They told me where to go next, which was to the gentleman's locker room and then go to the quiet room. I quickly found the locker room, but upon entering was taken aback by how small the locker room was. There's a single bench in the middle and all the lockers I saw right there were all there were. So, if more than 2 guys were checking in or using the locker room at once, they would be bumping into each other. I didn't know where the fresh robes and slippers were, since no one previously informed me, but I quickly figured where they both were. But there were also plenty of used slipper, robes, and towels laying around that no one had tended to yet. I disrobed, put on the robe and then sought out the quiet room... I had a hard time finding it because the room that "appeared" to be it was so tiny and had 2 women in it taking up the whole room with their loud conversation, I didn't think that was it, so I walked back out to the receptionist to ask and she told me that room was, in fact the quiet room. I went in and fortunately the "chatty Cathy's" quieted down and moved closer to each other, but when two more ladies came up, there was nowhere for them to sit, so they sat on ottomans. Ridiculous accommodations here!! Fortunately I didn't have to wait long and my therapist came to get me. He was helpful, friendly, and definitely very professionally skilled in massage therapy! I had an 80 minute session, which was painful at times, but I also appreciate a therapeutic massage. After the massage, I went back to the locker room to take a shower and then hit the hot tub and pool. The hot tub and pool area was pretty big, especially compared to the locker room and other areas of the spa. The temperature in the hot tub was spot-on, perfect for relaxing in there. The only issue was the horrible amount of chlorine they used... It literally took an entire day to get that smell out of my nose! The pool was clean and very nice and the temperature was great! Not cold at all! Overall, I enjoyed the massage and the pool area but didn't feel as relaxed as I should have (people need to know to SHUT UP when in a spa) and comfortable as I should have, due to the small spaces. But it was still very nice.

The check-in and retail area is bright and well-curated. Kinh was the attendant and she was wonderful. I checked in and then went into the tea lounge for relaxation. Kinh then took myself and another guest to the spa area. The spa amenities are downstairs, but treatment rooms are both upstairs and downstairs. The elevator is located in the main hotel so if you need to use it, you must leave the spa. The locker room is fine. There are a few showers, plus some vanities and toiletries. There is not a swimsuit spinner and there should be one. What is really nice about this spa is the vitality pool. For amenities, they have a steam room, sauna, vitality pool, and relaxation lounge. The vitality pool is the biggest part of a spa experience for me, and many spas in this area do not offer that. The one here is sparkling clean and warm. And I went early enough that I had it to myself, which was even better. Sauna and steam room were lovely and I appreciate the eucalyptus cooling towels. The relaxation lounge is great. The snacks are not. The offerings are fresh fruit, pretzels, mixed nuts, and wasabi peas, along with spa water and two types of tea. The pretzels were stale. I recommend a snack mix, a trail mix, and maybe something sweet along with fruit and beverages. I've had much better spa snacks. I inadvertently booked a facial without extractions, which is honestly pointless. However, it was very relaxing, and I did feel myself starting to fall asleep a few times, and since I was visiting for relaxation, I didn't mind. I would never book it again though and my skin didn't look all that great after. The spa lacks the elegance and ritual that was included when it was Mandarin Oriental. I was really trying not to compare, but it's hard. Even arrival was a downgraded experience because none of the doormen assisted with exiting the car (same upon leaving). The website is atrocious and they should be embarrassed by it. Still, I'd return for a treatment that I was really looking forward and has value, with hopes that some improvements have been made.

I called their Bethesda location, and the first receptionist claimed we weren't in the system--even though I booked on Wednesday at 2:22 PM (I checked my call log and took a screenshot). Someone took all of my details including my credit card, but somehow my appointment "didn't exist." Then the owner got on the phone and said she actually could see me in their system but didn't know what happened. She blamed a software switch on Tuesday... but I booked on Wednesday. So that excuse made no sense. Her only solution was to ask if we could come tomorrow. No, we actually can't--because unlike her business, we plan ahead. I took the weekend off from my real estate schedule to celebrate. We booked a hotel in Tysons, hired a dog sitter, and made a whole day of this. And it was completely wasted. What really stunned me was the total lack of care. No apology that felt meaningful. No attempt to make it right. No offer of a complimentary service. Nothing. I'm a business owner myself, and I would never handle a mistake like this this way. Our anniversary plans were basically ruined because this spa didn't bother to honor our confirmed appointment--or provide any real remedy afterward. Don't waste your time or money here. Note: yes I am aware different therapists can make the experience different but quality control has to come from the top. If you have to bring someone in as I asked for a male therapist, then don't just get someone who is bored / unhappy to be there, and makes it known to the client that he is not into the massage and got called in last minute about 3 hours before. Coincidentally 3 hours before is when *i called Prince salon and spa to confirm my appointment, the timing makes me think they forgot my appt and planned late. Her name is Ligia (pronounced Leah) and she proceeded to provide maximum relaxation via a deep tissue/Swedish combo massage. Listen, I actually went to sleep and had to be awakened! I was not ready to go! The best way to describe her hands, was like a body facial application! Her hands were buttery soft but woah the pressure was spot on!! It felt like I was floating hence I went to sleep! Towards the end, face up was time spent on my scalp, face and Decollete...who knew I needed that soooo bad! It was heavenly!! Turns out she's a trained esthetician which made sense that she was so smooth with the facial massage. I am so relaxed and legit had to sit for 15 minutes to gather energy to drive home. After taking care of elderly parents for 2 weeks (ripping and running), this 90 minute massage was needed and deserved! I'm thrilled for E&S and Iris!
