He spent a ton of time with me comparing different frames, figuring out what actually looked best on me, and then helping me get the shades just right. GREAT STYLES BUT POOR SERVICE They carry very cool frames but I had a bad experience with the lenses. I had to go back twice to get them redone because they failed to listen to my instructions the first time. Specifically, I asked for high index (and paid for it) and when I picked them up it was not applied. Secondly, when the frames came back they had some sort of heat/melting damage from possibly re inserting the lenses. There was also a problem with the prescription itself where I could not even see properly out of the lenses. They have a problem with their lab or something but I can't recommend them until they fix whoever does their lenses. On the bright side, I get a lot of compliments on my glasses, which I customized, its too bad they don't have a higher quality lab. read more

Sleek and trendy sunglasses and great service. Illesteva sunnies are a little pricey but for the cost they'll help fix your shades if any issues arise. After about a year of wear my sunglasses were extremely stretched out to the point where I was unable to wear them. An associate at Illesteva was able to tighten them no problem and now they are as good as new. You can also buy a new pair of lenses for 30 dollars which I needed because mine were scratched. Not ideal, but considering they are a 250$ pair of glasses it's a worthy investment. Now my sunglasses look as good as new. Only knocking off a star because my sunglasses do bend and stretch pretty easily. But if you can get yourself to a shop they'll fix them up no problem. There is also a ton of selection (way more than other retailers that carry them) - so I highly suggest paying the shop a visit if you are looking for styles other than the classics. read more

Bought the Lisbon pair online. Super uncomfortable. They pinched and gave me a headache. Soho is too far and suggested I contact company about sending back as it needed melting to correct . Online customer service told me to bring it to any eyeglass center to fix at my cost. Ridiculous response for $200.00 glasses. ILLESTEVA and this store in IN PARTICULAR are a true dream. Fantastic shades (and some half-decent sales) to boot. Have gotten my mangled Illesteva shades repaired not once but TWICE at this location, quickly and without cost. On my most recent visit, my ladies Yevi, Bahar and their friendly google home were the hands on deck and they were lovely and beyond helpful. (They also cleaned the sand out of my lenses which - and I mean this - they REALLY didn't have to) Do yourself a favour and ask yourself if Nidhi, David and Alfred's reviews on this page are really about the place or about personal problems that ought to bear little consequence on the brilliant and amenable salespeople in this store. (They're the latter, let's be real). My biggest question is whether or not the orange tree in the window is real - keep forgetting to check for myself everytime I'm in there. I was not a sunglass person until I learned about this brand! The frames are super comfortable and come in so many varieties/colors that I can find the perfect gift for any friend or family member. I bought the Milan and Leonard for myself and I love them both. So chic, so comfortable. I can't think of a good thing to say about this place. My glasses have broken twice. Once while in the case they provide. They repaired them and told me there is a defect in the $200 glasses. That's it. You bought bad sunglasses and we aren't doing anything about it. I also bought a pair (before the 2nd time they broke) for a birthday present for my brother. It was about 15 days after the purchase and they refused to return them. They were in perfect condition (never worn) and the store clerk kept muttering something about 7 days and a tag. I had to stay in the store for an hour pleading with someone to just be rational and let us exchange them for less expensive glasses. While we were there another person came in and HER GLASSES BROKE TOO! It was an extremely bizarre experience. I had glasses that had never been worn and a receipt. At no point during the purchase did anyone mention a 7 day return policy. They kept referring me to a customer service line that wasn't open on Saturday. I kept saying, but you're here right now and I am talking to you. It honestly felt like they were robbing me and couldn't understand why I wasn't enjoying it. Stopped by on a whim to purchase sunglasses for my GF. The pretty sales girl was beyond indifferent and "liked" all the styles I did. No biggie. Purchased and gifted. Two weeks+ later my girlfriend was unsure. We made a trip down to the store to exchange. Where we were promptly and curtly told that the exchange window had closed. We were met with such a condescending attitude that we left without incident. The reason I bought her the $175 glasses in the first place was because my original pair continually become loose at the hinges. Silly me to think a brand these days would have any loyalty or integrity. I realize every company must have policies in place. But attitudes no. Delivery of bad news can go far. Also 1 minute using that fancy computer system could reveal a customers brand loyalty. read more

Be careful and SUPER SURE before buying a pair of Illesteva glasses from this store. Undoubtedly they have the most trendy and chic styles. However the store return/exchange policy is extremely stringent. They only have a 7 day return policy with fine print that the label should be intact. I bought a pair of $300 glasses which after coming home I changed my mind about keeping . I returned it within the 7 day window in an undamaged, brand new, unworn condition. However, the store refused to accept my return as there was a slight rip in the label. The salesperson who sold me the glasses never even once mentioned anything about the label being intact for returns. Had I known, I would have been extremely careful.If you buy the same glasses from nordstrom or bloomingdales you get a 30-365 day return window as long as the item is undamaged and in a resaleable condition. I requested them to give me a store credit if not a refund. They did not oblige. Instead they recommended me to try to sell them online. Now im stuck with a $300 pair of sunglasses that I dont even love. Dont think I'll ever shop from that store again! Highly disappointed.. read more
