I fell and dropped my laptop. It still works, but the outside was damaged. I was so excited to find the parts so I could keep using my laptop on IC's website. I had issues using the website on my cellphone, so I had to make multiple purchases. I was immediately charged, then I got emails that the parts I ordered were not all in stock. To make things worse, I was over charged for items that were canceled. I had the parts they did have in stock sent to me, but ended up just returning them because I only had 2 of the 4 parts I needed to completely repair the outside parts of the laptop. I got all but $17.12 back. Don't purchase from this company. I will be filing additional complaints with other agencies for their deceptive practices. read more

My experience with Impact went smoothly and I would recommend them to anyone with doubts. I was looking for a replacement screen for an HP laptop and couldn't find the part anywhere. I found it here and placed the order for it as well a new Bezel. I placed the order at maybe 9pm and it was shipped early the next day. I paid for two day shipping and received it in two days. Parts were well packed. The outer box showed signs that it wasn't handled well by the carrier, but the parts were unaffected. From purchase to receipt this was the most satisfying online purchase I've made in many years. Impact will ship the equivalent replacement if an original is unavailable. The part I received was, unfortunately, not the exact fit (if you've ever replaced laptop screens you'll know that the variations are endless). Ordered a replacement display cable for my HP laptop. Their website very clearly states the item was to ship from their location in Hollywood, FL. I'm in state so I assumed it would arrive in, at most, 2-3 days after shipping. I received shipping notification right away but it was not a valid tracking #. After a week I contacted Impact and was told the item ships directly from HP and would arrive in another couple days. Their website is lying when it states items are shipping from Impact. Yesterday (another week later) I asked for an update again and was finally given a correct tracking #, which I was first told was UPS. When I followed up again because UPS didn't recognize it, Impact finally told me it was FedEx. They seemed to act like I was an idiot for not checking their website and for not knowing it was FedEx. Since I placed the order, their website said UPS shipping and displayed an invalid tracking #. It's now 16 days after item was shipped, no item yet. Suppose to arrive tomorrow (per FedEx). I've also since come to find out I could have just bought this directly through HP for 1/3 of the "sale" price I paid Impact. (my mistake) I will certainly not be doing business with this company again. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because customer service did respond relatively quickly. read more

For the past 5 orders we have tried to place with their online webstore, they have cancelled the order as the part was not in stock EACH TIME. Their phone support is NON EXISTENT as you will be waiting for hours to reach a rep about parts in stock. Their website does not reflect current inventory and the only way to find out if the part is in stock is either 1. order the part and HOPE TO GOD that you don't receive an email saying the order has been cancelled, or 2. you call their number and wait 3 hours for a rep to hang up on you, call back, and pray that you can reach someone. I ordered a motherboard to repair a laptop for coworker's granddaughter. They had a really good price. Item was then canceled after a day. I questioned it and got whatever excuse they. I understand things happen. But then saw the same item that needed but now at a higher price. Called them out on it and I was vulgar about it and I later apologized for my actions. I now need a computer fan to fix a computer for a family member and because of our previous interactions the canceled. Their exact words "unfortunately an executive decision was made by upper management to no longer do business with your company. We will unable to process any existing or future order". Find your computer parts anywhere but Impact Computers. Crazy how they can have something in stock, then cancel the order and then have the item at a higher price. Then if you voice your opinion and are critical, they just will block you and cancel if you try to make a purchase again. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service. Guy on phone was rude and condescending. I called because they sold me a motherboard that died in just over a year. When I told him that, his response was, "do you want to buy another one"? The product only had a 90 day warranty so I didn't expect them to replace it for free but there was no recognition that it's unacceptable for an item like this to just fail in just over a year. Ordered a cooling fan replacement for my laptop. They sent me a fan for a tower CASE. Called them 30 minutes before closing time and I was placed on hold for 30 minutes. Lmao. Lazy. Avoid Impact Computers, in my opinion, please. I don't take these things lightly and really hate airing complaints online, but feel its worth the time to help other avoid problems like mine. Basically, I ordered a part that should have taken about a week but will take three times that long; I feel that I've been lied to about the status; and feel like the sales person was a bit rude when I requested next day shipping at their expense. Here's my story. I was looking for a part to repair my computer. I ordered one from another company, and it arrived damaged. I called Dell, and they highly recommended Impact Computers, so I decided to order the part through them. I was put off initially that the part would take three to five days to get to them, but that's not their fault. The problem comes that its been two weeks and I've still not received the part--and I wont until next week, which is three weeks later! I was told this would take about a week or a week and a half at most. Again, I understand that problems happen, but they never contacted me about the delay. Also, when I finally called, the first sales person said that the part was shipped "a slow way," and it took longer to get from California. It does not take two weeks for a part to be shipped. I then spoke to the sales manager. He said something completely different. He said the part actually DID arrive, but it was sent back because it was damaged. He said that it would arrive next week. I requested that it be overnighted at their expense and he said it would only send it Second Day. I hate to be mean, but either one of the sales people were lying to me about the status of the overdue part, or they are incompetent or just they dont know. Either way, I would prefer to do business elsewhere in the future. If the part comes back damaged, I'll have to return it. If there is a problem returning it, I'll just contact my credit card company and will dispute the charge. I did not hear back from them. I then called and left a message about the issue. I did not hear from them. I called them and got a guy. He told me to just throw the received item away, which I thought was weird. He told me that he would initiate a full credit back to my card. I asked if I would receive an email confirmation of this and he said 'yes'. Four days later, I had received nothing. Just spoke to Ralph from customer service. We ordered a part for a customer on 11/21 and they said it was IN STOCK. I looked at the part TODAY 11/27 and it STILL said IN STOCK. Ralph told me it's NOT in stock and that it will take 5 days to get to him, and then it will be shipped. I asked him if they could overnight it since they admitted the stocking mistake, and he told me he would, but that it would still take 2 weeks to get to me and that I did not understand how distributers work. We use distributers all day every day and we get better customer service from them every day. DO NOT use IMPACT as they do not care about their customers. Ralph said he was a manager, and was very rude and didn't attempt to help us at all. Now I have to cancel the order, and somehow explain to our customer why he's not getting his part any time soon. Shopping with Impact has been a miserable experience I would not recommend to anyone. I ordered a part 3 days ago that their website says was in stock. Despite having no problems charging my account, the part still has not shipped and the order doesn't even show up on their poor website. They do not return emails or answer the phone, so I might have to initiate a charge back on the payment and order elsewhere. These guys seem like sketchy frauds and have terrible service. The website initially 'lost' my order from the "My Orders" list but when I inquired about it they reached out to me immediately to assure me that my order was being processed - then followed up again by phone to let me know the order was on its way. I received the part I was looking for and am satisfied with it. One small note about the part, though: while it was advertised as 'new' I was able to tell that it had been removed from another computer due to some residue left by an adhesive strip that is used in the design of the machine. While the new part works better than the old and I am currently satisfied, I would have preferred an actually new part instead. Thanks! read more

Yet for some reason, they are still listing the cheaper prices on their site and Google Shopping weeks later. You can cancel, but I'm still waiting for my money back. Obvious bait and switch scam. Maybe there have been some satisfied customers, but considering every item I ordered somehow had the price go up AFTER I ordered (without it going up on the site itself), something that has apparently happened to many others, I have my doubts. I ordered a hard to find computer screen from them, but they packed it so poorly that it was destroyed in shipping. Then they promise a refund within 15 business days, but there was still no refund after giving them a couple of extra days. I called and they said someone would contact me within 48 hours, but no one did. Finally, I had to file a claim with my credit card company. To top things off, when I tried to order another screen from them, they said it was permanently out of stock. Evidently, they destroyed the last one when they threw it in a small, flimsy box with a little bubble wrap. They did bill me immediately, even though they didn't have the part, and couldn't get it. I ordered a replacement boombox antenna from Impact Computers on August 11th, 2014. They took my payment and sent me a order confirmation. Later that day, my order was cancelled. In part, the cancellation email read: "The item that you requested is on Back Order and we have no exact ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival). Although we have made every attempt to get the merchandise, we have not been able to do so. Therefore, we have to cancel your order." This was more than a little upsetting because I had done so much legwork just to find the correct antenna. After placing the order, I discarded all my other research links. What was even more upsetting was to find that the item was not only still for sale on the website but now it is priced at three times the price I originally purchased it for!! In other words, Impact discovered that they were selling the item below their current cost, so rather then take the hit, they sent me a bogus excuse to cancel the order. Clearly, the item is available or they would have simply listed it as "on back order", rather than raising the price 300%.
