since my first review, i have been coming here for haircuts every so often and had great experiences with all of them. i really appreciate that i can book appointments through their website and communicate over email as i HATE phone calls. shelly is an absolute doll and is very accommodating and helps problem solve so you get the best services for your wants/needs. the past 1.5 years i have been getting my hair cut with camille. she always does a lovely lived-in shag cut which grows out beautifully. even 6 months after getting a cut i have people complimenting my hair. i also recently incorporated dye with zoe (shelly's rec for the style i wanted). shelly organized my cut and dye appointments seamlessly. i am a go with the flow kind of person when it comes to my hair, so i gave zoe a lot of freedom with the dye and the end result was exactly what i wanted (probably better than the reference photos honestly). everyone i have interacted with at crafted have been really friendly and personable and i feel very comfortable in the space. also the music is great. as long as i live within a reasonable amount of distance from crafted i will probably continue to get my hair done here. read more

I moved to the area about three months ago. My hair was in desperate need of a cut and was becoming difficult for me to manage. I had read positive reviews for Crafted and called to make an appointment. I showed up to my appointment with my stylist, Byron. He was very friendly and took time to talk about options and figure out what would be best for my hair. I decided to take quite a lot off since warmer weather is coming and I wanted a change. He did an amazing job with my curls! I love the way they lay and look. I've had some bad experiences in the past with my hair ending up poofy when going short, but now it looks healthy and my curls are well defined. I've been to Andi for a haircut twice and appreciate her attention to detail and making sure she truly understands the kind of cut I want. I love what they stand for and their values. Next, I've been looking for a reasonable priced curly haircut and byron did such a phenomenal job. Some people say they know how to cut curly hair but really they don't and they butcher it and this was not the case. Got two haircuts by Asia with completely different styles and lengths. They both were along the best cuts that my wavy, unruly hair has ever received. Not only Asia is extremely talented in cutting and styling hairs, she also really worked with me to come up with a cut that worked for me. Additionally spending time with Asia is really pleasant and unlike many of my salon experiences I did not find myself having to engage in small talks. I love this place. I came here after getting a *horrible* haircut elsewhere that left me really anxious about trying a new spot and this place is now the only place I trust. When I first came in, I told/showed them about the experience, and what I had asked for - it was the first time I cried over hair. The folks at Crafted were *AMAZING*. They set me up with the right person when I had asked for someone else, this person asked lots of questions and even offered suggestions based on my hair and my experience (ie. "this might look drastic - would that feel ok after your last experience?") They get how personal it is and they showed me true and genuine care. I now see Joaquin, who is amazing and SO talented and fun to talk to (said from an introvert, so that's high praise), but I have never had even the briefest interaction with someone that wasn't just pure joy. I have curcle/wavy hair, and I'm just cracking into my 40s, so expecting it to change, and I feel like I can talk about what I need really easily, and they get it. Bethany Bethany Bethany! This woman is on fire!! She was able to get me in last minute and literally KILLED IT! In a good way. I am so in love with my hair, I haven't been dark in ages and I feel refreshed and younger. I absolutely adore it, a better job could not have been done. She even put a few neon colors in it that UV light up, how fun! My boyfriend wanted to gift me hair for his birthday(lmao) and tried to make it a surprise but it's hard to do that and find a quality person that can take you soon because anyone usually worth going to will be booked up. She runs her long nails through the curls checking out their weight and pattern and porosity. Then she mixes all of that knowledge together with a whole boatload of talent to give a haircut that speaks to my personality, is super easy for me to style, makes me feel great, and is not something I would have picked from a photo but totally adore. tl;dr: Asia is great hairstylist, had an awesome time getting my hair dyed and chatting to her all afternoon, and have gotten at least 20 compliments in the past few days. Would recommend. The long version: I've wanted to dye my hair for the past 8 years, have been saving up, and finally decided it was time to do it! CONSULTATION: Asia was really knowledgeable and gave me the rundown on how to take care of bleached hair, what hair products would be better to use, how to prevent fading, etc. etc. She also gave me a quote and answered all the questions I had on haircare and color-depositing conditioners. CUT: I'm happy with the cut she gave me, but it also wasn't anything too drastic. COLORING: Throughout the 6 hour process, Asia walked me through what she was doing and why. She was very friendly and fun to chat with during the long procedure, and in the end, when the color was a lot redder than I wanted it to be, she spent extra time (pushing one of her other appointments later) to make it more orange, and I really appreciated that. 100% would recommend to a friend! read more

This is my second visit to Crafted Hair Studio to get my hair cut by Asia. I had received a really bad haircut. Asia was recommended to me. She did some excellent damage control on the first visit. This visit she was able to shape it masterfully. I like it better than the original cut I was angling for. She talks to you quite a bit about what you want. She gives suggestions and sorta shows you what she's talking about. She's very knowledgeable and takes her time with you. All the employees are friendly and engaging. Asia is going to be my stylist from now on. Another thing I like about the space is that it seems more intimate. I LOVE this salon! I visited a few months ago for a trim with Alex. Alex is amazing! She took the time to talk to me about my hair and even showed me how much she was taking off before she cut my dead ends. Also, the price you cannot beat. I assumed I would pay $100 for my hair cut and ended up paying about half. Last week I went in to get my hair colored. I showed a few pictures to Alex and again she really took the time to explain everything to me and laid out several options to choose from to get the color I wanted. I love the end result!
