Ibarra Brothers Printing does not need another five-star review, but I'm writing one anyway because…read morethe level of customer service and product quality I just experienced is beyond anything I've ever experienced. I have a small, 18-pg. booklet that was made for me over 20 years ago -- so old that the file was in PageMaker! But the booklet has important family significance, so I wanted to make copies for my upcoming cousins' reunion dinner in Portland. Assuming that my file was useless, I thought I could at least have flat photocopies made. I could have gone to one of the chains, but ever since the pandemic, I've made it a point to keep my business needs -- not to mention my dollars -- local, because it's been sad to see many local businesses fail after Covid struck the city so badly. And as a long-time resident, San Francisco's financial health is important to me. Well there's a reason Ibarra Brothers Printing has been around for 40 years. And that reason is that they wrote the book on customer service. Jose patiently spent quite a bit of time with my old file. And as we sat at his computer, he ingeniously found a way to convert PageMaker to an updated printable version. The fonts and other formatting issues did not translate in the transition, but Jose took the time to manually and perfectly match the original. I'm pretty sure FedEx Office would have taken one look at my job and said NO WAY! I went into Ibarra Brothers on a Friday. Jose sent me two proofs over the weekend with just minor changes. I couldn't believe it when on Monday morning, I received an email saying that my booklets were ready! Not only did Jose and his team do a fantastic job of recreating my booklets, but they even made an extra copy and then give me a UBS with the new file on it. I can't tell you how thrilled I am with the incredible customer service, attention to detail, reasonable price, quality of printing, and super-speedy completion. On top of all that, Jose Ibarra is a very nice and kind man. People! Please keep your money local! And when you need something printed, please go to Ibarra Brothers. I guarantee you will be as happy as I am.

Ended up being recommended to check out Ibarra and had a memorable visit. Jose helped me out and was an absolute delight. After resizing the prints perfectly, I was charged 4 bucks for each print resized (he even offered to charge me less, but I refused to pay less). An extremely pleasant experience that made my day!

Digitek Printing is a fantastic place for large format prints. My experience with them was quick,…read moreefficient and seamless. I had a large format portrait photograph printed on their black 3/16" gatorboard, laminated in semi-gloss. I uploaded the file to my Google drive, sent them the link and the print was ready the next day. The result is an extremely durable, water and weather resistant, warp-free, color accurate "poster." Although the word "poster" doesn't do justice to what is really a fine art print on super rigid hardboard. Their store front in the Apparel Way office complex off of Industrial (a few blocks from Lowe's on Bayshore) is neat and tidy, and has plenty of street parking. Although I didn't really get to interact with the employees, the gentleman who handed me the extremely well- packaged print (including oversize cardboard backer, so no edges can get dinged--nice!) was very friendly and courteous. The prices for Digitek's prints are quite reasonable, especially compared to inkjet fine-art giclee prints. Plus there is the added bonus of being able to choose foamboard or hardboard (gatorboard) backing, which you an actually touch without ruining the print. The gatorboard print I got is technically "mounted" on the rigid panel. But to my eye, there is no seam. It is as if the photo was a part of the backing or printed directly on it. Again, a color-accurate, durable, very high quality presentation for fine-art photography. I can't recommend Digitek highly enough.

He quickly told me what I needed to bring without making me feel like I was being rushed. Next next went in with my portfolio and blank photo paper. NOTE: It's a bit tricky to find because it does not have a big sign saying "JR PRESS". There's a small sign on a big old red garage door. Keep an eye out for that. When you walk in there is no formal office space, which I didn't mind at all, and a couple people turn around to look at you. An older gentleman walked up to me so I told him I was looking for tom about scoring my paper. After a few minutes Tom came out and quickly brought some pre-scored sheets of paper to see which fit best. In less then 5 minutes he got my info, paper size, and notice of 24 hour turnaround and I was on my merry way. Next day I arrive around 10:00 a.m. and Tom quickly came up to me to show me the final product. Everything looked perfect and he even included some test sheets to get my prints right. I payed him $40 cash and again was on my merry way. Can't thank the team there enough as it would of taken me much longer and less attractive outcome to complete the job myself. Needless to say it was worth every dollar over the stress I could of faced. Thank you J R Press!

Glad I did, because I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I had a last-minute commission that I needed to get printed, and this shop got it done with an incredibly quick turnaround. I sent in my request around noon, calling immediately after to request same-day service, and got the email that the order was completed about 20 minutes after I confirmed the final printing details. The total came out to just short of $16 (due to the rush fee) for five 5 x 7-inch prints, which works great for me. For technical folks like myself: the prints were done on 11 x 8.5-inch card stock with indicators for where I needed to cut (I opted to do it myself to avoid the service fee) and were handed to me in a plastic sleeve. They came out perfect, nothing to complain about. Customer service was great too. I presume I was chatting with Anna, who helped me fetch my prints as soon as I told her my order specifications. She was very kind and payment was quick and painless; the cost was exactly as quoted plus tax (which they warn you about in the emailing stage). Even when I called a couple days ahead to ask about their print details (ie. confirming that they use CMYK, PDF, and ~300 dpi for artwork), the individual on the phone was very direct and easy to speak with, handling all of my questions with ease. I would be happy to come back with any personal projects or future rush orders. Highly recommend!
