Was just told to call and make the appointments, so I did. I found it odd I had to call several times before someone ever picked up the phone, but chalked it up to them being busy or perhaps understaffed so I didn't think much of it at the time. The day before my first appointment, a woman left me a voicemail confirming the date and time of my facial. The day of the appointment I show up to their suite, I see the sign "Veranda Park Aesthetics" on the door, I go to open the door and its locked. Its a wooden door and no windows, so I cannot see if anyone is there. I begin to knock several times while calling the main line. I leave repeated voicemails. After 20 minutes I leave and call back leaving an angry message that I showed up to my appointment to find nobody there and I'd like a call back, explanation and to reschedule my facials. NO CALL BACK. Finally after calling for 3 days repeatedly after the no show incident, a new woman answers the phone. When I explained what happened and asked why no one has decided to call me back yet, she robotically and unfazed, just took down my information and said "someone will get back to you regarding this". No one ever did. I have since contacted Groupon and got my money back. But I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Unprofessional, rude, and all around shady if they can't run on a proper staff that can't even show up for appointments OR call a customer back to apologize and make the situation right.

So I paid them $600 for 6 treatments of laser hair removal. I went in for my first treatment, nervous as hell (as I was getting legs, underarms, and a full brazilian), and they did nothing to ease my tension. Jamie just started getting a machine ready, which wasn't working properly. She was in and out of the room without any kind of explanation as to what was going on, then finally told me we needed to go in a different room because that machine wouldn't even turn on. I should have taken my money back and ran right at that time. So we go in the other room with another machine and we get started. Underarms weren't really a problem. Legs were okay too but she didn't have too much compassion for me when the laser was hitting the more sensitive areas. So we get through legs finally, then we move on to the braziliian. Oh my lord, so painful. I had to have her stop multiple times, and her comment to me was "You don't have kids do you. Women who have had kids think this is a breeze." Thanks for nothing. Regardless of the unprofessionalism, the job was getting done and I'll deal with it to no longer have to shave. We get done finally and I make my next appointment for mid August. I call and call and call and call. After two weeks someone named Jasmine calls me back telling me that Jamie had some kind of surgery and she's been out, but she'll call me back. No call back. After a week I start to call and call and call again, and finally get a call back (after another two weeks) from the same Jasmine chick who told me Veranda Park had been bought out but they will continue my treatments, and Jamie will get back to me. NO CALL, surprising. *Side note - I now wonder if they knew they were getting bought out so they told me what they could to keep me at bay until they got out of there, therefore not having to refund me. I start calling and calling again, and a man answers who tells me he will contact Jamie and I should get my money back, and he'll call me back the next day. OF COURSE, NO CALL. This was two weeks ago now and I am still calling, and letting them know I will not stop calling until I get my money back. I paid for a treatment, and even if Veranda Park Aesthetics was bought out, the new owners should still be responsible for the clients Veranda Park had. I'm just beyond pissed. Who has that kind of money they'd be okay with just walking away from? I'd wanted this done for YEARS, my husband surprised me with saying we finally had the money to be able to do it. If anyone has any advice on anything else I can do, please let me know!!

I booked a lymphatic massage and wood therapy, and both were exactly what I needed -- relaxing, effective, and professionally done. The spa itself is super clean and calming as soon as you walk in. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the vibe was peaceful without feeling too "clinical" The lymphatic massage was gentle but purposeful, and I could feel a noticeable difference afterward -- lighter, less bloated, and super relaxed. The wood therapy was new for me, but the therapist explained everything and made me feel comfortable the whole time. It was a bit more intense, but in a good way -- and I definitely noticed some contouring effects. They really take their time with you and focus on what your body needs, which I appreciated. If you're looking for a nice spa experience in Orlando I'd definitely recommend Alora. I'm already thinking about booking again next time I'm in town!
