We love lighting, it's the jewelry of the house. We did a major remodel on our house inside and out. When it came to the outside lighting, all we knew were the standard walkway lights, a few bushes and trees up lighting and maybe through a few that would cast on the house. We interviewed several landscape lighting companies. Chuck came out and discussed his specialty is not on the lighting but more on the effects of the lighting. He focused on the look we want to accomplish. He was very detailed on the special accents of our house and brought out things we didn't even think of. Chuck and his technicians are very professional and care about their work. They also made modifications a few times so we could achieve the look WE wanted. We highly recommend Illuminated Concepts for all your landscape lighting needs. read more

Further to my review on 1/9/24, I am very appreciative to details, as it is the "little things" that DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE with any work that is done, whether it be for lighting or anything else. With that being said, I asked Daniel, the KEY PERSON on the original job and one of the Senior people in the company, to come back out to do some minor adjustments. This was NOT A PROBLEM. Upon completing the minor adjustments, Daniel noticed something else that he wanted to complete, but required him to, once again, come back, as he did not have with him the color match of some caulking he did. In summary, HOW MANY COMPANIES DO YOU/WE KNOW that care about ATTENTION TO DETAIL and FOLLOW-UP on their work, as needed! I know VERY, VERY, FEW!!!!! read more

We just had our lighting upgraded by Illuminated concepts in the backyard and LOVE the results! Chuck initially came out and designed the perfect plan. The crew - Antonio, Michael, Daniel A., and Kurtiss did an outstanding job with great attention to detail and quality. Super impressed with how hard working, professional, and friendly they are! We received a quote for the front yard too, and will plan to hire them for that in the future. Highly recommend them. read more

Illuminated Concepts will do a fine job for you! Chuck came out to perform an assessment of my current lighting system as well as perform discovery on what opportunities my ground had for lighting. I received a same-day proposal, a full explanation of what work would be performed, and some options to choose from. Fast forward a couple of weeks and the IC team was all over my front yard and back patio with a complete crew, making my lighting the most beautiful on the block! I'm not kidding, my house is lit like the white house now. I'm a new homeowner and my new lighting has already helped me start conversations with neighbors. I've passed IC contacts out to friends. All in all, IC achieved the goal, "Make William's house as gorgeous at night as it is during the day! As far as pricing, they will clearly outline the cost of every light fixture they install as well as installation fees. Their approach allows for a flexible and well-structured proposal that can scale up or down based on your budget and priorities. Special Thank you to IC! read more

The whole process was super easy! The consultation process was great and showed us exactly what type of design we could do and they explained the benefits of lighting specific areas. We also really appreciated the sample photos of the different light types so we could get a better idea of what the different proposed lights would look like. Installation was super smooth, everyone was professional and we have a brand new exterior feel after just a day and a half! It looks great and so happy with the overall process! read more

Chuck and his great team put a face lift on my back yard a few years ago and provided plenty of "FREE REALSTATE" by lighting up some association trees common areas around my property that added a ton of depth and beauty to my back yard. I recently went on to phase II, replacing old lights from 24 years ago in my front yard, put a new transformer and new wiring in, added lights that not only showed off my yard, but FREE REALESTATE on my neighbor's palm trees and 2 more association trees. Chuck and team lit up the porch, garage, bottom of my house and top. Boy what a great facelift! Daniel, Antonio, and Jason cleaned my existing back yard fixtures from a couple years ago, replaced all the bulbs, and put lights on my house to illuminate my barbeque, back yard for corn hole, fire pit, and dining/game table. Everything looks awesome. You get what you pay for and my wife and I are extremely happy. I would recommend Chuck and his courteous and professional crew any time! read more

Illuminated Concepts was referred to us by a neighbor that used them for their house. I'm glad she did. We had old landscape ligthing installed by the previous homeowner and it was slowly showing its age. I wanted a fresh design with energy efficient LED lighting. Aaron came for the initial consultation and created a great design with some elements that i would never have thought about. The pricing was straightforward and i had options to change anything in the design. During the install the team was extremely professional and left my property clean. I would highly recommend them to any of my friends. read more

Recently we updated our garden. As part of that process we felt we needed to replace our landscape lighting. We previously used Illuminated Concepts on very small repair job and were pleased. We also reviewed their Yelp ratings and decided to consider them for a larger job. We've owned our home for 4 years. The existing lighting was, at best, a random assortment of lights. The wiring was exposed. Our objectives were to improve our pathway lights for safety, to highlight trees and key lighting areas. Finally we wanted to update the wiring and timers. Chuck and Aaron came out to our home, listened to our needs and made some wonderful suggestions on how to improve our lighting. It was an extremely pleasant experience. We were upgrading our system which included higher quality lighting, upgrading/burying the wiring and replacing the timers. We felt that the cost quoted was fair considering the number of lights, the quality of the products we were using and the installation process. Wanda, working at the office, was always helpful. All the communication was handled in a professional and timely manner. Once we signed the contract an installation time was scheduled. On the install date, Chuck, Aaron, and the installation team arrived and walked through the project. Everyone had an understanding of the project. The installation team included Jose, Jason and Christian. I can only say they were outstanding. In a job like this small adjustments need to be made. The installation team were always helpful in making suggestions, listening to and addressing our questions. Just a great experience. The old adage is you get what you pay for is so true. These folks delivered a quality project from the beginning to the end. Obviously, we highly recommend them. read more

Wanda was incredibly friendly on the phone and scheduled a team to inspect several outdoor lights that weren't working. I expected that they all needed to be replaced, but Daniel and team arrived and repaired each fixture within an hour's time. Huge thanks to Illuminated Concepts! read more

Illuminated Concepts just completed our landscape lighting project. Chuck and Aaron designed the system and, fortunately for us, directed Antonio and Leif to install new state of the art lights and timer. We appreciated the exceptional service and plan on working with Antonio and Leif when we begin our backyard project. Thank you Chuck. Joe and Mel C Laguna Hills. read more

Illuminated concepts did a fantastic job of installing string lights for our business. We had a large yard with changes in elevation and they were able to design a beautiful setup to light up the yard. The whole time through everyone was super helpful and quick to respond and they made a last minute change without a problem. I'd highly recommend using this team for any lighting needs and I know we will be using them for all future projects. Thank you so much. read more

We have had outdoor lights installed for about 2 years. What a difference it made. Our home is much more inviting along with safer for entering up to our front door. We were unsure about having them back out to clean the lights and if it would make much of a difference. What a pleasant surprise! I did not realize how much brighter the lights would be. We plan on having them out every year now to clean the lights. All of their workers are professional, courteous and know what they are doing. This is the best thing we have done for the exterior of our home. read more

Illuminated Concepts created and installed an extensive whole yard lighting scene for us recently and it was the most amazing and seemless experience I have had with a contractor in years!! Chuck and Aaron walked me through an illustrated design of the project and stayed very hands on throughout the entire project. We are fortunate to have a beautifully designed and landscaped backyard. Our nighttime lighting for our front and back can most generously be described as a "nice try!" Our pal, the person who designed and built our yard, told us he had his outdoor lighting completely redone by Chuck Evans and his company "Illuminated Concepts." Our pal, a pretty persnickety guy, told us "best money I've spent in 30-years!" We asked Chuck Evans to come by for a consult. Chuck and his team were, in every regard, polite, professional and full of good ideas. While we were not able to afford the kind of dreamscape of lighting that Chuck proposed; Chuck offered to fine tune and upgrade our current system for what we strongly feel was a very fair price. Chuck's team arrived in their custom painted "Illuminated Concepts" van on time. The 3-man crew that worked at our home were really extraordinary. The fact is they were three very experienced and hard working guys. Even though Chuck described our finished product as a tune-up; now our evenings in the backyard have a wonderful glow we've never experienced! Thanks Chuck! read more

All the folks at Illuminated Concepts have been super responsive and helpful. They have serviced my landscape lighting, which was installed by another provider now out of business, and each time they helped me they were fast (but not rushed), and extremely helpful. I tried to give them a tip and they wouldn't accept it, asking instead that I write a review. It's a pleasure to do so, as I would give them an outstanding rating. Special thanks to Wanda and Antonio. Thanks, Pam read more

I am extremely happy with not only the end result of my landscape lighting project, but I feel that I got a great deal and also trust that if I have any issues in the future with the products or labor I will be taken care of. Chuck, the owner of the company, come out to my house and was very nice and easy to work with. We went over what I wanted done, and stressed I needed it done in a timely matter to coincide with a new driveway and porch paver installation I was doing, because of the need to run wiring and conduit under everything. Chuck was very flexible with this timing, and was very responsive via text message and phone calls. Chuck's design and vision of how the lighting should look on my house was also right on the money. He used top grade LED fixtures, most of which are a nice metal housing in Oil Rubbed Bronze finish. Also, one of the guys who was working on the stone veneer for a planter outside my house accidentally cut and destroyed one of the electrical cables he ran, and Chuck sent a guy out at no charge to repair this wire... that is a testament to their customer service and the desire to make a customer happy. Overall, dealing with dozens of contractors over the years I would rate Chuck & his company Illuminated Concepts as one of the best I have hired, period. Thanks again man! read more

Chuck gave us a fair estimate and offered good ideas. The results were better than I expected and they were done faster than I expected. The team that rolled out was clean cut, friendly, professional and happy to answer any questions. Most importantly, we were so happy with the back yard work we asked Chuck to come back and quote an upgrade for all our front yard lighting, too. We highly recommend Illuminated Concepts. From the time Chuck (President) and Aaron came to our house to discuss our lighting needs and make recommendations, we found them to be very professional and friendly. We are aware that IC works on very large jobs including corporate clients, however, we felt our small residential needs were just as important to them as their larger contracts. The entire staff at IC was very helpful throughout the project. Chuck comes with an extensive background in lighting. Dan, the onsite supervisor was extremely knowledgeable, polite and wanted to make sure we were happy with the work as it was being done. Two weeks after the completion of the job, Aaron came by at night to see our lights and make a final inspection and to insure we were satisfied with the job. We couldn't recommend them more highly. read more
