I spotted this place when I took my daughter to get burritos last week. Their establishment is in the same strip mall as the burrito spot. I called and ordered the shrimp drunken noodles. I chose this dish because I usually order this meal at the Thai restaurant in town where I live. I love Thai food and drunken noodles are certainly my favorite so I couldn't wait to enjoy my meal. The food was ready in 10 minutes which was great!! The place looked clean and had inviting decor. The lady who took my payment was kind and efficient, also. Once I got home to eat my food though- What a total disappointment :-( It was completely flavorless. The price was reasonable at around $10 and portion was decent although I do feel there could have been a couple more pieces of shrimp (I got a total of 3 in the order) This meal lacked savor and didn't do anything for my tastebuds. My favorite Thai food in NJ. I've been here a couple times and every time it's absolutely delicious. The flavors are wonderful. I haven't found another Thai place with amazing food other than NYC. It's so great to finally have a decent Thai restaurant in the area! Opened during the pandemic, a few blocks away from another Thai restaurant and hidden from the street in a small strip mall, one would think Imm Thai might be struggling but the owner says they are doing great, clearly because their food is awesome. Imm Thai is completely in another league than the other Thai restaurants in the area, including those in Westfield, Montclair and Morristown and the others in Clark. If you want it spicy, they will make it spicy. The curries are brimming with actual Thai type vegetables, the seafood is fresh and the prices are significantly less than the other places. They have lunch specials every day. Today, before leaving, I asked one of the women working there what the word Imm means and she told me it's a Thai word that means pleasantly full. read more

Ordered take out from here the other day and ordered the Thai Chicken Wings, Pad See Ew with Beef and the Basil Duck. Chicken Wings- these were definitely the best thing we ordered. While they weren't the crispiest from traveling, the flavor was on point and there was a nice texture to the wings. I would definitely order these again, 5/5 Pad See Ew- Overall I did like this dish. The portion size was good and the noodles and beef were well cooked. It was a bit drier than I would have preferred but the flavor was enjoyable and good to eat with some of the other items we ordered. Basil Duck- This was what I was most excited about and what was my biggest let down. I do think getting this as a take out item may have affected the final product a ton by steaming it. The skin was not crispy so we ended up throwing it in the broiler for a bit and the meat wasn't medium which I prefer for duck. The sauce, while good was not enough for the full dish so it felt a bit disjointed. I would be open to trying this again in the restaurant but don't recommend for takeaway. I seen this was a new spot and I wanted to give it a try. I called in my order and ordered the vegetable drunken noodle. When I arrived I parked in the plaza parking lot. The ambiance of the place was very cute and it was very new and clean. I was greeted by a very nice lady and she asked my name and the food was ready. I paid a little over $11 with my card and left. When I got home I ate and the food was very good. It could of done without the tofu but everything else was great. I will be back. read more

Ordered a tom kha soup and pad thai with chicken. My friends ordered green curried rice, tom yum soup, grilled lemongrass chicken, tofu fritters. Most dishes can be made vegetarian. Note all curries contain fish based ingredients and that cannot be removed. Tofu fritters were big pieces of tofu to dip in sauce. Tom Yum/Tom Kha soup was very sweet so I would recommend asking for it spicy. Pad thai was great I added sriracha on top to give it the kick. Green curried rice was a little spicy/had a kick. Grilled lemongrass chicken was cooked really well and had a great sauce on it. It's on their healthier item menu and is served with rice and broccoli. It's a small place, but the interior was decorated well. Felt safe during COVID as servers wore masks and we were seated apart from other tables. The place is BYOB. No outdoor seating. read more

I got takeout shrimp pad thai, chicken pad see ew, green curry shrimp, and pineapple chicken thai fried rice. The bill came to $56. Portion sizes are modest, considering the prices. The proteins were slightly overcooked. Shrimp were a little chewy, and the shreds of chicken were a little dry, bit I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on this, since by the time I got it home the food didn't get eaten until half an hour after it was cooked. The pad see ew was very good. The noodles were perfectly cooked, not slimy or mushy, and it had an appealing, smoky flavor. I would order this again, notwitstanding the dry chicken. The green curry sauce was watery, and lacked any coconut milk flavor. They did get the (medium) heat level right. I would also have liked more vegetables, and the 4 oz. container of white rice on the side was stingy. Pad Thai was just OK. Good balance of flavors, noodles were on the dry side and clumpy, no bean sprouts, either. I will still come back here to sample more of the dishes, and perhaps have a more favorable opinion if I eat it there. 3-1/2 stars for now. read more

Since I work around the area, I get to go frequently for lunch and dinner. This restaurant has an interesting décor and interior. It's small, and only indoor seating is offered. I have a lot of praise for the staff. They are kind and if you get takeout, the food is prepared within the 15 minutes they say it'll take. The chef greeted me one time when I ate in with friends. Speaking of the food, you won't regret the pineapple fried rice. (It comes with cashews, so be mindful if you have a nut allergy). I have tried a lot of items on their menu, and that particular item is wonderfully flavored. Their drunken noodles are very good too. Beef especially. Don't eat red meat? Their chicken is good too. Order with level 5 spice, it enhances the flavor. Want just a noodle dish with soy sauce taste? Pad See Ew fills that need right away! Try, try, try their soups: Tom Ka or Mushroom Crab. I've lived in DC and NYC and I can say say the worst drunken noodles there are better than these. I feel this way because the food is oily, not at all spicy. Spice was not included on the side. Really, did you read the description of your plate? It says spicy. We look forward to that tear dropping moment. The tom yum soup was weird. I'm sorry but broccoli does not belong here. It is the most lemony sour soup I've ever had. Just no. Hard pass. So thai place, and you think thai iced tea. Well it wasn't offered for delivery. I love (good) Thai food and this establishment had good reviews, so we tried it; huge mistake. The shrimp in my pad thai were not fresh, they were downright bad, rancid, spoiled, with a rotting, sulphuric, fishy aroma, to say the least. We ordered takeout and I made the mistake of not opening our dishes there. After reading some of the other reviews, it wouldn't have mattered, as, apparently, there are no refunds for spoiled/rotten food or any raw duck they serve. At any rate, I don't need a refund, it will be refund enough watching this disgusting dive go out of business for serving such vile, disgusting food and treating customers so poorly. read more

We got our food to go, but the decor and entire restaurant looked so pretty and modern from the inside. We got Thai Tea, Drunken noodles, Chicken Wings, Calamari/Shrimp Combo, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Satay, and Crème Brûlée. I will say that getting the calamari/shrimp to go made the container condensate and make the food a little soggy so that might be an item you want to get in the restaurant. Chicken wings were good, but nothing to go crazy over. Chicken satay is great with the sauce if you like peanut flavors. The crème brûlée was AMAZING!! New to the area and walked into Imm Thai after another local Thai restaurant informed my husband and I that they did not do dinner time dine-in. Super thankful we were turned away (we didn't take offense to it) because if not we wouldn't have tried Imm Thai! First impression of the restaurant is that it is super clean, hand sanitizer upon entry, decor is absolutely beautiful, tables have enough space, the staff was friendly and attentive, and most importantly the food was absolutely delicious. For our first visit here we ordered fried calamari to start and Green Curry fried rice with Shrimp and Bangkok duck. I know fried calamari can be bought anywhere, but the sauce and taste was probably one of the best I've had in a while. Since the green curry dish was my own I can say I hands down enjoyed it and would order it again. I'm looking forward to coming back here again and trying everything on the menu. read more

I went with my boyfriend and his parents, and ordered the tofu fritter, chicken sate, fried shrimp & calamari, spicy squid salad, green papaya salad, and tom yum soup for appetizer. We got the drunken noodles, chicken pra ram, salmon with green curry, and bangkok duck for the main course. I would order the chicken sate and tom yum soup again for appetizers. It seems like they use chicken breast for the sate, yet it's very moist and not overly grilled. Everyone enjoyed their dish respectively. The drunken noodles seemed standard, the chicken pra ram has a generous portion of chicken with creamy peanut sauce, the salmon with green curry was flavorful, and the bangkok duck was crispy. Living in NJ for 15 years, always searching for a delicious, nearby and reasonably priced Thai restaurant. Origins in Basking Ridge, 45 min away, had been my go to place. Or I hold off until I make a trip to Brooklyn. Finally, angels were singing as I drove by the cute new shopping village in Clark that had Dunkin', jersey mikes and THAI!!! I couldn't get there fast enough and I must say I'm so happy everything was yummilicious. Pad Thai, pad see ew, spring rolls. Curry puffs. Massaman curry. Mango sticky rice and Thai coffee. Food is great but the service was terrible. We got there at 08:30pm and the waitress told us that they were closing at 09:30. Waitress got the wrong order for my son and we have to wait longer. We finally got everybody's food and the waitress came to our table very rude telling us that we need to hurry up that they are closing at 09:30 which we already knew and we were not looking to stay past their closing time. We noticed they still have food to be picked up so they can't close yet. I told her we are almost done you still have food there to be picked up , the waitress again very rude tell me I already told you we are closing at 09:30. I understand they are closing but in a business you need to respect your customers. The last two waitress that they hire definitely need training they don't know how to approach customers. Definitely not coming back to this place, if you are in such a hurry to close at 09:30 you need to stop accepting customers at 08:00 and get the orders right the first time. read more

Went during lunch and was seated immediately. There were a few groups of people already enjoying their food. The decor was nice and clean. The waitress was attentive and patient. I ordered a Thai iced tea, fried shrimp and calamari appetizer with sauce on the side, and chicken pineapple fried rice. The iced tea was a little sweet for my preference but it was still tasty. They brought out a small "salad" before the meal but it was really just one lettuce leaf broken into smaller pieces. Barely enough to fill the bottom of the bowl. The fried shrimp and calamari were cooked well, however I wasn't crazy about the sauce and the batter could have used a little bit of seasoning. I used my remaining salad dressing as a sauce. The pineapple fried rice was delicious however. The entrees were decent portions and fairly priced. I will probably visit this restaurant again. read more
