So I decided to book my appointment with Beth and I couldn't be any happier with how everything turned out. I walked in and the receptionists and Beth were so welcoming. Since it was my first time at the salon she took me around the whole salon and showed me everything. She was so genuinely nice and I was only hoping everything would turn out great with my hair. I love this salon and feel very fortunate I just happened upon it via Yelp. Being new to the area, I needed a hair salon. After reviewing online reviews about the salon and BETH, I decided to give it a try. Everyone at the salon is super nice--by far the nicest I've come across in a salon. Atmosphere is relaxing, love the yellow room with complimentary coffee and flavored tea. Beth is fantastic. Color looks fabulous and the cut is one of the best I've had. I have fine hair and Beth was able to cut it in such a way that I now have hair with more bounce and thickness. Parking is easy and location easy to get to. I have been going to Kaila about twice a year for a few years now to get my hair cut, colored and styled and she is amazing! I briefly describe what I'd like and she always does a great job so I never have to worry or be nervous. The salon is super cute and clean and everyone is pretty friendly. The owner usually walks around to check on everyone which is nice. I've gotten manicures and pedicures here too and they're also great! The only downside is gratuity is cash only and I never carry cash so I either have to remember to stop at the bank before my appointment or walk to the ATM in the liquor store down a few doors down. Extremely talented group of ladies at this salon! I have been coming here for over 7 years for all of my cut, color, and waxing needs. Several of the girls through out those years have cut and colored my hair and all have done phenomenal jobs. From the moment you walk in, every person you come in contact with has a smile on their face and makes you feel at home. First time client last night. The team at Image Is gets a A+ for customer service. I was greeted warmly upon my arrival by the receptionist. It was a very friendly, welcoming feeling. Seriously, like they were actual happy to be of service. What took me to this salon was an Amazon local deal for a facial. The facial with Debbie was incredible. I think the full price would be $80, and it was more than worth it. I can't wait to go back. As a first time client, I was supposed to get a gift bag. Apparently, someone forgot it as I didn't even know about it. They took the time to call me and apologize for not providing it to me. So, again, I can't say enough about their customer service. I have been going to Image Is Salon for quite a few years now and I have had nothing but great experiences. If you want a great manicure/shellac/acrylics you definitely want to go to Kelly. I have been to many different nail salons and haven't gotten a better one so far! She is very professional and warm and all of her customers love her. I get my hair done with Christine. I was hesitant to make a change after my stylist I was with for years moved away. As someone who doesn't like change...it is hard to start new :0). This place is amazing, I was very sad to leave it when I moved away from Baltimore! I went to Jenn every month for about 2 years for brow waxes. Besides being the best waxer I have ever been to (my skin was never red at all...how does she do that?!) she is also an extremely nice person. No words can describe how happy I was with my experience at Image Is! Michelle, the manager, is amazing. She took the time to spend 20 minutes on the phone with me while scheduling my first appointment, to discuss my upcoming color correction (my blonde hair had been turned an awful silver color at another salon!) She recommended an apprentice, Chelsey, to help me fix my hair. While I was nervous at first, Chelsey immediately put me at ease with her funny personality and her willingness to reach out to other stylists for their opinions on the best way to correct my hair color. Image Is Salon was a fantastic choice for my bridal updo and bridesmaids' hair. Michele was helpful and communicative leading up to the big day, making planning my wedding from a different state much easier. She wa just as delightful in person when we finally met! I had a fabulous hair trial with Katie where she created to different styles for me in one sitting! For the wedding, I booked Katie and Jamie to tackle myself and my nine bridesmaids. I was afraid that it would take eons to attend to my small army of bridesmaids but Katie and Jamie knocked it out of the park in even less time than we thought! Each girl got a spectaular and unique hair style. My friend with short hair mentioned that she didn't think her hair was long enough for an updo, to which Katie replied "Challenge accepted." And sure enough she created a gorgeous updo! Jamie showed true artistic talent with a stunning fishtail braid done on one of my bridesmaids who will be getting married in Atlanta. My friend lamented that she had already booked her hair person and couldn't fly Jamie down for her own big day. And of course, my hair was a dream. Katie created an effortless bohemian yet classic updo that accomodated my baby's breath crown. She listened to my every note and happily made even the most miniscule adjustments until it was perfect. I danced all night and it stayed put while not looking like it had been shellacked to my head! I went here for the first time this week and it was awesome! I just moved to Baltimore and found them online with a map search. CUTE salon! I emailed to set up an appointment and the owner emailed me in a timely fashion to set it up. I told her my hair type and she recommended Staci - and she was PHENOMENAL! I went to Image Is... and got partial highlights with cut and style using a LivingSocial deal. With Livingsocial/Groupon deals, you typically get an appointment with newer or less experienced stylists and, at other salons, I have felt at times, also a somewhat lower level of service than full-paying customers. Amira did my hair and it was one of the best experiences I have had getting my hair colored. When I arrived and told her it was my first time visiting, she showed me around the the salon and explained all of the services they offer. I felt like a truly valued customer, despite it being my first visit (with a discount coupon, no less). The stylists really seem to enjoy working at this salon, and Amira answered all of my questions about the highlighting process and what products were used when/why, etc. It did take a bit longer than it probably should have - I was there around 2.5 hours, but I got at least double the highlights as at other salons where I've gotten partials done. Also, I told Amira I had an event that evening, so instead of just blowing my hair out after the cut, she went over it with a curling iron and made it look absolutely gorgeous. On top of all that, since it was my first visit, I got 25% off any products (I purchased a travel size hair spray for doing my own curls at home) and a goodie bag from the salon including coupons for 30% off any service I hadn't received (so anything but partial highlights), as well as one for a free brow wax, face-framing highlights, or conditioning treatment with any paid service. I came in on a Saturday as a walk in, looking for a mani pedi. Based on the number of people there, I didn't think they'd have space for me, but fortunately they did. I was paired with Amy, a senior technician, and all she told me was that since she was senior her prices were higher than standard prices. I was ok with that, and we agreed to move forward. The service was lovely and the pedicure was fine, but the manicure was not. The manicure chipped on two fingers after three days, which has never happened to me before. My last manicure from another salon lasted THREE weeks with no blemishes - not a gel manicure, a regular one. Needless to say, chipping after three days is absurd, especially after paying $70 for the whole package. Amy also left polish on my skin around my nails saying that it would wash off. That's true, it will, but other manicurists pay attention to making the polish look amazing. I had hoped my experience would be better but it wasn't and I wasn't pleased. Despite the packet of discounts I received as a new client, I won't be returning. read more

When I was looking to make a drastic change to my hair (I chopped off a lot of length), I decided to go back. Best decision I've ever made. I've been going there regularly since to see Shannon, and it (and she) is the absolute best. Shannon is so kind and personable, not to mention fantastic with hair.
