I was having an issue with my Jag and called ahead to find out the timing for getting my car looked at. I dropped my car off on a Sunday night with the intent of getting a diagnostic performed on Monday. I called Monday and they hadn't gotten to it. I was told Tuesday and at the latest Wednesday. My car sat for 3 days without even a diagnostic being done on it. I was told they were short staffed and it was right before the Thanksgiving holiday but good customer service would let a client know that their car would not be looked at. Who doesn't need their car over an extended holiday weekend? What repair shop has NO contact with a customer who has their car on the lot for repair? On Wednesday I called and told them I was picking up my car. At no point was an apology offered or any explanation for my car sitting for 3 days. They just handed me my keys. This shop provides horrible customer service and I would not recommend it to anyone who has a need for repair. read more

Stopped in here on the recommendation of another company that couldn't perform the work I needed done. They gave me an estimate of $350 saying the part was inexpensive but the labor was "a bitch." I called my mechanic guy and he did it for $80 total and was finished in like 15 minutes. read more

Took my Mercedes C250 into Import Autohaus at 6316 West Broad because warning lights were on. A sensor was replaced and codes cleared. A month later, same problem. Took car back in. They ran a diagnostic which showed a number of stored codes. Once again, the codes were cleared. The manager kept the car overnight to test drive. We were told that the car runs great and codes did not return. Next day, started car and the same problem. Called Import Autohaus and spoke with the manager, Robert. Told him that we were having the same problem and asked if there was anything else they could do to repair the vehicle and not just clear codes. Robert became combative and defensive. He could not (or would not) understand that I was frustrated that the problem was persisting. Robert's solution was that he didn't want to work on the car anymore. I'm not sure if the vehicle's issue was too big for them, lack of customer service training or if he was having a bad day, but I WOULD NOT recommend this shop to anyone that requires good customer service. read more

My 2002 Volkswagen Jetta was delivered to Import Autohaus from my usual car repair shop (who was so honest in that they'd tried to find out what was wrong, but couldn't figure my old girl out ). Curtis, at Import Autohaus called right away to verify the problem and gave me an estimate for when they'd be able to investigate. Then politely and professionally informed me of the needed repairs, as well as explained to me what happened, along with a total price less than the estimate! I definitely recommend this business and will be back!! read more

Have had nothing but great experiences bringing my Audi in there for various things (oil changes , brake pads ,alternator , etc). They have very fair pricing , and saved me thousands of dollars the last time I brought it in there compared to the other estimates I received. This is my 2nd time taking my 2014 Audi A4 to Import Autohaus on W Broad Street and I love everything about them. the first time I was there several months ago my car started having issues on I-64 as I was traveling to see my daughter from Hampton coming to Richmond. They were recommended from someone and the customer service and my car repair was GREAT! So much so I drive all the way from Hampton intentionally to have them work on my vehicle. Again today they did some work on my vehicle and the customer service, the work performed and enti experience was wonderful. From the time you enter the building Robert greets you and is so informative and forth coming on what needs to be done. As a woman, I sometimes feel repair shops try to "mansplain" your repairs, but not here they are up front and honest! The waiting is clean and all the techs are great also! I even have my daughter taking her car to them and her experience was great too! I trust them and would recommend them to everyone, and I only want them to work on my Audi. Wow. This place was great to work with. The muffler broke on our 2010 Audi Q5. We had the car towed there by AAA. Mike is the manager. He was very honest with us and told us the clamp had rusted off (Northern car) and he was going to source a new one. He could have ripped us off but didn't. The mechanic that worked on the car used to work at Audi. I asked him to hook up to the car computer and check for any codes that may have been thrown. He said there was one code but the cost of the repair for it was not worth it. These guys have earned my trust and we will return. read more

Do not take your Mercedes to this place lying low competence level not to be trusted. They tried to charge me $500 for an Alternator that was a 100 @ advance plus 5 hours labor. They make a business off over charges spent over a $1000 with these low class hillbillies and still not treated with respect read more

Very poor service. I scheduled an appointment, but the manager didn't remember my call and tried telling me to return in a week. This place charged $100 to recycle an airbag light, which is a 5 minute job. Estimate for brakes and rotors was 30% higher than another auto shop. When I asked them to recycle the airbag light a second time after replacing a broken seatbelt receiver myself the manager told me that he would "only" charge 1/2 price - another $50. I respectfully emailed the owners to see if this was common practice, but got no response after 60 day. Another auto shop recycled the light for free without any services rendered. I highly recommend avoiding Import Auto Haus. Better customer friendly repair shops are right around the corner. read more

I count on them to take care of me, and they never let me down!! Everyone is polite and friendly and never talk down to me. They also take care of routine scheduled maintenance so I don't have to go back to the dealer. Just the kind of place for a woman who knows little about a car. read more

Import Autohuas has been doing the repairs on my Honda S2000, Mini Cooper, G37 and Land Cruiser for the last 2 years. I have been very happy with the quality of their work. They have been honest and fair to work with. They will tell me if they find something that needs work but they don't "make up stuff" just to get money out of my wallet. I highly recommend them. read more
