All I can say is that my experience at Imperial Ford was exactly what a car buying experience should be. I had been on the search for a new car for a while. It being my first car buying experience, I wanted to make sure to do a bunch of research before I moved forward with a vehicle or dealership. I finally found one at Imperial Ford and made some calls to get the ball rolling. Once I stepped in I was placed in the hands of Dave Bertulli. He was very welcoming, honest, and thorough. After many failed attempts at other smaller dealerships, my wife and I hopped in and knew right away this was the car for us. It was clean, drove great, and felt brand new to us. Dave was ready for us when we got back and made the process smooth and painless. We even saved several hundred off the Original Sticker price without any discussion at all. Next was financing with Ahmad Al-Jallad. He was super personable, fair, and detailed. He got us the perfect loan and was very open, honest and in line with how we wanted to pay for the vehicle. If you have a fleet vehicle, they don't respect that that vehicle is your lively hood and do things in a timely manner - they're more concerned with milking ARI for everything they can. Time management is a huge issue with them, they don't know how to schedule and stick with that time. If you make a 9am appointment on a Thursday don't expect it to be done that day. Or on Friday. You'll be lucky if it's done on Saturday. Customer service, don't think they got that training. I bought my car here a year ago. I have a Ford dealer 5 min from my home. I won't go there. I always feel swindled & had a terrible experience when I was car shopping. I return to Imperial for my service. I was even told once, "you know you can get this recall done at any Ford dealership, not that I don't want your business!" Stopped by Imperial Ford and found an amazing car. I had to pay an extra $1K over the special orange tag price since I didn't have a trade-in vehicle. After I agreed, the salesman shook my hand and went to the front desk and rang the bell. While I was waiting for F&I, he came back to tell me that the dealership made an honest mistake and that the price went, not from $28,855 to $29,855, but now was $35,777. Although the car had an orange tag with the stock number and price clearly listed, I was told that the price was about $6K higher than posted and firm. Getting in my lease in 2019 was smooth and easy. 3 years later I try to buy it out and can't get ahold of anyone in finance for days, no salesman took my calls, and got transferred back to the same receptionist I started with multiple times. Finally got an appointment set up and was told to come in for paperwork. I drove a half hour to the dealership and am told "Can you come back tomorrow we don't have any of the paperwork ready". Following that, I was told Ford would need to keep my truck for 10 days after I drop off payment. No problem I can borrow a car. I called back and got management who then told me it could be good as soon as Tuesday (7 days after it was dropped off). Called back on Thursday and was told that they will need to keep my truck for up to 3 WEEKS after it was dropped off. So now you're expected to wait 3 weeks with no vehicle, no loaner vehicle offered, and no plan for a vehicle because I was told 10 days when in reality it could be 3 weeks. We bought a car from Imperial in April 2012. The saleman were not high pressure and they really worked with us to get in the car we wanted. We did run into an issue with the warranty that I thought was no big deal. We purchased the Ford 100,000 mile warranty and was told it is "Roof to Road, except tires, oil changes and wipers." I also asked that the warranty cover 100,000 miles, not up until 100,000 miles. We bought the car used (had 31,000 miles on it), so we agreed the warranty would cover until 131,000 miles. I saw the error on the paperwork when I got home and called them. The person we dealt with was off and it took a couple of calls to get him on the phone. He said, "Customer experience is our goal. I'll fix this for you." Couple of weeks went by and nothing. I called again and got the same line. I called a month later and spoke to the manager. Same line. My wife went down there and was told it will be fixed and they dont know how this all happened. It's been 14 months and the issue is still not resolved. And that warranty isnt "Roof to Road." I specifically asked if brakes are covered and was told "yes", but they are not. We recently went to Imperial to test drive an Explorer. They had one that was a good deal. The salesman ask if I was interested and my answer was, "It depends on how much I can get for my trade. My budget will depend on that." He fired back, "Oh no. We arent even talking about that right now. Im not getting an appraiser out here unless I know you're serious." He said it in a way that would suggest we were a burden to him. (M first car buying experience was with the folks at Central Jeep in Norwood, they were fantastic) Fast forward to my visit to Imperial in Mendon recently, boy did that change things. Without getting into detail- the folks at Imperial practice terrible customer service skills. It is clear that they play "the game" and target the money in your pockets. I was ready to buy a car, but after my visit to this location, I am putting that on hold! They were horrible. It is a miracle to me that they have so many five star ratings. I wish 0 stars were an option. I called at 9am on 5/14/20 to inquire about a specific vehicle. I spoke with the internet sales manager Christopher Keene. He told me the vehicle was in stock. We made an appointment for 11am on 5/16/20 to see and test drive the vehicle. I called Christopher at 2pm on 5/15/20 to confirm everything was all set for the appointment, as the dealership is an hour from my house. He assured me it was. On 5/16/20 I headed to the dealership. When I was almost to the location I tried calling Christopher, he did not answer so I called the main number. I was transferred to a manager who told me the truck was sold on 5/14/20. I was shocked. I drove 2 hours out of my way on my day off for nothing. Extremely disappointed! I tried contacting Christopher via phone call, text message and email and he didn't have the decency to get back to me. Avoid this dealership!! Worst experience ever! read more

There isn't enough space here to put down all the details but this should of been the easiest sale of the year. The customer service and response from Kim in the finance dept was awful, no call backs, bad responses when I did reach her. They could not accommodate a meeting before there team meeting, even though I was traveling 2hrs, at 9am. They couldnt FedEx me the documents that I needed to complete the sale to save me a needless trip. If you don't have the ability to complete transactions in an online sales environment please do not advertise online. I purchased a new Explorer from Brian Rishe last month. I found the Explorer on AutoTrader so I contacted Imperial Ford to ensure that the advertised price was the actual price. The advertised price was only reflecting one rebate (which I qualified for): $1,000 rebate if you trade-in a car that they can sell on their lot (car must meet some very minimal standards). Important: When I went to the dealership the car was offered to me for the same price. When I walked into the dealership (which is by far one of the nicest I've seen) I was greeted by a number of salesmen. I was then directed to Brian who I was already talking to prior to my arrival. Brian had the Explorer parked up front and wasted no time. He gave me the keys and we went to the car. Unlike other salesmen, Brian made sure I got to enjoy the car during the test drive. He had me drive on a number of roads, some bumpy and some smooth with higher speeds. He called his road test "The Explorer Challenge". We returned back to the dealership and we negotiated a price for the vehicle I was trading in. This was done fairly quickly. I was satisfied with the price they offered me and with the advertised price for the Explorer, which was very competitively priced so there was no need for negotiating more (at least I didn't want to waste my time for a couple hundred bucks). My overall experience was outstanding. If you're looking to head over to Imperial Ford I would ask for Brian. He really did go the extra mile. He gave me his cell phone number and stated that I could call him at any time if I had any questions. On my way back home with the new Explorer I realized that I forgot to peel off a parking sticker for work. I texted Brian and he responded immediately and stated that he will take it off the next day and keep it on his desk (which he did and I went to pick it up when I returned for my registration). Brian also followed up with a phone call and a text after I picked up my registration to ensure that I was satisfied with my purchase. Lastly, I have to add that I did purchase the protective film for the Explorer that goes on the front end and I was told that I would have to return to the dealership to get it installed by a vendor they use. Brian made it so that the vendor was at the dealership on the same day I was picking up my registration so that I wouldn't have to return a second time. I was really impressed by this! Plus he checked up on me and gave me constant updates as my car was having the film applied. Overall honest dealership. I will be retuning to service my vehicle here as long as the service department is similar to the sales. read more

I actually paid for a car at Imperial Ford and a month later still did not have the car because the dealer did not have the title. There was no sense of urgency on their part to get the title although they did offer to make my first month's payment which was coming due. Imagine that, my first payment coming due and I still did not have the car. I can't imagine putting a car up for sale and not having the title and saying that it's common practice in the industry. It might be in Imperial's part of the industry. I cancelled the contract and went to Herb Chambers in Westborough and 3 days later drove away in the car I wanted. I feel that I got a very good deal on the car and the process was painless as far as car buying goes--in-and-out in less than 1hr. The service manager, Ian, and a sales associate worked very hard to accommodate my busy schedule in receiving the car. We purchased a gently used Ford F-150 (20k+). Had it for two days when we realized that the rain was pouring into the back seat. We immediately called our sales person who told us to bring it right in and he'd give us a loaner. We get there and are told they would have our truck for the week. When we go to the Main desk to get the loaner, some old crank of a guy was incredibly rude and told us they weren't giving us a loaner because we didn't buy the extended warranty. Two days we had the truck!! The guy was so rude, I was just about in tears. Even though the sales person offered, management didn't support his decision. Their website could be clearer about what your vehicle requires to get the trade-in discount. My vehicle had too many miles (which I figured), but it would be nice to know up front. Because this was my first time purchasing a vehicle on my own, I was slightly confused with the process of getting my registration (which was through RI), and I ended up driving to the DMV when I didn't even have to, but overall I'm still extremely happy. Found a beautiful looking pre-owned 2016 ford explorer - Imperial, yet it was on the Chrysler lot, not ford lot. After test drive, I questioned the salesman and finance manager about the carfax, showing 2 owners in a year, 1 for only 30 days - the finance manager assured me that the 2nd owner worked at Imperial and the vehicle was not good for towing his trailer (in January - which I thought was odd) but, I trusted him. I made a comment about it being able to tow my jetski and he just smiled and said I don't know. - I felt pretty stupid when I brought it home and my husband looked and noticed the vehicle did not even have a tow hitch! So, they lied there..... Next - start having issues with car 1st day - send it back, it was a constant go between Ford service wanting Chrysler to fix since it was bought on their lot. I owned this vehicle for 6 months. In 6 months the vehicle was sent for service 3 times and a total of 20 days without my vehicle. Reasons - Cling noise in front end - 3 different answers from ford service - didn't hear it - was a recall part - was abs brakes - NONE of them resolved thew issue. Other issues - the liftgate was way out of alignment, causing yet another noise in cabin because it was not sealing - after 8 days in service and being sent to body shop - I pick up my vehicle. Same day, driving down 495 - the door / window panel comes apart hitting my window and eventually falling off while I was getting into breakdown lane. - That scared the crap out of me, very dangerous to have parts of your vehicle falling off on the highway! Especially a 2016 vehicle? Too many issues, and I don't enjoy time dropping off my car and getting a rental car. - After all of these incidents, I contacted the previous owner to see why he traded it, he told me he owned the car for 3 months, no issues, and bought it from Imperial yet did not work there. (This guy either knows them or the whole carfax was wrong - 30 days or 3 months?- also carfax showed purchase was from Tasca, then traded at Imperial) I will not do business with them again, and my family will not either. I feel the carfax was all manipulated and even now it just shows I had it in for regular service - no problems. I decided to go to a smaller, more reputable local Ford Dealer and purchased a brand new ford explorer and I could not be happier. Now I look out at my car and I smile, and I love to drive in it. I had to take a loss in $$$ but it was much better than going back to them to get taken advantage of again. read more

I work for a contractor that buys thousands of ford pick ups and the team has been told to bring our ford trucks to the nearest dealerships possible. I have done this many times before and have had great service. However I had to use Imperial Ford in Mendon Ma and by far the worst I have dealt with from the east coast to the west coast. The folks at the front desk treat you like a second rate person, they are rude, abrasive, argumentative and uncaring. I felt like I was a burden. I made an appointment a week in advance, brought my truck in at 7:30 am and I called to get a update at 1:30 PM and my truck had not even been seen. Then I was told they had no idea when it would be seen. I called my fleet manager to ask about renting a vehicle and he asked why. I told him the reason he then called the dealership service department and he to was treated rudely. Not sure why the folks running this dealership allows this type of unprofessionalism to take place at their facility. I have purchased a couple vehicles from this dealership. I have been very pleased with the service dept. My 2nd purchase had an unexpected outcome. In an effort to get me to buy it and get the payment where I wanted it, they checked my credit for a number of banks and included the amount I was "upside down" on my old car. I did not know this. If they are going to slam your credit rating a good 100 points by doing this, they should have to tell you. I would have written a check for the "upside down" amount or arranged my own loan on my own. Go there with your loan pre-arranged with your own bank. Getting actual full numbers out of them was difficult. Do not tell them what you want your monthly payment to be. How much is the total price..have the info from your own bank to figure out the payment. The finance woman was nice enough, I think it was the pushy sales guy. read more

I called this dealership asking about a car on their website. They said that they would try to be community friendly with people's financial situation during the covid crisis. I told the person on the phone that I has been through breast cancer. When I said I didn't have a trade in, they said they'd need to add $1000 to the advertised price. I said if they waived the $1000 add on, I'd be down tomorrow to buy the vehicle. The person on the phone said he would check and call right back. He never did. I called the next afternoon, and they answered the phone not with "Hello" but by saying "CAR!" Unless the person 's name actually is "CAR" or "CARR" that's a ridiculous way to answer the phone. I told "CAR" that I was ready to buy a car, and was expecting a call back, but that it was unprofessional to not return a call. I told him he lost a sale, and that now I saw the reason for the bad yelp reviews! "CAR" rudely answered "You're Welcome," and hung up. Do not buy a Ford fiesta they are a piece of junk in an accident waiting to happen. Many recalls and issues with transmission and other major problems with this vehicle. My daughter has almost gotten into many accidents because the car would lurch forward or would not accelerate at all. The dealership kept on kicking the can down the road trying to get her out from under her warranty mileage. We ended up trading the piece of junk for a jeep Rubicon. Not very please with the results of customer service due to them not egg knowledge Ing the fact that this car had major issues with the transmission and did not offer any other alternatives to fix the problem or replace the transmission and put my daughters life and granddaughters life on the line for profit and greed. read more
