I went to get a haircut with Nina and I regret having haircut after getting it done. I wanted to get my hair trimmed and layered with V shape line. She did what I requested but the result is not satisfying rather dissapointing. Hair has been trimmed way too much - usually trimming and layering done in the inner layer of the hair, not outer layer but somehow she did both inner and outer which makes my hair look very messy. It was $85 total not including tips ($10 extra charge due heavy hair). If I could reverse time and decide whether or not to get a haircut, I wouldn't at least with Nina. read more

I had an appointment with Nina today. She has 15 years of experience cutting hair. She was extremely thoughtful and heard out my concerns about my hair. She had great suggestions and put so much care into making sure it was to my liking. She taught me about how to take care of my hair and also how to use the products. She is open to questions and has an eye for haircare! I got a toner, treatment and haircut. It was so affordable! Nina is so great. I booked with Nina Phan to do color and a big chop. and it turned out exactly how I wanted it to! She did such a great job matching the color of my natural hair and giving me the cut I wanted. My current hair was very long, down to my waist and it was a brassy blonde with a lot of grow out. It was very hard to maintain and I just wanted to start over. She was very thorough in her cut and gave me very nice layers with bangs that frames my face. She also recommended and gave me a hair treatment to combat the brittle and dry breakage in my hair from previous bleach and dye jobs. Before I left, she also gave me advice on how to maintain my hair and to prevent it from being so dry and tangled. Nina was very professional and helpful and I would 10/10 recommend her. I love Kim! She's really attentive to detail and knows what she's doing. She listens to any concerns you might have and goes slowly when cutting off length to make sure you're comfortable. She gave me exactly what I showed her (U-shape with face framing pieces just below the chin) and I couldn't be happier! I went months without a haircut because I moved and was scared of just going to anyone, but I'm so glad I found her. P.S. My husband dropped me off at the salon so he could walk around downtown with our dog while I got my hair done, and when Kim saw them waiting outside she was super accommodating and was adamant they sit inside. Tweety did an amazing job with my haircut. I wanted more layers and I needed her to fix my bangs (that I had tried cutting myself at home but messed up). She made everything look blended and smooth, just how I wanted it. Also, my hair is naturally pretty heavy towards the ends so the roots can look flat/weighted down, so she helped to thin out the weight a bit without making my hair looked chopped up - such a nice blended haircut! Do not come here if you are expecting high quality salon service and good result. My hair color fade terribly after 1 months. The hairdresser is one of the rudest person I've get interacted in the bay area. I don't know if this is cultural, but she keeps saying no and pushing my head around during the session. Super unprofessional and they charged $$$$$ while the service is horrible. read more

Once I arrived, Tweety asked me what I wanted and she gave me advice on what could be done to my hair. My hair was originally dry and dead at the bottom, so she recommended a treatment for my hair. It was my first time here and really didn't know what to expect. Appointment system was easy to use and was able to book a stylist pretty quickly. Staff were really nice as well, and there was virtually no wait time even though I was 10 minutes early. However I came in and showed my stylist multiple photos of what I wanted and walked out with something completely different. Not a ton of words were exchanged but I thought my stylist understood what I wanted through all of the photos I showed her. None the less the cut isn't awful, and hair will grow back, it's just not what I wanted and the finished cut looked nothing like the photos that were shown. I think I will come back and try another stylist next time. read more

Nina and Quinn jumped in together and did a fantastic job on removing some home kit color, adding a new base color and then applying new highlights, and finished off with a great new cut. The team works together to help clients, they went the extra mile despite the time that it took, and I left with exactly what I needed. Would definitely recommend. read more

Was able to book a kids haircut same day, glad there was availability with Lily. I booked online but they might accept walk-ins. First time here and Lily did a great job with my daughter's hair. She checked with me during the cutting process to make sure it's how I wanted done. I cringe at the cost of kids haircut but this place does it nicely and at a reasonable price ($25 cut + $15 shampoo) so wasn't too bad. My daughter enjoyed the experience and we'll def be back. read more

So I will start by saying I really liked the end result of my hair. It came out a little darker than I asked but not really worried about it. It'll be the color I want in a couple weeks I'm sure. As far as Jenny's skills go, she's good. For her alone, I would give 5 stars. But, and this is why I can't give 5 or even 4 stars. The place is pretty dirty/unkept for how much money you spend (high $200's for basic color and cut)/how they portray themselves online. The assistant she had working for her is not good and does not know (or maybe care) what she is doing. She helped with various stages of my hair and was very rough with everything she did. But the biggest thing she did was.... WASHED OFF MY EYEBROWS AND MAKEUP I could feel how sloppy she was being when she was washing so of course I look in the mirror and sure enough. Immediately Jenny saw and gasped, then ran and got her brow pencil to fix my brows without me even saying anything. The foundation on my forehead was completely washed off too which I had to just fix up when I left since I wasn't heading home right away. I have been to many salons through my 36 years and never have I had my whole forehead involved in my hair washing. She was just very rushed, rough, sloppy, and overall just seemed to be hating her job. But, even with this, I might try Jenny again just because she was great, friendly, and made my hair very nice. Maybe then I'll change my review if the experience is better. read more

I booked a 6:00 appointment with Nina and my husband booked a 5:45 appointment with Tony, but neither of them were working there when we arrived. My husband went first, and a lady (whose name we don't know I think Tweety but not 100% sure) washed his hair without using a towel, leaving his shirt completely soaked. When it was finally my turn, half an hour after my scheduled time, I had a similar experience during the hair wash. The same woman seemed very rude and was overly aggressive when drying and combing my hair. When I asked for more layers, she told me I already had them--which I did, from my previous haircut. She didn't even add any new layers. I'm giving 3 stars because the haircut itself isn't terrible, but the service was awful. read more

I like the option to book online with transparent pricing. I had a root touch-up, which I was pleased with the end result. In regards to the blow dry; the assistant did not use a brush ...only her hands. Soni left with frizzy dry hair. I guess using a brush to blow dry my hair is extra? I am not sure that I will be back. Jenny gave me a haircut and it was just as I had requested. I wanted a 90's long bob-esque cut and that's what she delivered. She is also very knowledgeable about hair in general and gave me a lot of tips on how to care for and style my hair. Highly recommend! It's also super close to downtown Mountain View so you can take a nice walk around after you get your hair all taken care of!! read more

I've seen her twice now: the first time was in November of 2024, and the second time was recently. The first time I saw her I got a short haircut and I was nervous about whether or not it would suit me as I've had long hair for the majority of my life. However, she reassured me that she wouldn't agree to the haircut if she didn't think it would suit me. In the end I was very happy and satisfied! She also helped thin out my hair as I had told her that my hair was feeling very dense and heavy. She's extremely knowledgeable and could tell that I had cut my own bangs haha. This second time I saw her I actually hadn't had a haircut since my first visit so it had grown out quite a bit. I told her I wanted a hush cut and that I had the same concerns about the weight of my hair. Again, she helped lighten the weight as well as gave me the exact cut that I wanted. She also didn't judge me for dyeing my own hair ash brown and even said I did a good job making it even! Overall, I highly recommend Yeye as a hair stylist and I'll definitely be seeing her again! She's very kind, easy to talk to, and an extremely skilled and knowledgeable hair stylist.

It seems to be very on trend right now, and I was determined to polish my personal style. Also, you can bring a friend for a 2-person session! Yeye is very good at giving her honest opinion so.. don't come if you're not ready for honesty. She showed me colors I look best in, as well as colors that are not my best. At first I thought the analysis would only include color draping but she truly went above and beyond. She even told me what hairstyles would suit my face shape best, and what hair colors to go for. The whole process was thorough -- she even did an analysis of my makeup and was determined to find a lip shade that suited my complexion, which is something even I have been struggling with since I started wearing makeup. Yeye also gave me clothing recommendations such as neckline styles that would suit me. The experience felt personalized and I have incorporated her advice into my shopping habits even months later. After our appointment she sent me home with a bunch of style guides along with outfit and hair inspo. I truly feel she has helped me elevate my style this year. I shopped according to my color season and I feel a lot more confident in my personal style. After having blonde hair for so long she convinced me to go brunette and I have no regrets. In any case, there's only one person whom I trust with: 1. Babylights or really fine highlights 2. Hair smoothening to remove the frizz. The toner or the gloss could be better. I go to a different salon in Saratoga for the babylights to be touched up properly with dark brown+gold toner sometimes. Because they always leave the highlights brassy looking here. It's unfortunately that I have a Part 1 (highlights) here and a Part 2 (toner/gloss) elsewhere but that's the way I prefer it.

And at least 4 to 5 times I told the lady that we wanted to keep his hair on the longer side. I did an extensive research using AI and came upon this establishment. I called last week and was able to schedule an appointment the following week (Tuesday at 10am !!!)) I didn't know what to expect since I've never gotten a perm before but the hair stylist was Yoko and she was so kind and patient. She helped getting me situated where we discussed what type of perm I wanted. She shampooed my hair and that off the bat was so relaxing and set the tone of my experience. We had a great conversations as she prepared my hair - while doing the perm I was given some nice Korean coffee and was asked if I was comfortable while the perm was setting it. Yoko provided me Instructions on how to maintain the perm and also provided me products to help maintain my hair. My months of growing my hair out and finally getting my first perm experience was fantastic. I'll becoming back in 6weeks for my touch ups. Yoko really took care of me and I enjoyed the experience!!!

I showed them a couple pictures of what I wanted and they seemed super experienced. They were knowledgeable, checked in frequently, and had great recommendations and tips for after care. It took a long time (~4 hours) but I feel like it was definitely worth it. It's been a few weeks and I really like the way the curls sit, especially after a hair wash day. My hair is stick straight so I didn't know how it would hold but my hair looks styled all the time. 1000/10 can't wait to go back!
