Natalie performed some sort of hair stylist magic and turned my lifeless, thin, sad hair into a fun, exuberant, cheerful work of art. Lest you think I am kidding- check out the photos. This happened. This is a long overdue review. I think I have gone to Natalie since 2017. Straight up one of the most trusted person to go to for a haircut. I took a 2 year pause from going to her during COVID (had my wife cut my hair) and recently went back to Natalie again. I heard about Illumi Salon through a friend of mine. This may have been my second time dying my hair in a salon, and trust me when I say it's worth it! The location itself is in a top notch area in downtown Mountain View. There is a parking lot right next to the business, and it's free to park there. Just remember to park in the #3 parking lot location. There are two available spots for Natalie's clients. If you ever want to grab a bite of poke, coffee or a healthy smoothie, it's just right across the street. When you walk towards her business, there's tons of greenery and a lovely fountain for you to view, as you're waiting for your turn to go inside. Natalie takes the health of her customers, as well as herself seriously. The customers come in one at a time and per appointment only. When you go inside, make sure to wear a mask. The inside of her shop is elegant and has great vibes. I felt like a princess because I was literally the only one there, unlike other salons where you have to wait in line with a lot of people. Natalie was very accommodating. We had great conversations and she even gave me a snack. As for my hair, I asked for a chocolate colored balayage. Overall, it took about 3 hours, which is the exact amount of time that she stated to me prior to my appointment. During that time, she cut my hair, dyed it, conditioned it, washed it, blow dryed it and then styled it. Throughout the process, she explained it detail the reason behind why she did each thing. It was an amazing experience and I'm truly grateful to have had my hair done by Natalie. I recommend going to Illumni Salon, as the experience was a 10/10.
