We had lunch at Ilima Terrace during our stay at Grand Hyatt. The staff was very friendly and gave us an amazing table with a view. We had the the Ahi Poke Bowl and Mirin-miso Glazed Mahi. Both were delicious but my favorite was the poke bowl. It was server with a very unique and delicious edamame mousse which gave the poke bowl a wonderful flavor. Will be coming back for breakfast tomorrow.

This is such a great place to come for breakfast. The views are amazing and we especially loved watching the swans. They have a huge amount of options. We especially loved the pancakes. Worth the price!

Another great New Year's brunch at Ilima Terrace. No wait for our party of 4, and an extremely friendly and accommodating server. Loved my omelette and the overall spread of food. Coffee was a little weak. But with the views and tasty food, I still love this buffet.

It seems overpriced, but is comparable to every other restaurant in the area. Delicious, fresh offerings. My favorite is the papaya with chia pudding (the first option on the menu), but instead of having a side of oatmeal brûlée, I feel like it should have a protein as a side. The servers are always so friendly and the swan couple you get to watch as you dine puts a romantic spin on the experience.

Breakfast buffet was so awesome. Mainly for the experience- the view, the all you can eat, the variety of options, the service. Definitely a hefty price tag (90+ for 2), but we're on our honeymoon so we said sure! Probably wouldn't go here on the regular. The highlights were the salmon loch bagel, kalua pig hash, small shots of kombucha/juice, lemon poppy seed pancakes, endless eggs Benedict, lots of fresh fruit (mango specifically), etc... So fun to try everything, with a crazy morning view!

Pancakes with coconut flakes and macadamia nuts -- yummy and surprisingly "light", airy fluffy bakery!

Best breakfast on the South Shore. Go for the buffet. It shifts expectations of the standard Hyatt breakfast. We enjoyed collection of morning "shots" - watermelon + chili + ginger / cantaloupe + orange + ginger/ green apple + kale + celery / Kauai kombucha. To me, green one with kale was the best taste! Weligton pie is mind - numbing, so good and melting in your mouth. Pancakes are fluffy and "airy". Eggs, omelettes, fruit -- very good selection and cooking style. Only the selection of cheese could be better, in my view. Prices are very reasonable. If you go to nearby places, you would spend roughly the same amount of money, but for less quality food. No to mention fascinating views, birds chirping, great customer audience and helpful team.

Amazing food with the best view, great service. Highly recommend the quesadilla. Bartender knows a good mojito.

The atmosphere here is unbelievable! The view will take your breath away. The breakfast buffet has everything you could want and then some. I'm usually not big into buffets but the quality of the food and ample options was amazing. They even had a make your own inlet station with a very friendly chef. Satcha made our whole experience even better. She is so warm and friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure my husband and I are having the best honeymoon! She deserves all the praise in the world.

Food here was actually better than what I've had elsewhere on the island, and it comes with a view! 4.5 rounded up to 5 stars. We ordered a poblano quesadilla ($18), island cobb salad ($23), and a side of fries ($6). As a Hyatt discoverist member, we also got a 20% discount for lunch. The poblano quesadilla doesn't come with cheese- odd for the name. But our server mentioned this right off the bat and asked if we wanted to add it on. We didn't hesitate because what even is a quesadilla without cheese?! He didn't mention if it would cost extra, so we were pleasantly surprised to see it wasn't an addition fee when we got the bill. The quesadilla on its own is average and definitely needs the salsa it came with. The cobb salad was light and the papaya dressing was delicious. I requested no bacon and chicken on the side, and my server obliged without an issue. Waffle fries were exactly as I expected. Is was craving fries, and this hit the spot.

We came here for brunch, but keep in mind they recently changed their chef, so the lunch menu is quite different from what's shown on Yelp or Google. Be sure to check their website for the latest menu. Nevertheless, we were impressed with the restaurant's pleasant ambiance, situated next to a serene pond with two elegant white swans and a bunch of fishes. The staff was welcoming, and the food, while different, was quite enjoyable. We opted for the Ahi Poke bowl and the Fish and Shrimp salad, both of which were well-portioned and tasty. Additionally, it's conveniently located within the Grand Hyatt, which is where we're staying. If you happen to be a Globalist member, you'll also enjoy an extra 20% off your bill at this establishment.

A special Mother's Day buffet from morning until 5 pm. A beautiful venue, live acoustic guitar singer, balloon creations and face painting for the children, and tasty food!

A beautiful location with a grand view of the ocean. Service was prompt and friendly as expected. Wonderful presentation of their tasty meals. My husband and son liked their grass-fed beef burgers and I enjoyed my poke plate. It was pricey but we were on vacation and the whole experience was well-worth it!!

Is complimentary parking available for the breakfast buffet?

Parking is free. I don't even recall having to get anything validated. This was June 2023

Is the breakfast buffet pricing the same for adults and children?

Aloha, no we are not offering any dinner buffets other than the luau which takes place on Wednesday & Saturday.

We had a terrific happy hour on a Wednesday. The servers were all super friendly and made great…read moresuggestions. We sat on the patio by the pool and luckily the umbrella was large enough to block the sun! The food all tasted great. The crab dip with 6 or 8 pieces of toasted focaccia was high quality with real crab not surimi. We ordered the flatbread with chicken instead of pork and it was also very good with a nice crispy crust and moist chicken chunks. The wedge salad was a large piece with crisp bacon, candied pecans, grape tomato halves and a tasty dressing. It only needed some red onion to make it perfect. The calamari were crispy but the portion size was too small and the pieces of calamari were too small so the ratio of crust to fish was too high.

We were staying at the resort and had money in credit so we got both breakfast and lunch here…read more The food is okay. Breakfast is better. The pancakes were good. But everything is very pricey and we had better breakfast elsewhere on the island. Lunch was also okay. Nothing to write home about. The one good thing was their Holoholo pie for dessert. Very tasty. We likely never would have eaten here is we didn't have the credit to spend. If you're at the resort and you need something easy, it's definitely somewhere to go but I wouldn't come here besides that. Also, they served me a water with a dead lizard in it! They didn't even care or really apologize about it.

We were very happy to stumble upon the fact that this was a restaurant in addition to a market. We…read morecame twice in three days. We sat on the patio but they call the main dining room however it is outside. The host and the servers were very nice on both days helping us choose our dishes and beverages. The first night were shared the shrimp and unui (sp?) patties. They were tasty and slightly sweet but over-charred and the sauce served with them did not complement them very well. It needed a fresher sauce or something with a little kick The first night I Had the chicken Which is actually a tiny little bird I should've known from the name. - pouisson. It was well cooked, but there was very little meat on all of the bones. And also needed a sauce of some kind. The one baby bok choy was a nice addition. Two of the group had the fish and chips it was made with swordfish that night and was very tasty. However, the chips were slightly limp and not hot. No one wanted to return them, but they really were not very good. One of the other entrées was the veggie bowl with seared Aji tuna and it had quinoa at the bottom with lots of roasted beets and other vegetables. It was a very good dish. The second time I ordered the grilled seafood bowl because that night they were offering Oppa as the grilled fish on the kebabs/skewers that were served on top of the bowl the seafood was cooked, absolutely perfectly, and it had pickled cucumbers, pickled red onions, slightly cooked carrots, and then regular cucumbers on top of lightly dressed soba noodles. It was a very tasty and hearty bowl. We also ordered a kale, beet and blue cheese salad for the table, but what came out was their strange version of Caesar salad, which has chickpeas on it which of course we did not want. It took them quite a while to bring the kale and beet salad to the table, however when they did, it was quite tasty a combination I would not have thought of on my own The first night we ordered the passionfruit cheesecake which had a strange chocolate crust that was too thick and a very light topping of passionfruit. It was fine, but we would not order it again. The whole restaurant is a nice change from all of the really overpriced offerings in the area. The food is fresh and tasty and the service is professional and fun at the same time.

Best poke bowl that I had on Kauai!…read more This restaurant has outdoor seating and also a health-centered grocery store inside. It's in the main Poipu outdoor shopping mall area. We ordered takeout and while waiting for our food, we browsed the grocery aisles and then checked out the surrounding shops. I really enjoyed the Ahi poke bowl. There was this tasty kimchi cucumber on the side with sweet o ions and avocado. The fish was fresh. G got the quinoa and vegetable bowl, topped with roasted chicken. It was a delicious salad with beets, macadamia nuts, kale, and more- and the chicken was nice and moist.

This is a great, fun, affordable option while staying in Poipu!!! We've already been here twice…read more The key is to go during their happy hour time from 3-6pm daily. The first time we spent just over $100 for a family of 5, and last night we got out of there for $88. That is a feat in this part of town! The happy hour is unbeatable. $7 drinks and 25 cent wings. Note that you have to have minimum two drinks per person, but they don't have to be alcoholic--we got a cocktail as our first and soda water as the second. The cocktails are quite large, so you can still get the $7 price if you order a soda or sparkling water as your second drink. The waitress was super helpful and let us know that last night! We went for taco Tuesday yesterday and the tacos were $1 each! They were good--not insane but great for the price and hit the spot. The service is great and the food and drinks come out quickly despite being busy. The drinks are standard fare, nothing crazy delicious, but for the price it's great. The food is all yummy. We especially love their chicken wings! Home-fried and lots of meat. All of the dipping sauces are excellent too. We haven't had a bad dish here!
