It's great having this camera store in Riverside! It's gotten me out of little jams a few times in the past but recently got me out of a huge one! I had a wedding to shoot and needed a Canon 24-70 fast when my regular rental place forgot my reservation and wasn't able to supply me with one. I only had a couple of hours to find one and that's when I contacted Image One. Robert and John, the manager, were super friendly, professional, and really accommodating to me. John had me swing by for that 24-70 and saved my butt big time. Couldn't have successfully shot this wedding without Image One taking care of me. Thanks, Image One!! You're the best! Update 3/7/17 Even happier and more satisfied with Image One nowadays. Always friendly, very helpful, and convenient. John has outdone himself by setting up a comparison test between the Canon 24-70 and the Tamron 24-70 for me. Great customer service all the way! read more

It's so nice to have a professional camera store nearby. Image One offers a variety of equipment, but I love the classes, printing, and professional assistance too. They are a valuable resource for all photography needs. read more

Thanks for the quick help! I was in the store and wanted a lens for a gift. The gentleman was quick to point me in the right direction and answer all my questions. Will definitely be back again for another purchase! read more

I had gone to ImageOne in hopes of buying some new rolls of film for an old Nikon F60 I found in my dad's garage. As someone who's a complete beginner in cameras and photography, I was a little nervous about getting the right purchase. It was my first time buying film but the staff were super friendly and informative in helping me get what I needed to get started. Cheyenne was the one who helped me get the right batteries to turn on my camera and patiently explained all the different types of film they had for me to buy. I ended up buying a roll of Kodak Ultramax 400 and Fujicolor 200 for my first two rolls. By now I've already gone through my first roll of Kodak and am trying out the Fujifilm. I was really happy to hear that they also develop film and am super excited to come back after using up all my rolls. Looking forward to buying more film soon too! Thanks ImageOne and thanks Cheyenne! :D read more

The only reason I give this place a 2* is because they know their stuff..... however I go in with a cannon rebelET7 with a kit lens....the camera had a cracked screen...easily fixable...they told me that it was a big deal breaker because they had to send it to their repair guy...I asked where that was...n he said in the back...really how much could it cost to walk to the back an replace a screen that cost $25...?so in the end they bamboozled me into (writing me a check)... really...for $10 for an above average lense...that check didn't even cover the cost of gas to get there...thanks to a local woman who I came into contact with...while waiting for AAA for gas...bought the camera and was very happy about it. read more

I had a horrible experience with this store. The staff was very friendly but the experience was a headache. On Thursday I bought a new lens. It was ~$650 with an instant $200 rebate so basically I was going to cost $450 +sales tax. I purchased the lens (which I love) and thought that was that. Well when I checked my bank transactions later on, I found that they actually did not issue the rebate. After tax I ended up paying over $700 I called them immediately and was told I would be issued a refund for the $700 and be charged the $500. That's all well and good in my mind. Well, I wake up the next morning and my bank account is over drafted by $400 It seems they have charged my the $500 without having issues the $700 refund. I called them to explain what had happened and one employee said "theres nothing we can do about it" and eventually hung up on me. I got a call back a few minutes later from another employee that essentially said that it is my banks fault. Which I suppose I understand. But, I called my bank and asked if the had any pending deposits from "image 1" and the representative assured me I did not. So in my mind, it seems like they did not issue the refund. Even if my bank is processing it, the representative would be able to see a pending deposit. What would've made sense to do in my mind, is to just give me the $200 rebate in cash? I don't really understand why it needed to be refunded, and repurchased. As of right now, more than 48 hours after the purchase, I have been charged $1200 for a lens that was only supposed to cost $500 And My bank is $400 over drafted. UPDATE The manager is doing everything he can to get the money the store owes me. I could not appreciate his effort more. Thank you John! read more

It's great to have our very own camera store in Riverside! I was sad when Ritz left, but the store came back bigger and better as Image One! As a professional photographer it is great to have a resources in our own community. Shadi and his staff are knowledgeable and always willing to help local photographers of all levels. He's active in the community and generous with his time and knowledge. As a consumer, I recently bought my current pro level camera from this store. The prices were competitive and the service agreement was over the top! I get 3 years of cleaning with my extended warranty. I've been able to purchase my gear when I need it and when there is something I need but not in stock, they make sure to get it! I will keep coming back to this store for my photography gear and encourage other photographers to come here too. read more

I purchased a couple of camera lenses the last time I came into the store. This is a great place to shop for cameras. It brings back memories of the old Phototorium. I have yet been able to go into Imagine One but I know it's a great store. First meeting the owner, Shadi, at Ritz Camera, I was immediately hooked by his professionalism and his easily lovable personality, ensuring that I would be a repeat customer. He was so helpful and informative. Being that I live in the High Desert, it was hard to find a great camera shop with great customer service and the best products. Once I discovered Ritz, I knew that was the best camera store within reasonable distance, due to the customer service that I received from Shadi. Once Shadi left Ritz and went to Calumet, I followed him simply because of his courtesy and knowledge. Now that Shadi opened up Imagine One, I am noting but ecstatic about it. Not to mention the fact that it is closer to me, again, being that I live in the High Desert. I plan on going into Imagine One very soon to get a new camera and gear that I know I will be very happy with. And I know that I will, no matter where he is, always be a customer of Shadi. He's a great guy and very knowledgeable about photography and everything in between. I have heard nothing but great things about Shadi and his entire staff. I look forward to shopping there very soon. read more

Cool to have a local store that carries more than the big box electronics stores.. bummer to just find out i could have got the tripod combo for almost a $100 less online with free shipping. Ive been here a few times, the only times ive felt satisfied is when i had researched the products before coming in and had no questions to ask and was aware of price differences vs online. The last thing you want to hear from a sales man is "i dont know" especially multiple times, about products on the showroom floor. Shadi has been helpful but some of the others didnt seem to know enough about the products to make me want to drive down there vs order online where the knowledge is endless and easy to find competitive pricing. I will continue to come here for last minute needs , but if i have time i will be using internet retailers. I hate shipping, but i love feeling informed and satisfied with how and what i spent my money on. Thanks read more

Thanks Image One for providing this city with a top notch camera and video store. The owner Shadi and his staff are friendly and there camera knowledge is top notch. I came in looking for a back up camera for my wife and there selection was overwhelming. Not knowing much about cameras they walked me through all the pros and cons of several modals. By the time we finished I had a pretty good idea of cameras and really felt I could make the right choice on a great camera for my wife. Keep up the great work guys and Im looking forward to my next visit. read more

great store Elijah was very helpful and knowledgeable on lens and cameras. would recommend coming here.

Had a wonderful experience here. Was prepping for my first shoot since covid went down, and realized I wanted to go above and beyond. I was calling around trying to find good rental prices and awesome gear. I got on the phone with one of the staff who answered all my questions and checked to make sure that the gear I wanted was set aside for me. I got busy on my pick-up date but they held it for me. I am so happy I chose them! The staff was all super friendly and Cheyenne was a huge help. I walked in wanting to rent some lenses and walked out with a camera upgrade I'd waited a year to get. I let Cheyenne know what I was looking for and what I needed and she let me check out their cameras and broke down the benefits for me. Had so much fun with my new R6 and I'm excited to continue to get better and better with it! Here is one shot from the shoot, which went amazingly thanks to the help of Image One!! read more

Great customer service! ! !Took in my old camera to be repaired, was called the same evening regarding the issue. Excellent!!

Did you know Image One Camera and Video, does one on one lessons. Had a lighting class with the manger John on Saturday, learned how to use TTL, with my Nikon Flash, and another after market brand. He also showed me how and in what application to use a light ring and a light wand. Thanks for the amazing lesson. Great gear and amazing staff. read more

I had bought two lights about a year ago with a white backdrop. The lights worked but for the quality and the price one of them was unstable , wobbly. The backdrop stand was weak as well. I did not even realize the manager added sandbags to my cart with a charge of $25 each, but he said to me he will add them free of charge since I spent a bit over $800 on the lights and a backdrop. But no, their [advertised hand made sand bags in the factory nearby] were added , 3 of them , for $75. I just wish I was told, but there are no refunds at the bottom of the receipt . I did not bother returning for some sand bags, ** and I learned my mistake to do more research on the brand of lights I want before I go and trust that I'm spending money on quality lights at a film store. ** and never listen to small talk, it's only to distract you read more

I recently went into the store and spoke with Shadi, the owner, and told him I wasn't really ready to switch from my Canon 5D Mark II to the new mirrorless R6 but that I would give it some thought. He didn't pressure me but instead told me about all the benefits of the new mirrorless cameras. A few days later, after doing some research, I thought I'd call the store and ask if they could get me a Canon 5D mark IV. The gentleman who answered was Oscar. Oscar was quick to offer to help me get one but suggested that I go with the mirrorless camera system as Canon is no longer making DSLR cameras. Oscar again explained why the mirrorless system was better. He also made me realize that by not going with the mirrorless cameras that I'd essentially be lagging behind in the world of professional photography. That sealed the deal for me. A few days later I came into the store and purchased the Canon R6. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Oscar and Shadi were super helpful and I appreciated not being pressured into the purchase. If you're looking for a great camera store to purchase equipment or to rent equipment then this is it. Hands down, Image One is the best camera store in the Inland Empire. Be sure to stop in and check them out. You won't be disappointed! read more

I never really leave bad reviews but it's just disappointing how much this place try's to overcharge and take advantage of you as a customer. Look i get it, COVID... times are rough but cmon. I took my Sony 6400 in to see how much it would cost to replace my broken LCD screen. Which i already knew was the problem, they made me do the $15 dollar check up just to call me and tell me hey your LCD screen is broken. Then proceeded to tell me it's gonna be over $590 to fix. Which I'm like okay let me check LCD screen prices and after looking over Amazon & other places i saw you could buy them as low as $80. Which they are a business i know they have contracts on parts they get at a better price then the average consumer does. Now you mean to tell me labor is gonna cost me $500 plus on something that will take you couple hours maybe to do? If a repair costs as much as basically buying a new camera there's not point in having a repair shop. Maybe they should just stick to selling cameras or lower staff, i saw 6 people just standing around in there talking the 35 mins i was in there. read more

Words cannot describe the friendly and amazing service I received from Image One. As someone from out of state visiting this shop, I was complete shocked by the service. I have to start with complementing on the organization and cleanliness of the store! I also appreciate the professionalism of the entire staff! Not to mention their knowledge of the products on their shelf! I do have to say Shadi went above and beyond how the video camera a friend was going to buy for a local school operated for what the purchase was intended for! We walked out of the store confident with the product we purchased and knowing we can call or come back if we had questions! Hands down this is the ultimate one stop shop for all your camera & video needs! Oh and I'm no photographer but I love the stylish items they have from straps to cases! Kuddos image one! I had a slight issue here that led me to leave a bad review. In his reply, the owner Shadi, gave me his contact information and offered to help. Even while away on business he spent the time to call me and discuss the issue and came up with a solution that I was very happy with. Now THAT is good customer service. As far as the store goes, they have an absolute ton of fantastic equipment and a knowledgeable staff who are willing to take time to ensure your satisfaction. 5 stars for Image One and especially Shadi for coming to the rescue with excellent customer service. read more

The home of the original Phototorium in Riverside, Image One returns as the premiere photography brick and mortar establishment in the Inland Empire. A bold statement, to be sure, but no one and no business can hold a flame to what Image One offers. Staffed with extremely knowledgeable people, they are friendly and will match you to what you truly need- whether it be a camera, accessory or service. They will never oversell you on something that you will never know how to use just to make a sale. They will ask questions which is a very good sign. Most big box retailers staffed with minimum wage earners are rarely knowledgable of what products they have on hand. Here, the staff are able to match a customer with a piece of equipment that matches their needs, level of expertise and/or budget so be upfront and honest of what you are looking for. Be open with your needs and they will match you up with the appropriate service and/or equipment. You don't have to be a high end camera snob to shop here but at the same time, do a little bit of research to help your decision as they have a wide variety of products that can suit your needs. This is the place you need to go to if you're deciding between a mid to high end camera and you're not quite sure which one to go with. They won't sell anything you don't need and they won't push anything on you and they will ask questions, not because they're nosy but they want to see what you will be using the camera for. They do have a great selection of SLRs, lenses, flashes, backdrops, lighting, tripods, monopods, equipment bags, point and shoot cameras and every imaginable accessory. It's a wonderful place to try a news lens (or whatever) hands on. A majorly of this stuff isn't carried by the big box retailers and they certainly won't let you try it out in the store. If Image One does not have an item in stock, they can certainly order it for you. Image One also has in house camera repairs and they will fix your camera regardless where you may have purchased it from. Whether it's a point and shoot to a digital SLR, they will give you an estimate and repairs take about 2 weeks on average, depending on the type of repair and parts needed. Image One does offer on site photo processing and they specialize in large prints. If they're not busy, they can generally get a 16x20 print out while you wait. They do offer 3x5 and 4x6 processing but they do send them out of house for larger orders to keeps costs down. I believe that they do offer 4x6 on site but it is a bit more expensive than if the prints are sent out. Usually there isn't much of a wait to get your pictures developed. This really is one of the last mom and pop camera stores that gives you a personalized solution to your needs. You will see the same staff and if you are a repeat customer, they will remember you and you'll keep coming back with their excellent service and knowledge of your specific needs and wants (ie wishlist of never ending gadgets). I cannot praise this establishment enough. It's always a pleasure coming into here where I really do feel like family. read more

I feel like I wouldn't be where I'm at today if I didn't have this store but more so if I didn't have one of the greatest employee who works there help me every step of the way. From what camera I should buy to how to light my subjects correctly, Robert Meeks has shown me the ways. No joke, I seriously owe a lot of my success to him. But he wouldn't have ever been there if my other favorite guy didn't open this place up and trust in the Meeks an that's mo friggin Shadi! Don't let his massive build scare you. The guy is as sweet as Georgia Pie! I've never had a Georgia Pie but I'm sure it a fricken sweet! YouTube can teach you so much! I damaged my digital Hasselblad. I needed it repaired in a hurry so I call Image One and asked if they serviced cameras in house. They said yes. I went straight over and I was told they might not be able to repair the camera but would have the tech take a look and give me a call. I was hoping that he would be there but was told something about a vacation and that he would be back in a couple of days. A couple of days later I got a call telling me they could do the repair and a quote. Then they said it would be two or three weeks to be repaired. I said I was in a hurry, why would it take two or three week? I got a bunch of nonsense about "quality control" and that they would make an effort to expedite the repair. So, two week go by and I call to ask about the camera. It takes two days to call back and they tell me they cannot repair it. So, it sat around for two and a half weeks before they ever actually took a look. Leave your camera and they might get around to taking a look at it in a few weeks and lie to you about what is going on every step of the way. A mistake I will never make again. read more
