My hunny and I were invited to celebrate with our friends here. It's a cool lounge located in Ozone Park. Since coming here I realized that you do not always have to take a trip in the city to have a good time. Our first time here I thought to myself it's awfully small in comparison to the lounges I've frequented however don't let that deter you. Little did I know that I would end up appreciating the intimate layout. The staff here is accommodating and personable. They made sure that we were taken care of. I didn't feel as if the bouncers were overstepping their boundaries and being pushy about coat check. The crowd here is mature, grown and sexy. Everyone was there to have a good time. You don't have to worry about silly fights breaking out or immature patrons. The food is just okay. The music here never gets old. They mainly play reggae - new and old school, soca, hip hop and some Spanish music. read more

Where do I begin... Last night was the second time I've been to elevate, the first time it was a great vibe everything went smoothly we danced until the lights came on, we went home, it was a great night. Last night we bought tickets to see Nailah Blackman perform, right off the bat we were put into the wrong VIP based on some sort of mixup with the scheduling. I was told that I couldn't get the original VIP that I wanted because the people that were there bought more bottles than I did So they can't move them so I had to stick to the VIP they placed me at which was all the way in the back away from the bar & the stage...next to the door where there was a bouncer...OK... I spoke to the promoter he explained the situation I was disappointed but I took the loss gracefully I didn't make a scene they gave me two comp tickets and said any future parties they will give me a discount on the bottle prices. I don't care about that but Fine. The night goes on we're all having a good time Nailah performs she finishes, we're dancing a song comes on where it says "pick up something" a few of the guys in our crew pick their girls up myself and boyfriend included...the bouncers immediately came over and said don't do that...ok. My boyfriend puts me down, then hugs me a lifts me a bit playfully...not like before. He puts me down and continue dancing...out of NO WHERE 2-3 bouncers immediately grabs him roughly and pushes him out the door right next to our VIP... naturally all the guys are like "wtf are you doing" and started shouting..trying to get to him. My boyfriends sister goes and trying to speak to the bouncers and they started roughing her up and pushing her away mind you these are HUGE brollic bouncers and his sister is literally 90-95lbs...they drag him downstairs and choking him they threw him outside and onto a car (OF COURSE anyone in this situation at this point would be screaming back and trying to fight back however my boyfriend never lifted a finger toward the bouncer he was just trying to get out of his hold and of course talking shit because who wouldn't?)...my boyfriend says "fuck it whatever" when he realized that this is pointless and looks down to get his Phone and the bouncer punches him in the face and then throat...his sister is trying to break it apart and she is getting pushed all over...I'm upstairs trying to get down they make me go through the whole process of running across the entire club having to get my coat and theirs from coat check because "all exits are final"...the bouncer then proceeds to tell my boyfriend "I'm off the clock...let's go.." um let's go nowhere... i finally get down and I'm calling the promoter to come down... he comes down and basically says he understands but there's nothing he can do and he's truly sorry. I would've filed a police report right then and there if the promoter didn't talk me out of it...i am however expecting to see some sort of result. While speaking to the promoter another bouncer comes up and says "why are you here still? Go home nobody cares, take your shirt to the cleaners and go home" I know this review is not going to even phase elevate because clearly the owner didn't give a shit to even come downstairs or address the situation... I'm sure they think we were just rowdy drunk people...which we were not. We were just having a good time dancing and then this happens...? My goal is to have them find a new security team one that's more professional, patient, and that has better judgement...because clearly the people they have working there are the exact OPPOSITE. There's nothing more scary than seeing innocent people get beat up by others abusing their authority... that's ridiculous and elevate should do better. If that bouncer had hit my boyfriend in the throat and fractured his esophagus...should we have just shut up and gone home? NO you try to resolve the problem before it becomes a larger issue...in this case FIRE THE WHOLE TEAM OF BOUNCERS THAT WORKED 4/5/2019 because they are all morons. NEEDLESS to say we will never be returning, endorsing or supporting anything that Elevate does and will encourage others NOT to do so as well out of fear that another innocent person will be assaulted and god forbid more seriously hurt. My boyfriend is fine. Nothing broken or badly bruised (another reason we didn't file a report) his throat is just a bit swollen. SHAME ON YOU ELEVATE FOR CONTRACTING A BUNCH OF SENSELESS GOONS. The bouncer that let me in initially was cool- he thought he was a comedian and one lil 1am drunk chick (yeah she was drunk at 1a...) thought he was funny but whatever. Wasn't notified there was a cover, so i walked out to the nearest corner store for a 1am, $20 cover. Also, no biggie. Original bouncer said i was good when i came back, but his buddy heard and said NA, he gotta check me to make sure (woah, pause fam). He patted me down to his liking and said ok noOoow I'm good (maybe this is where my torch lighter was taken out of my coat pocket without warning or consent?). Coat check was $4, and even though i could clearly see there was a coat check, mans was frothing at the mouth to tell me thay there was a coat check. Maybe THIS is where my torch lighter went missing? Ok, I pay the $20 cover and $5 (keep the change, friend) and head to the bar. 1st time i was told there was no tonic for my gin. Someone knocked the drink out of my hand (unintentionally) after ordering, so i went back, and the 2nd time i was given gin...with tonic (aight cool). Girl to guy ratio was horrible (so i understand the cover charge) and i stayed until closing, as my relative had reserved a section. I've been to this place in my 20s when it was Parrot. I don't normally leave reviews, but they deserve one. Went here for my birthday and everyone from the bouncers to the bartenders to the bottle girls were extremely nice. The birthday packages were extremely affordable and with their prices I had no problem buying a few more bottles and hookah that evening. The staff was extremely attentive and fast. My friend dropped some soda on the table and as fast as it was dropped the staff came to clean it up. As soon as I walked in the bottle girls took my balloons without asking and set them up in my VIP. Decor - I haven't been here since my Parrot days, but it looks amazing. The ceiling lights move, which when you've had a few drinks makes you feel like the whole room is moving with you. Very clean, bigger than I remembered it being somehow. Very nice ambiance. Music - maybe it was just the night I went, but I'm not sure. Compared to the other clubs I attend, they played the most soca, Indian, chutney, and reggae that I've ever heard in one club night - all night long. Being West Indian, I do not like to go to a club to hear pure soca and hip hop all night. We live in RICHMOND HILL. It's ok to have a roti shop every block, but we can't play bolly/chutney until 3/4am? Everyone in my VIP said they haven't had such a good time in A LONG TIME. Long story short, everyone in my VIP left drunk, barefoot, some got carried out, no one could walk the next day from how much we danced, and all our photos include us hugging each other because the mood was so happy and pleasant that we were all glad to be there sharing it with one another. I was here last night for my cousins birthday. After two hours of soca, Indian music and reggae we all sat down in our section to relax, because the flashing lights and music gave us headaches. A friend (male) of ours had his head leaning back on the chair with his eyes closed. Three security guards came, shined their lights on him and told him he had to leave. Not even "wake up" or "you can't lay or sleep here" but "YOU HAVE TO GO". Everyone was confused because we literally had done nothing wrong, especially when everything was already paid for. The bouncer even tapped my friend aggressively, when no one was the aggressor. I have never in my life been embarrassed and kicked out of a spot, perhaps if we'd been of different ethnicity they would've just gave us a warning instead, not sure! read more

9/7/19-1st time coming to this place and I will NEVER EVER step foot here again. First off, I was lied on by a bouncer named Ivan? I was standing in a corner waiting for my sisters when he RUDELY asked me to move, I responded that I am waiting for someone and I walked out the club. As I'm walking out, he proceeded to run down the stairs to tell the other bouncer a bunch of lies bc he did not like the tone of my voice and claimed that I was disrespectful. On top of that, one of the other workers of the club (circled face in pic) stated to my sisters that I am not allowed to go inside because the bouncer said I was disrespectful to him and that I should have kept my mouth shut instead of arguing back. So pretty much I was told that I should have stfu and take the disrespect if I wanted to get in. They can disrespect the public and say whatever they want to you and you should not open your mouth to defend yourself. I have never kissed a$$ to get into ANY establishment and I sure as hell won't be starting with Elevate Sky Lounge. On this night, I witnessed multiple arguments with the public and the individual circled in the picture as well as the bouncers. Whoever the owner(s) are, PLEASE train your workers how to communicate with the public respectfully. They should not be threatening ppl coming into your place of business to spend their money. First off it's a very nice place to hang out, but the bottles are over priced ever since mazi closed down. There coat check system is a lost cause, they give you a ticket for you're coat and they end up losing the other ticket to match you're coat. Decor and atmosphere is one of a kind. This lounge/club has the best weekly events with guest artists and DJ's. To top it off they have good food and Hookah. The bottle service is something to remember. They also have an outdoor lounge with a retractable roof. Valet parking available and located next to The train and buses. If you're Caribbean this is the spot to be for your weekend turn up. The bottle specials are great and the vibes are right. The DJs can actually dj and play a little something for everyone's taste. The bartenders are really sweet and everyone makes sure you have a good time. The only thing i would have to comment about this Lounge is that you have to take steps to get into the lounge which is rather difficult when you pregame a little too much and when you are leaving the lounge you also take those steps. Went here for the first time on Friday night with some friends, and I loved it more than I thought I would. The place was smaller than I imagined, but very cozy. Our bartender, Amanda R, was very accommodating and super friendly. The music was great, so we all danced the whole night. They mainly play Soca, Chutney, Indian, and Reggae but they also play other kinds of music (Hip Hop, Spanish, etc). The whole atmosphere was very welcoming; it was nothing but good vibes.
