Overall, the repair quality was pretty poor. The customer service itself wasn't bad--everyone I…read morespoke with was kind and polite. However, after waiting five weeks past the original estimate, my car was returned with a crooked door, scratched tail lights, and a sloppy paint job that started chipping just a few weeks after they painted it. They did take the car back, but again kept it longer than they estimated. They fixed the door for the most part and repainted the areas that had chipped, but there are obvious tape lines and the finish has an orange-peel texture.

Regrettably, with a young driver and multiple vehicles in the family, I would venture to say that our family has gone well above the average for requesting towing services in a ten-year span so I think that my experience lends credibility to this glowing endorsement Mr. Barker responded to my call immediately on. Friday afternoon and came to my rescue in record time. Upon meeting Sid, I was greeted by an immaculately groomed gentleman who had a warm professionalism that was greatly appreciated! He gave me very sound advice when I asked questions about the vehicle being towed, which was beyond the scope of the service I requested and showed a genuine concern for my wellbeing. Before leaving with my vehicle, he made sure that I was safe and out of harms way! Another demonstration of good character and above-average service. It is obvious that the company excels in customer service and caters to customers with the intent of fostering customer loyalty. Sid's Towing came highly recommended by my auto body shop and, after my experience, it is clear that the company has earned that fine reputation! My husband and I will be sending all future business to Sid's Towing. My husband will be calling Sid's Towing in the near future for towing services after learning of my great experience. The cost of the service was reasonable and deserved! Thanks Sid's Towing for the excellent service!

They've been in business for years, and it shows--not just in their experience, but in how they treat people. I brought my car in expecting a major repair, and instead of upselling me, they walked me through what actually needed to be done and what didn't. That kind of honesty is hard to come by. They took the time to explain everything clearly, never pressured me, and made sure I understood my options. In a time where it feels like everything is about squeezing out more money, this shop stands out for doing the opposite--being fair, transparent, and genuinely looking out for their customers. If you want a mechanic you can trust long-term, not just for one visit, this is the place. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

[FYI - their flatbed is in Newport News.] Right. Neither they nor AAA would pay for that damage done by towing. We've complained about this process several times. We don't understand why AAA keeps damaging their reputation by letting these liars stay on their service provider list.

I'm happy to be the first to offer my recommendation for this business!…read more When I looked up this business on Yelp it was still showing under the previous name Peninsula Auto and had excellent reviews. That along with the fact that they were close by when the water pump on my daughter's car decided to call it a day drew me to their door. I initially had some concerns when I saw the name change, but they had a mix of fleet vehicles and broad range of cars in the parking lot. I spoke to a small business owner that had his work van there and said he had been going here for years and his van had over 400,000 miles. He spoke highly of the shop. I just made it to them from 4 hours away and needed a one day turnaround time and the following day I had to move my daughter to college 7 hours away.
