Yum! We went here pretty much every day of our stay at Islander on the Beach. Service was always fast and friendly and they really do take great care to make your drink delicious, fresh, and they even draw little designs on the top. Their bagels are great and their cinnamon roll pastry is so good! I recommend their mocha, cappuccino, and latte. Great place read more

I had a mocha and my boyfriend had the Nutella latte. Both were good but not amazing, very subtle chocolate flavors (more subtle in the mocha than the Nutella). I appreciated the discount for bringing a personal mug. Decent coffee but pricey for the quality. The espresso in my latte tasted bitter. I did like that they steamed the milk for iced lattes before pouring it over ice! Tucked away by Kauai Shores and Islander on the Beach hotels, this may be a little hard to find or out of the way, but worth the effort if you're looking for good coffee with knowledgeable baristas. Had about 10 choices of beans for my Chemex pourover. Islander hotel sharing their parking lot gives guests one small drip coffee per day here, which is a nice touch for both. Seating is outside only and not tons of it, most people probably get coffee to go. Take your coffee and walk on the nearby beach! read more

Appreciate local cafes who roast their beans in house and can please a coffee lover's palate (coffee from coffee chains aren't legit). Highly recommend this hidden gem tucked in between Coconut Marketplace and the little resort oceanside. The owner/barista was very friendly and made our drinks to perfection. My brother in law had an iced coffee, sis and I started off with a Cortado followed by a lavender latte for me and a vanilla.almomd latte for her. They make their own syrups and offer non dairy nut milks. Kudos for offering Stevia sugar substitute as well! We stayed at the islander and this was maybe a 30 second walk from our room which was lucky for us! We tried a few spots nearby for coffee and/or breakfast and this quickly became our go to spot for coffee. The baristas were very knowledgeable and friendly and willing to accommodate us to make sure we got the type of coffee we liked. They have a small selection of baked goods that were fresh and delicious. This was definitely the most reasonably priced place to get coffee nearby and the quality was much better than other places we visited. read more

TLDR; lots of vegan options (coffee and pastries/banana bread), high quality coffee with no aftertaste; great customer service! Definitely recommend. My husband found this place for us. He was brought in due it being in close proximity to us AND the amazing reviews; it did not disappoint. We've been in Kaua'i for 3 full days so far and have come here every morning. I'm vegan and a few reasons I love this place: they use paper straws and their plastic cups are 100% biodegradable (corn plastic); they allowed us to reuse our cup from them from the first day (since we're close and planned on coming here multiple times, we wanted to reuse our cup as much as we can. They said they also will pour into your own cup, just make sure it's washed!); they have hemp, almond, and soy milk, as well as the regular varieties of regular milk for those who aren't vegan; their pastries and banana bread are vegan - they also have other non vegan breakfast items such as several different types of bagels and cream cheese. I tried the banana bread and strawberry pastry; the banana bread was good with chocolate chips, but not that moist, especially compared to the strawberry lilikoi pastry which was so perfectly moist and flavorful (sweet with a little bit of tartness) - it was so good, I was skeptical how it could be so readily available and vegan! Lastly, the coffee I've gotten every day is an iced soy latte with caramel. It was fresh (they roast their own beans), there was no bitter after taste, and it was a perfect balance between the caramel flavor and coffee. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but I have enough experience with coffee to know how coffee from a low quality coffee place that is rushed and focuses on quantity versus quality (such as some of those big chains) tastes like they over roast their beans, leaving a burnt aftertaste or they purely try to mask their coffee by overdoing syrups and the milk. This place is definitely the opposite and has a huge focus on quality. Also, I usually can always taste the soy milk in coffee, where this place somehow perfectly blends it in. Its really tough to complain when your on Kauai. But if rising early and need a strong dose of C for your B, then this is NOT the place to come to. I would've rather had a bitter, Starbucks dark roast that was at least robust and caffeinated.
