I had a scheduling conflict with my normal salon and decided to try this place due to the great reviews. I had an early appointment and was the second one in the salon. Nobody greeted me so I just sat down and started looking at colors. Finally someone yelled asking what I was there for and I let them know I had an appointment. A few minutes later someone came to get me. I went in for dip. My nails are already shaped, so the service should be much easier and quicker (as it is when I go to my other place) It took an hour and a half to do this and she continued to cut me up. I kept flinching in pain and told her she was hurting me yet she couldn't seem to stop-and you can see in the below pictures how bad they look and the few cuts I got. Overall, I disliked everything about this place and will never go back. What makes it worse is the bill was $59 and I'm struggling to find the value. While I was there, a male employee was taking a phone call on speakerphone which I found unprofessional. Not sure how this place is getting such rave reviews, as I found no redeeming qualities. I guess they offer a drink service, but I was not asked if I wanted anything. Edited: After 6 days, I already have a chipped nail. I'm not doing anything I wouldn't typically do and don't use my nails to open things. I have never gotten a chip with dip before.
I've been to Charming's multiple times and can confirm it's a hidden gem located in a shopping center. Once you enter you completely forget that the salon is near a super busy section of York Road with a swim school next door. The decor is nicely appointed and the selection of services is long. I recommend checking in with the iPad in front to keep track of your visits and to earn points towards future visits. It has never been crowded during any visit (planned or unplanned). There is a separate private area in the back that you can choose to have your services performed for an additional cost. I really enjoy the pedicure service. In life you get what you pay for, so yes there are upgraded salon experiences that will increase the price of service. And at the price point you should definitely mention if something needs adjustment, another coat, etc. I have always been offered a complimentary beverage and usually select red wine. Prior to the pandemic I have received various manicures and some were hit or miss. If you are lucky enough to receive service from the owners you are in for a treat. The only negative I've noticed is more than once Ive been able to smell smoke inside the salon based on the location of an employee's smoke break. Outside of this I highly recommend a visit.
Charming Lounge is by far the best nail salon in Baltimore. It is clean, efficient, large. Taylor is so creative and takes her time while doing my nails and has so much skill. She is always up to date on all the newest nail trends. She always makes sure the customer is happy with the end result . She knows her loyal customer and all the technicians are friendly. My nails last a very long time!! I highly recommend charming lounge to anyone looking for an incredible nail salon!
I just started to love getting my nails done and this place is becoming to be one that I frequent the most. I've been here 3 times and every time they've been super nice and they do a great job. The pedicures are wonderful. Great place to treat yourself and prices are reasonable too. They don't give me a hard time about tipping via Venmo which is nice since I never carry cash.
Charming Lounge Was one of the few salons I tried when I first moved to MD from NY in January of 2024. I tried their hard gel and a gel pedicure. I had my nails done once & I never looked for another place again! I love this nail salon! It's my go to, Tyler, Steven and their team are always super nice and accommodating. My nails always look amazing when I get them done! Hard gel was difficult to find when I first moved, as not every salon has technicians who can do them but they do! My nails have never looked bad since I started coming here :)
Came here because it was off the typically path and a needed a fill-in in a pinch. Walked in and there were only two techs. They were able to fit me in but had a full day. Over all I loved my nails, he took his time and did a great job, but because of the time frame and lack of staff I would definitely call and schedule an appointment.
Always kind, prompt, and professional. I have been coming here for the past 7 months and Tyler always does a fabulous job every time. She's a star :) Highly recommend!!
Moving to Cockysville, I was trying to find my nail home and this place did it for me! First of all, you come in and they offer you a drink (tea, water, wine, whatever you want) and they are kind and friendly. I have a left side pelvis misalignment so when I get a pedicure I have a problem keeping my left leg straight. Getting my toes done can be very painful for me cause my left leg wants to swing outward. When I told the nail tech that she let me put my left leg down and she bent to pedicure that foot. It was literally the most comfortable pedicure of my life. I have always struggled to keep my left leg straight and it's been at times very painful for me and she made this experience so comfortable for me. I think her name was Helen and she was amazing! I did not get the name of the sweet lady who did my finger nails and just did an awesome job. This is a review of my last visit, but the three times I have been there I was treated so well. This will be my regular spot! I love this place. I'm in love with this place!
Friendly and welcoming with immediate service on a Sunday afternoon. Beautiful and clean location with reasonable prices. I have found my go-to spot!
There so awesome. I worked with this lady she had short hair, I forgot her name but she was amazing. She was so so sweet, and I will be going back. I got a french manicure with a flower design with french on my toes. Even with the 15 min wait they made it worth my while, nice drinks, with an amazing leg message, and it's just an amazing salon and area. Most definitely recommend
Steven did an acrylic chrome set for me & he did such a great and beautiful job! I can't stop staring at my nails. He also did a great French mani on my toes. Everyone at the salon was very friendly, the salon was very clean, and prices were reasonable.
Ok, so let me say I almost don't want to leave a review so I can keep this place to myself, but a place like this is too good not to share. Super friendly staff, a super clean and relaxing space, and the choices of services/colors? Way better than most. An provided an amazing pedicure and polish, totally revived my neglected feet. Then came the manicure - I opted for tips and gel powder and I can honestly say I left with the prettiest nails I've ever had. For a seal salt pedicure, tips, gel dip and design it was $105 but there was a 20% discount which made it around $84. All in all, for the attention to detail An provided, I was not phased by the price. Check them out if you have the time! Convenient location and hours - plus they are running a 20% off discount all month.

I love Charming Lounge. It's very zen, no televisions, just easy listening music playing. The decor is muted beiges and the place is always spotlessly clean. They have a large collection of colors in polish, gel polish, and dip powder. They also do something called hard gel that I've never seen anywhere else. I come all the way out here from Canton to get hard gel manis done by Vicky. My nails have never looked so good. read more

I got my nails done on Sunday.. today is Friday. I have 3 broken nails and all others are lifted from the nail bed. I've been getting my nails done 20 years and I've evolved with nail fashion. I paid 80 for ombré nails that lasted 5 days!!! I'd recommend Tammys Nails in cranbrook shopping center, Charming is a good place for pedicures otherwise it's all looks without quality work UNLESS he did my nails this way to force me back in the salon. I WONT BE BACK! read more

This nail spa is so relaxing and clean! The decor is nice and spa-like. Every single time I have had a service here, I have left thrilled. The pedicures are so relaxing. I almost don't want to recommend them because they are like a hidden gem! 100% will make the drive to come here. read more

I came here solely from other Yelp reviews. And I have to say, THEY WERE RIGHT! Atmosphere- super relaxing, very clean, white and gold color scheme gives it an upscale spa look... Service- After I checked in for my appointment on their iPad at the front desk, I was quickly taken back. I got a manicure w/ SNS dipping powder and a spa pedicure. Steven was AMAZING. The color dip powder I chose was being a pain. Apparently neon colors are a different consistency than other colors and it makes it extremely difficult to work with. I attempted to change my design/color at least twice bc I could see that Steven was getting frustrated. But he wouldn't let me. He figured out a different way to apply the powder and it turned out even better than I imagined. The pedicure was heaven on earth. Their prices range from about $30-$75 for different levels of pedicures. I chose one right in the middle at $50. I got a scrub, callus remover, massage, hot towel mud mask AND paraffin dip. Overall- Even though I was the last customer here, no one rushed me or made me feel like I was a trouble. The manager, Taylor, checked on me constantly and offered bottle water. I WILL be coming back. I wish more people knew about them so they stay in business after this pandemic. But I also liked being treated like a princess and having all their attention lol. read more

I was a little hesitant to get my nails done since lockdown , but Charming Lounge Nails Spa couldn't have given me a better experience. The staff is supefriendly , the atmosphere is calming, and there are plenty of colors/designs to choose from. All in all, I had a great first experience. read more

The service is good, fast, and the employees are very nice, and they did a good job painting. However, my nails were badly damaged and hurt for over a week because they used drills and drilled too deep on my nail bed. My nails looked beautiful but were damaged by their nail drills - the nails were pinkish-red in some spots where they had buffed too much of my nail away, and it was quite sore. I have gotten my nails done at other salons were they did not use drills, and my nails never looked or felt like they did after here. read more

July 5 after work went to get my nails done around 5:30 pm. All the staffs were on vacation and only the owners were there. But the lady still let me come back at 630. That was very kind of her to do. She did my nails and gave me this beautiful, dainty design. I didn't ask her for it, but I let her do her thing. I love this simple, minimal look. Did an excellent job. Thank you! read more

Imma keep it real short...used to live in cockeysville but now I live near BWI and let me say I'd take the 35 minute trip down here to get treated right period. I got gel manicure and pedicure. They gave me wine and tea how delightful. Great services. Very CLEAN. Don't come here if you're not tipping because they're not like every other nail salon this is class read more

Out of all the nail salons I've been to in the Towson/Lutherville area, this has been the best. I treated myself to a pink gel manicure and my brother to a clear coat manicure for his birthday, and we both had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is very soothing and peaceful, and the staff were friendly and did an excellent job on our nails. We'll definitely be back. read more

I normally don't leave bad reviews since I understand that no one is perfect. However, it was my first time visiting this salon (I picked it based on the high review rating) and I got really disappointed by the provided work. The atmosphere itself was good and welcoming (1 star for it and for pedicure which was done ok). What made me very upset is the work which was done to my nails. I got 5 cuts on my fingers while the lady was cutting my cuticles. Also, 30% of my cuticles was not removed and the polish which she put looks far away from perfect (on some fingers it looks like it's been already a week). I'm sorry but for the pretty high price of the services I believe the work should be done if not perfectly but at least very close to it. I have gone to much cheaper places with a waaaaay better work. read more
