The last time I went was Wednesday, July 29, and while I had an okay time, the DJ really wasn't all that. My biggest concern, though, is the liquor. My usual drink is Grey Goose or Tito's with soda water. I drink this regularly at home and at other places without waking up with a headache. Both times I visited The Record Room, I specifically ordered Grey Goose with soda water, and both times I woke up with a significant headache. The first time, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured it could have been a coincidence. That's actually one of the reasons I was willing to go back. Unfortunately, the exact same thing happened after my second visit. I obviously cannot confirm what was actually poured, but because this has happened both times at this particular establishment, it does make me question whether I was actually being served the liquor I requested and paid for. When you're paying top-shelf prices, you should feel confident that you're receiving the brand you ordered. Overall: nice ambiance, mature crowd, limited food options, hit-or-miss DJs, and unfortunately a liquor experience that has now left me questioning what I was served twice.
