After going to many diners in the area you would wonder why the hell haven't I come here sooner. As first timers here we sat in a comfortable booth and couldn't stop looking at all of the amazing food passing us. It was a clean place and spacious. To start we got some hot chocolates with whipped cream and they were so good. I saw that they had a special for mimosas 2 for 1 and I also got that. I ordered a veggie omelette with home fries and toast it was good made well. My boyfriend ordered a breakfast platter and he also enjoyed his food! Our server was good he checked up on us and made sure we were good.

Even though this dinner is so close to my house, this is my first time here. There was a short wait but my guest and I were seated exactly during the 10 minute wait period. The diner is much larger than it appeared because there were smaller rooms in every corner making it quieter than one large space. The selection was plentiful and we started with a Bellini and Mimosas. My salmon burger was well seasoned and the fries were perfect. I would definitely recommend coming here. Good service, great food and clean.

Pretty straight forward diner with multiple different items on the menu. Clean and nice looking interior. Ordered the wings and Matzah ball soup. Forgot to take photos of the wings but they were so good! The soup was good too. I got the bowl which was bigger than a small size. They close late so I Will definitely return back!

    The Breakfast Bowl

As I said in my previous review, this breakfast bowl was next level. I had to come back and try it again! It did not disappoint. This time I remembered to take a picture before I dove in. The service is lovely here, the coffee is hot and delicious. Need I say more?

I returned to Imperial Diner after a few month hiatus and had myself a bit of a late breakfast. Even though it was well past noon, they kept my coffee cup filled to the tip with frequent refills, which was awesome and much appreciated. I ordered the breakfast platter with bacon. My overeasy eggs were perfectly cooked and the home fries were just the right amount of golden brown. I even busted out my laptop for about 15-20 minutes after I finished my food and they still kept refilling my coffee. I asked if it was okay and they assured me to take my time and that the laptop wasn't a problem. Talk about neighborly! It's great having such an awesome diner in my backyard. Can't wait to be back!

My friend wanted something for her birthday and it had to be sweet. What could be better than to grab something from a diner? "Imperial Diner" to be exact. Let me give you the details. Parking is mostly in the back, but that's not a bad thing. The on the outside, stood out. However, the inside spoke volumes. It was modern on the inside and very clean. With how busy it was I was surprised how clean actually. But I knew, whatever I ordered I would have to wait, so I looked over the desserts as soon as possible. They had a huge selection of desserts to choose from, ice cream, cakes, and pies. I chose the cheesecake because it is my favorite. I knew I would at least get half (I know that's selfish, but it looked so good). I placed the order and then waited a bit. Finally I took it and left. When I presented it, she was excited. But not more than me, because I did get half. I'm happy to report, it was delicious! The strawberry glaze was incredible, the cheesecake was fluffy and cool, and the base tasted like gram cracker. I truly enjoyed it. So I have to go back. I mean, I know plenty of people with birthdays coming up. They may like pie, or ice cream, or chocolate cake.....

Went with my family to celebrate a few birthdays over brunch. First let's start with the excellent service. We walked in Saturday afternoon around 12:30 and were sat right away. My Dad is in a wheelchair and they were very accommodating and made it easy for us to get him in. They gave us a big table that was connected to a booth so everyone was comfortable and he was able to participate and be part of the day. Our waiter couldn't have been nicer. He was attentive and friendly, checking on us throughout the meal. We had a 7 year old with us who could get restless, and the waiter was so patient with him. We had a great chat about spending time with family and how important that is. The food - the brunch menu is huge with plenty of options for everyone. They have a '2 for 1' brunch cocktail special, so my sister and I shared the mimosa (she was driving). In addition to the brunch menu, they also have a regular menu with all the diner options. There was a kid menu which seemed like a steal. My nephew got pancakes with bacon, eggs, ham, a drink - all for $10! I had the Chicken & Waffles Benny which was really good. Buttermilk Battered Boneless Chicken, Two Mini Waffles, Two Poached Eggs, and Hollandaise. A little sweet, a little salty! My brother in law got the breakfast burrito which was massive (pic doesn't do it justice). We all enjoy the food and left stuffed. The manager popped by to check on us and see how everything was going. Nice touch! Prices are about average with most entrees being about $18-20. One minor nitpick - I love homefries, but the ones served here seem like they are from a bag in the frozen food section. Sprinkling of tiny diced peppers and onions mixed in made me think they didn't make this. Had better. Otherwise all was perfect!

Ordered breakfast from here for delivery. I ordered the apple cinnamon infused pancakes with a side of potatoes, turkey sausage, and a fried egg. Everything was delicious. The pancakes are huge! Definitely a shareable dish. The turkey sausage was juicy. Often times restaurant turkey sausage can be dry, but this wasn't the case. You should definitely order from here or dine in if you're in the area. I'll definitely order from here again.

The best diner in the area and that is saying something because there are certainly quite a few! The décor is whimsical and nautical in keeping with its locale. The menu options range from traditional burgers and omelets to inspired brunch choices and desserts including gelato. The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating. Although the diner is situated on a very busy avenue , there is an outdoor seating space. Surrounded with beautiful , lush greenery , that area transforms into a peaceful garden. Enjoy!

Solid local diner. Came during the Sunday brunch rush. Yes, it was a complete zoo but the wait wasn't long. Food was very good. They messed up my omelet and forgot the cheese but remedied it quickly. Loved the super fresh veggies they used (not frozen). Will be back!

Ask the Community - Imperial Diner

Is it typical to ask your patrons if they would like refills on their drinks and then charge them?

Did they specifically use the word "refill"? Or did they ask if you'd like another? In my experience, they've only asked if I (or other members of my party) would like another of whatever they were drinking.

For a holiday/waterfront dining experience on the Nautical Mile, I expected pricing to be on the higher side, but I will say the menu itself felt a bit limited for that price point. Still, the restaurant is absolutely a cute spot and definitely one of the nicer looking restaurants in the area with a great atmosphere and lounge vibe. The cocktail menu was honestly one of the highlights of the night. The drinks were well made, flavorful, and fun. You can tell they put thought into their cocktail program and presentation. For appetizers, we ordered the wings, fried shrimp, and crab cake. All three were very good. The wings were flavorful, the shrimp were crispy and fresh, and the crab cake was nicely done as well. For my entrée, I chose the blackened salmon with jasmine rice and vegetables. The salmon itself was cooked nicely and the portion size was solid, though overall the dish was a little on the salty side and felt somewhat simple/minimal for a special holiday prix fixe menu. Service was a little hit or miss. At one point I was brought something completely different from what I ordered. However, it was Mother's Day and the restaurant was clearly very busy, so I can understand the staff possibly being overwhelmed by the holiday crowd. Our server herself was still very sweet and pleasant throughout the evening. Overall, I enjoyed the experience more for the ambiance, drinks, and overall vibe than the actual prix fixe menu. I'd definitely consider going back on a regular night to try their standard dinner menu because I think that would give a better feel for the restaurant outside of the holiday rush.

There's also a cute little ice cream shop called Sam's Scoops as well, which has a seriously yummy vegan cookies & cream flavor.
