Dropped in without an appointment and needed a tail light. Five minutes and $2 later I was on my way. Very helpful and friendly.

I recently took my Toyota 4Runner to Eagle Eye Automotive, and I couldn't be more pleased with the…read moreservice. I brought it in for a timing belt replacement and asked them to inspect the brakes while everything was apart. Instead of trying to sell me work I didn't need, they told me the brake pads still had plenty of life left and didn't charge me for unnecessary repairs. That kind of honesty is getting harder to find these days. The work was completed professionally, and when I picked up the vehicle, I immediately noticed it had more power and ran smoother than before. The staff took the time to answer my questions, explained the repairs clearly, and never pressured me into additional services. Finding an honest repair shop is rare these days, and Eagle Eye Automotive has earned my trust. If you're looking for quality workmanship, fair pricing, and people who put integrity ahead of making an extra dollar, I highly recommend Eagle Eye Automotive. I'll definitely be returning for future service. Highly recommended!

Hello all! My 19 yo daughter's 2010 Hyundai has had problem after problem for... well... forever it…read moreseems. Her dad tried being a way-out-of-his-league mechanic every time her car just decided it needed to rest for a bit in the driveway. That car had schädenfreude making our lives h-e-double hockeysticks. Last Thursday my daughter and I were fed up with waiting for... for him to MaGiCaLlY discover and fix the problem. So I went searching for the best mechanics in the 'Burg (is that still the cool thing to say?). The overall consensus was Eagle Eye Automotive Williamsburg. I called them up and spoke with this über awesome guy named Ryan there and explained our saga. He confidently said, "I'll fix it no problem. Bring it in. I got you, fam." (Not an exact quote.) Sold. Tow it there. Friday he discovers the problem. Easy fix, apparently. He did indeed have us as fam. Monday that old lazy car was all ready to go. Price was very reasonable. Ryan was one awesome mechanic and person in general. So... TL;DR Go to Eagle Eye Automotive to get your broke down car/truck/SUV/whatever squared away and Ryan and that crew will handle it like the highly competent (and cool) mechanics they are.

First, I never write reviews. I look at them all the time, but rarely take the time to write one…read moremyself...I felt it was needed to offset some of the reviews I've read here... I recently relocated to Williamsburg and in the midst of packing up and selling my home, I lost sight of my car inspection. It was already over due. I called American Pride and they were able to get me in the same day and even helped me get back and forth to my hotel from drop off to pick up. I am a widow and often get hit up for 'added repairs and services'...(I think being a woman dealing with car things, makes me a target). Given some of the other reviews here, I was a little worried that would be the case. They couldn't have been more kind, were courteous and no added 'recommended services or repairs' were pushed onto me. Just a passed state inspection and ready to go. Thank you American Pride. I wanted others to know, that I DID have good experience and didn't get the usual hit up for add ons.

Looking at an old ticket from 2024 I see they charged me $240 for a Wynn's Fuel Injection Flush Cleaning Service. Honda doesn't recommend it. They also kept my car for three days once. Fortunately I was able to work from home during that time, but not without cost. I switched to Crow's Garage. They're a tad less flexible but the service is more trustworthy.

Insanity ensues!…read more Look, I get it... a shop has the right to make a profit on the parts they install. However, there's an honest profit, and there's a "bend over, son... this won't hurt too much." I'm looking to have a clutch installed in an old truck of mine. It's not out yet, but I fear it's on its way. It's no longer a daily driver, but it's still a good, solid, clean, reliable truck I'd like to hang onto. So, a new clutch is in order. Now for those of you who are mechanically inclined, you know this isn't rocket science, but it's still a tall order. In fact, a few people reading this might even know the knuckle damage required when replacing a clutch laying on your back in your driveway. Can I get a witness? Yup... me too! However, that was a few lifetimes ago. It's a lot of work, and it requires a lift, a tranny jack, and some elbow grease. None of which I possess these days, so I'd prefer to take it to the pros. Here's the glitch. Labor? 600 bucks! Yup, 100 dollars an hour. That's pretty much the standard these days, I get it, and I can swing it. The parts, on the other hand? Crook city! Flat out extortion! Look up any clutch kit at any auto parts store. They're all right at 245 bucks. That's retail, mind you. There's already profit figured into that price. A shop like this would pay wholesale. Now I don't claim to know what that is, but I bet this shop could buy that clutch kit for right at 200 bucks. So, though math isn't my strong suit, that's about a 20% markup. So, without lifting a finger they make money. I can see them charging even more, maybe dialing that baby up to 300 bucks, which means they just made roughly 100 bucks without lifting a finger. Are you following me so far? Great! Now guess what they wanted to charge me? Go on... take a stab! Wrong! Try again! Wrong! Try again! Wrong! These jack wagons wanted to charge me 622.50 for a part that costs them 200. A 400 dollar profit on a 200 dollar part. What do you all call this? Capitalism? Hey, I'm a staunch supporter of it! But this ain't your average joint trying to make a few bucks, this is flat out dishonest BS! When discussing that on the phone the lady didn't have an answer, so she passed the buck to someone else. He tried to spin some crazy BS about some 1.8 markup range, which he couldn't elaborate on. 1.8 times the value? Again, BS! They're already making a profit between wholesale at 200 to the recommended retail value of 245. On top of this they charge a "shop fee." Ok, however you want to spin the cost of shop rags, grease sweep and so on, I get it. But the lady said it's based on a percentage of the parts' cost. What??? What kind of crookenese is this? The more expensive the part, the more they charge you. It has nothing to do with the actual supplies used, because that would be based on how long the job took. Just so we're all understanding this scam, a 2,000 dollar transmission would require twice as much shop supplies as a 1,000 dollar transmission? How? Impossible! Here's the deal, I'm pretty sure Mr. Transmission is a franchise. It's an independently owned franchise. If it were a corporate owned store some integrity would be present. However, since it's independently owned, the owners can gouge the livin' hell out of people all they want. I really wish the franchise folk at the top would read this. I'm pretty sure they'd frown upon this horse $hit! Folks, don't reward them with your business, they don't deserve it. Cheers!

I wasn't entirely sure how to explain my issue, but she was kind and made sure that they understood what I was trying to communicate. I knew there was definitely something wrong with my vehicle and when they couldn't replicate it, one of the mechanics/technicians gave me a call. I explained when the issue would occur and he was able to identify the problem and fix it. My car has not shifted into neutral since! This was the third location that I had taken it to...third time was the charm. Very fair pricing and offer equal or better quality compared to a dealership (which was one of the places I had taken it to).
