Awesome burrito spot! Think Chipotle, but a bigger and better burrito, and a local chain. Burrito was delicious and filling. Was not expecting there to be a bar inside off to the side, but I thought it was a great addition to the vibe they have. Was able to get a drink after eating my burrito and watch a few different sports on the TVs. Definitely a nice, local watering hole spot. I would definitely recommend and return here. Both for a burrito (to take to go, or eat there), and also if I was just looking for a casual spot to get a drink and maybe watch some sports.

Nick was hilarious! He was helping us tonight. He showed great service to us, and made our days! I would say that, NICK DESERVES A RAISE!

Two stars because it's edible, but certainly not enjoyable. My husband and I frequent many illegal Pete's locations and this one happens to be because it's closest to us, but we intentionally drive the extra 10 minutes further to go to the location on Colfax (which I highly recommend!). Quality is less than desirable, portion sizes are laughable, ambiance is average, and the queso is always grainy. I'm confused a great deal about how this location has so many reviews like my own and yet they do not change. The people have spoken! Adjust.

Get into it: First time here & I will definitely be back. I've been in Denver for 3 years now & I've passed by Illegal Pete's on 38th almost everyday, not thinking to stop in. Today was different. I wanted something quick without the hassle of waiting for a server or bartender. I got the burrito bowl with chicken and just about every topping they had lol. It's so fresh. I also tried the coin margarita and it's one to be reckoned with. My bartender squeezed fresh lime into a tin, added reposado tequila and a tad bit of agave. Only for $7 bucks? YAS PLEASE. Oh & happy hour is everyday from 3pm-6pm. You're welcome. See y'all soon!

This location is typically pretty busy but make up for it for the portions. The atmosphere inside is relaxed and a fun environment. Burrito was packed to the max and always mix the insides before closing, a key aspect to a good burrito. Always gotta add the potatoes bites inside. They are cut very small and nice and crispy. This was our first time getting drinks and I will be getting these more often! The bartender started to pour and my eyes got big because it was a FAR pour. He laughed and said yeah this is how we always pour, not just me. It was $16, with tip, for two strong margaritas. You want a nice strong drink? IP's is def your place. Overall, IP's always is a great burrito, not long wait, and fun environment to eat your meal in or hang out while you wait.

In order to get to the tiki bar you have to walk through another bar called The Glory Hole. The first bar serves beer and wine and the tiki bar has all the fun tropical drinks. Imagine telling the bartender you want a throat goat with a straight face lol. It was pretty early when we were there so not many people but I can see this place being packed on the weekends. The new space is bigger, which is nice because the old location could get pretty packed. The vibe is still completely over the top in the best possible way. Everywhere you look there's some new detail you didn't notice before. The cocktails were fantastic. Creative, balanced, and fun without sacrificing quality. And yes, some of them are literally on fire, which feels appropriate given the name. Also, I don't know who was in charge of the decor, but they clearly weren't afraid to commit to a theme. I'll just say there are some very noticeable decorative choices throughout the space that gave our table plenty to laugh about. If you're looking for a standard cocktail bar, this isn't it. If you're looking for a memorable night out, this absolutely is.

Lincolns absolutely delivers on the speakeasy vibe - from trying to find the door, to figuring out how to actually get inside (LOL), to settling in with drinks once you're finally through. It makes the whole experience feel interactive and memorable. **Tip: it actually isn't too hard to find. I won't completely spoil it for people who want the fun of the hunt, but I'll leave a few hints at the bottom. The drink special that night - their version of an Old Fashioned - was excellent and absolutely worth ordering. The other cocktails are liquor + mixer with the soda or bar gun. We tried a local gin (can't remember the name) & soda and a Four Roses Bourbon & Pepsi. There was a odd flavor that came with that round and tasted watered down. Stick with the special. So good! I'd go back all day for the special alone. The staff was a little bit of an outlier compared to the rest of the experience. Everyone was nice, but they didn't seem especially engaged, and the attire didn't really match the speakeasy atmosphere. That said, the space itself is large and immersive enough that once we had our drinks, we just leaned into the whole experience and had a great time. HINTS: 1. Go to the address listed... duh. 2. Something is COOKING through the glass. 3. Find the stairs down. 4. If you hear music and see some impressive doors, figure out how to LIFT the handle to get inside.
