy apologized and told me they gave me a discount but didn't tell me how much it was the original total was. I'm never going back.

I was told my oil filter housing cap needed to be replaced at $85 because the previous shop had overtightened it and it would likely crack during removal. I specifically asked them to remove it while I watched. It came off smoothly and cleanly, with no cracking. I was then told it was "leaking" and had a "hairline crack." After they ordered the part they said it would be $80 to replace it. While waiting, I told them my husband felt that price was excessive and that we did not want it replaced. I was told it had already been done. Immediately afterward, they offered to reduce the price by $20. I requested the old part. Upon inspection, there was no crack -- hairline or otherwise. This experience felt like clear upselling and pressure tactics. The shifting price and sudden discount only added to my concern. I expect honesty and transparency when servicing my vehicle, and I did not receive it here. I cannot recommend this location.

They tightened both free of charge, topped off what oil I had lost, washed my windshield, and even gave me sound advice, and a sample of something I could use to help with my engine.
