To start off this place has an amazing view of the city-instagram worthy pics for sure. Dress fancy- I wore a cotton dress and my husband wore khakis and a button down shirt and while we weren't underdressed, there were full length dresses and suits on most people. We were seated outside for our dinner, which was great. We were greeted promptly and service throughout the meal was great. We dhad pre-booked the 3 course menu, but I got the sense you could change once you got there. The menu included an appetizer, choice of a first or second course and dessert. The stand out for me was the carrot gnocchi ; it was one of the top 2 gnocchi I have ever had, the nuts on top made the dish. My husband had the octopus and while it was difficult to cut, it wasn't tough to eat. We opted to add some dishes for a total of 9 plates between 2 people, and it was the perfect amount of food. The meal was good, but not as stand out as some of the other pairings we have done. Wine pairing was great.

Great restaurant in Rome! It's a rooftop ambiance with a piano player. The staff is absolutely amazing! I was referred by my hotel. I ordered the first dish with the green spaghetti and I did not like it at all. I asked for something simple like regular spaghetti the Chef gets 10/10! It was soooooo delicious!!! Thanks for making my birthday weekend memorable. It is pricey about $150 per person but worth every $$

Still an unbelievable view and courteous service. But, a few things were a bit off during my lunch today. The glass of champagne was the last one in the bottle, obviously left over from yesterday because my table was only the second one to arrive after they opened, and flat. The other wines by the glass I had with my meal were excellent. Usually the bread comes out piping hot, but not this time. It really is much better when warm. Expensive and not quite up to par today for the prices.

This view is amazing! They could cut corners on the food and service but this place delivers on all fronts! We saw 2 birthday parties and one engagement (she said yes!) so this is definitely a special occasion restaurant. Get there early enough to have a drink on the top deck, the Sky Bar. I should have taken more photos for my review but I was enjoying myself too much to think about photos! Yum!

Perfect-- Ambiance, presentation , service & live music. I would like to recommend our server, Emmanuelle, who was very attentive, conversational, thorough, knowledgeable and kind. Thank you for this experience. I hope to return one day in the future!

You pay for the view, but they don't give you the view. We were seated inside behind a pole even though there were 4 tables open outside along the window. They charge 20 per glass for their most inexpensive wine (online the same bottle costs 9 for the bottle) and the portions are small and not very good. At the end the busser fished for a tip. I've never felt more ripped off in my whole life. Underwhelming food, overpriced wine and cocktails, pushy rude servers and a busser who fished for a tip in a culture where tipping is not necessary. The absolute definition of a tourist trap and quite honestly, the worst I have ever felt leaving a restaurant.

This was our first restaurant we dined at when we visited Italy. It is located on the 10th floor (if I recall correctly??) of an opulent hotel. Guys, this place is gorgeous. Definitely dresses and slacks with button downs-- don't come in your street clothes or you will be embarrassed. Wait staff is in full suit and tie. The menu had multiple vegetarian options which was much appreciated. My husband got the pesto and thought it was great. I must warn my American brethren, they don't use salt and pepper when cooking so you will need to ask for table salt. I had the eggplant and it was pretty good. The atmosphere and view were spectacular! I would also recommend for a special occasion.

Not busy but steady traffic around 9:45 on a Tuesday evening. A good amount of Roman square pizza options. We got a slice of just about everything that was available. Potato/sausage (stood out as we hadn't had this before), Zucchini Pesto was delicious, Ham and classic Margherita also didn't disappoint. Crust was light/airy and made for the perfect balance between crust and toppings. Beer and soft drinks were also available. Service was quick and friendly. If in the Monti district, make this stop for reasonably priced traditional pizza al trancio.

A yummy thing happened on the way to the Colosseum …read more.. Pane & Vino is a tiny sandwich shop near il Colosseo that specializes in local porchetta (stuffed pork loin) and is run by the friendliest owner of all time. He gets to know every customer on a first name basis. I'd go back more to see him than to have a sandwich. Seriously, he's pretty awesome. The menu is simple and focused on sandwiches featuring their famous porchetta so we tried two recommendations from the peppy proprietor. While waiting, I got a miniature bottle of Chardonnay and my spouse sipped a Coke Zero. The Traiano Porchetta sandwich (12€ - 4 stars) is an original creation of the out-going owner with a mighty Mustard-flavored blend of Roast Pork, Sun-dried Tomatoes, and Grilled Eggplant. I like mustard and, therefore, liked this specialty much more than my wife, but we ended up ignoring portions of the so-so bun. Pane & Vino Special Porchetta (12€ - 4 stars) was a huge sandwich with the sliced Roast Pork Porchetta plus Mozzarella Cheese, Grilled Eggplant, Grilled Peppers, Mushrooms, Lettuce, and Mayo on classic Italian Pane. It needed more mayonnaise or a sprinkle of balsamic and olive oil for my tastes, but there was no denying it was a hearty hero. There are lots of pane bread and sandwich shops in Rome, but there is only one -- Pane & Vino -- run by the most welcoming of owners ever. If I'm in the neighborhood again, I'll be sure to stop in for a casual chat and some yummy porchetta sandwiches on the way to the Colosseum.

The cheese was creamy and delicious, and the vegan bacon was crunchy with the perfect texture - just like real bacon. The owner stated that it was made from pea protein, which I also would never have guessed. PRO TIP: The they close the kitchen between lunch and dinner (at 3:30) so be sure to get there earlier for full access to the menu. Even though I arrived late, the waiter asked the kitchen to make me carbonara, and I'm so glad they did! I will definitely be coming back here again to try their other vegan dishes. The bruschetta was also phenomenal. The tomatoes are so much sweeter and the olive oil so smooth, much better than in the U.S. And of course, I can't forget the noodles - perfectly al dente and fresh. I feel so spoiled when I eat pasta in Italy!

All this is to say, while in Italy, I've had excellent cheese - and with vegan cheese being hit or miss, I went in a bit nervous about the vegan cheese platter appetizer. However, the cheese really blew me away: it was excellent vegan cheese and with great variety. The cheese on the platter had different textures and different flavors (including one with a delicious kick that I happily would've bought a block of) and did a great job emulating non-vegan cheese plates. I followed this up by trying their 3-d printed steak in pumpkin sauce. Firstly, the pumpkin sauce was incredible: I generally only tolerate pumpkin-based products, but I found this pumpkin sauce delicious - excellent flavor profile and perfectly complimenting the steak. For the steak: you definitely won't confuse this with actual meat, but it was still good and flavorful - and the texture itself was super interesting. It had the bit of a real steak but with layers and complexity. I'm very glad I ended up trying this. All in all, the dishes we ordered were all great - and really interesting. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone - even if you aren't vegan!
