Owner Carole is often working inside with 1 rotating staff member, mostly organizing the shelves. The selection is very much Melissa & Doug's active catalog and Hatley branded footwares along with a smattering of other goods like Mad Libs, some trinkets, and . Pricing is an issue as obviously all customers know Amazon and online retainers of preference (eCommerce offers tons of membership, loyalty and affiliate shopping, wider selection, Walmart offers next day delivery free to metro NYC, etc.) thus seeing the prices like Melissa & Doug's Frozen Treats for $34 here vs $19 online or Wooden Sushi set for $26 vs $15 online are a problem. Likely customers are from nearby StuyTown or working at the many local medical institutions and businesses in Kips Bay thus of normal incomes thus likely to do as such. The staff visibily disprefer children play for beyond 30mins else they'll actively suggest one leave. It's likely to quell previous problem situations and to maintain an open floor space devoid of children. It's good thus for a quick blow through without the kids to get ideas then to move onto better priced retailers as most customers seen while there seemingly came in to spectate then cruise out without purchase. There're event spaces in the rear, namely a doored room of about 80 ft2 and the front area which can be closed to retail and converted to a large sitting area where the kids playareas are easily moved and removed. Posted are a schedule of events along with flyer advertising from area children's-related businesses.

From the moment we entered to the moment we left there was an "off vibe" in the store almost like we were intruding and not welcome. When my daughter asked Natalie if she had a bigger size in stock since all we could find was medium, she barely looked over and curtly told us they only carry mediums in the store and I could order any larger size online. It was super uncomfortable and disappointing and definitely not what is represented on social media!

I have been a fan of Cloak and Dagger since my days of working at Metrotech in downtown Brooklyn…read more Last weekend I was making my way down to the museum when I noticed their east village location. Wow!! Talk about gorgeous! I wanted every Zooey Deschanel Peter Pan collared dress and leather booties in the shop. This season was almost Wes Anderson movie lay out. There was little circular green suitcases, patterned shirts, colored slacks and fun printed little scarves for purse flare. I also loved the way the styled the model in a feminine slightly rocker look. The real drool-worthy item in my opinion is the Opening Ceremony purse with a small metal hand closure! Stunning! And with a pair of Andy Warhol's Factory silver shoes styled underneath the purse! Fabulous! The clerk showed me the wallet and it had a black hand with red nail polish closure and the coin purse inside even had a little hand as an opener. This is also a great place to find cards for many occasions! Thank you's and birthday cards are the popular ones. And adorable and soaps for when you have out of town guest! My favorite has to be the double printed pineapple wall paper! It made me happy and I wanted all for myself. I will be making more visits to this little shop and my wardrobe will thank me and my wallet will hate me. We can't all be happy. Sorry wallet!

2.5 stars Walked by…read morein Soho and noticed the large sign stating everything is $7! That drew in my friend and I. We liked a few items, but it seems like the shop is tailored for certain size women (on the slimmer side). Lots of crop tops and summer wear items and dresses. There was a downstairs, but a sign states can't bring any items down from the main floor- so how can we check it out while holding other items? The register isn't going to hold the items. There was also a sign that states can't try on anything for sizing as the majority of the clothes had tags removed. Just had the name brand, and some had wash instruction tags, but the majority had nothing. It was hard to tell sizing with the majority of the clothes as they were just small and tight (for super model sizes). P.S. all signs are handwritten on poster papers. Overall cute items but looks like a thrift shop with limited size options and is not allowed to try on to see if it fits. No refund if items don't fit. Be careful of purchases!

There are two floors, and it looks like most of the items are surplus from stores. For example, there was a 25$ jumpsuit that was discounted to 8$ at the shop. You can find items suitable for dressy occasions or casual wear. There are multiple duplicates of the same items with different sizes, but it's not guaranteed! It also doesn't seem to be that organized in terms of style. The entrance floor tends to have more of the classier/higher quality items, in my opinion. The bottom floor has more casual/lounge wear. This store is close to Muji, a Japanese clothing + more, and TJ Max.
