I didn't see them until the end, and this is the results (see photos), I told her that you can see all my imperfect eyes damaged nails and she said, "it's pretty, it looks natural". I was tired had no time and sore from her work that I just left... honestly if you can't take care of customers then don't do the job! They didn't tell me it was expired while I was there, let me use half of it, then crossed out the expiration date and made it a date in expire 10/30/25. I was unaware they back-dated it because I was in a hurry to put it in my pocket since I was in rush. Fast forward to today, I went to use it and obviously it wasn't honored because of that new date. I understand that it expired and of course I'm fine not using it since it's completely my fault. It was just the most bizarre experience because 1. No one mentioned it was expired the first time I was there (which I would have been fine paying for my pedicure if someone explained that to me instead writing in a new date so couldn't use it again) Also I'm just not sure why they would give me back a gift certificate that I can't use anymore or never mention that it was expired. 2. What kind of place has a 1 week or 1 month expiration date? (Thinking about it I'm wondering if it the date a typo since it was handwritten because most places around here have a 1 year expiration date when I buy them or am gifted them.) Also my nails were different lengths and the polish I used developed white spots on top (it was a light purple) With so many wonderful places in Montclair, I would definitely consider buying a gift certificate somewhere else with a longer expiration date, a more clear policy, or somewhere that will take the time to explain these dates and policies if you have an issue like I did if you are looking to purchase a gift.

I rarely get a manicure here, because the paint chips off quickly even with a gel mani. But I went out on a limb one day and got a full gel set that didn't even last a week. I went on a vacation the day after I got them done, so I couldn't go back to get it fixed until after I returned over a week later. I called and explain the situation to the owner who told me to come in when I could and she would give me a gift card for a free pedicure for the inconvenience. Even though I had a not-so-great experience and spent a lot of money that day, I give them five stars because of their customer service and great pedicures. (Realistically, it's a 4.5) I recommend the Monday through Wednesday $30 Mani Pedi special only. Also, the parking lot is small and tight, not ideal.

I smiled at her when I walked in, and she gave no response. I do not like talking much during appointments, but I appreciate a little small talk so the experience does not feel so cold. She gave me nothing. The powder was extremely clumpy, and she even had to redo my thumb because of how bad it looked. Even after buffing, the nails are still clumpy and clearly were not smoothed enough. She also dipped some fingers into the powder 4-6 times. I have been getting powder gel manicures for over 3 years and have never had that happen before. There was also a lot of product left on my skin afterward, which she did not attempt to fix or acknowledge. The nails are messy, and one hand is longer than the other. At the end of the appointment, I had to ask for lotion because it was not offered. She also kept bringing my hands to the powder instead of bringing the powder to my nails, which made the process uncomfortable. Maybe my bad experience was just because of Jassmin, but because of her, I definitely will not be returning. I did not feel welcomed at all, and I honestly do not understand how this salon has a five-star rating.
